I officially take back everything bad I ever said about Chinese products.
If I could, I'd have Yummy Chinas babies.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Eric G.Buena Park, CA46276May 4, 2024
First time eating from Yummy China. Ordered the Wor Wonton soup and Shrimp tempura. The soup was slightly bland, but good nevertheless. Unfortunately, I received the fried shrimps instead of the Tempura. The wife got the Chicken Chow Mein and I ordered the House Special fried rice. Excellent choices for both. Also, (not their fault, but the GrubHub driver delivered my food to the house next door. Glad he's a friend.
Would have loved to go five stars on the first shot, but gotta go with four this time. I will definitely order from here again and give them another shot for the fifth star.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Itzel L.Long Beach, CA24524Jan 26, 2024
I went in thinking it was a fast food Chinese place but it's not, it's a casual restaurant that does take out, my wait wasn't too bad in my opinion, I waited about 15-20 minutes for fresh cooked food, I can hear the very nice lady making the food behind me in the kitchen. The lady that took my order, cooked my food for me and packaged it for me to take was very very nice and helpful. I got what is pictured (Kung Pao chicken, broccoli beef, chow mein noodles, and potstickers) plus some wontons that I finished before taking this and it costs about $50 and it was worth it, this will be one of the places to go for Chinese food, for me

I've been getting takeout from this restaurant for the last 10 years and have never had a bad order. The food is super fresh, customizable and delicious!! The lady that works the front is incredibly nice and always has a smile. I usually call in an order and it's ready within 20-25 minutes

This quaint restaurant is one of my favorite take out places for Chinese comfort food. I usually do take out but this time decided to eat in. The place reminds me of a super old school Chinese neighborhood restaurant. They have a lot of traditional dishes that you find in most restaurants.
When eating in the food comes with hot and sour soup and it's actually pretty tasty. It's just a simple chicken broth with egg, tofu, and some mushrooms. I add a touch of soy and spice and it's perfect on a chilly evening.
The shrimp was delectable and so tasty. It had veggies, onion, bell pepper and a great garlic sauce. Came out piping hot and complemented the house fried rice perfectly.
The house fried rice was as perfect as you would expect from a small neighborhood mom n pop place. It wasn't too greasy, yet had great flavor and once again, added some chili pepper. It came with shrimp, beef, and chicken. Can't really go wrong with a house fried rice.
We also ordered the house chow Mein (pretty much anything with house is good lol) this was also great. The noodles were cooked just right and it had great flavor. It also comes with shrimp, beef, and pork I believe. It's family style and we all shared.
They get very busy and seem to cater mostly with take out. Service was great and they are so nice.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ryan R.Huntington Beach, CA103620Apr 19, 2023
I wanted something different and this place popped up on Apple Maps so I gave it a try, and I'm so glad I did. The lady was soooo nice, she even offered to take it out to my car if I didn't want to wait inside! When I got my food she said call if I have any questions or problems, but everything was perfect. The egg roll and crab Rangoon were both just fried and my kung pao was amazing. The carrots were thin so they weren't hard and all three meats were cooked perfect somehow. The chicken was tender, the beef was not chewing at all, and the shrimp wasn't over cooked. It's hard to find a Chinese restaurant with high quality protein. I'll definitely be back!

Is this the best Chinese food you'll ever have? Probably not. But the portion size and flavor warrants an 8/10. The lady is a total sweetheart. Service is 10/10. Support mom and pop's businesses

I almost don't want to review it just to keep it selfishly to myself, but that's mean....I know haha. From the service to the food, everything's great. Some of their best items:
BBQ pork fried rice
Vegetable chow-mein
Vegetable fried rice
Egg foo young
Egg rolls
Orange chicken
Everything is made to order & always hot & fresh. Family-owned & they're always super sweet which makes your food taste better. Love this spot!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Aug 14, 2019Previous reviewI can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet! Shame on me. This family owned business focuses on providing Chinese food that not only tastes delicious, but caters to its customers as well. The woman that usually takes orders over the phone is always super nice & patient when taking your order.
My favorites:
-Orange Chicken. Chicken is always nicely breaded and perfectly glazed in that sweet & spicy tangy orange sauce. Never chewy chicken that tastes mysterious or undercooked.
-vegetable chow mein. Yasssss. So good! They put mushrooms, watercress, broccoli, (minimal) cabbage, carrots...& I think that's it. I love love LOVE the veggies they put in their vegetable chow mein! I hate when I get a crap ton of cabbage in vegetable anything. Not here! The vegetables are my favorite!
-BBQ pork fried rice. Ugh. I could eat this alone & nothing else. It's soooo good. I'm not really into pork, but this...I will eat! The BBQ pork is finely chopped, which I personally like--I'm not a big fan of chunky meat. Sometimes the rice doesn't come with enough egg, but that's ok! I sometimes add a little extra egg myself. They always give a great amount of meat too! Sometimes you'll go to those Chinese restaurants where you're like, uh...where's the meat in this meat dish? Yummy China isn't about that life!
It's a sit down restaurant and a restaurant where you can pick up your food. It's located inside of a very sad parking lot, next to a Burger King; but don't judge it! I promise, it is DELICIOUS! Even my über picky aunt comes here all the way from Whittier just to eat the food here. It's that tasty! - Silvia N.Cypress, CA0482Jun 21, 2023
Marvelous restaurant, been coming here fir 25 years. Food prices $$ are reasonable and cooked on the spot. No buffet here. You have to wait at least 15 to 25 min depending on how much you order. Please visit them the owner is very nice.
