I I could give 100 stars I would. From the ability to join the wait line via the Yelp app prior to arriving to receiving amazing customer service - Yolk did not disappoint.
As mentioned, I joined the wait line as I was leaving my hotel which was about a 10 ride away from the restaurant. Upon arriving, I checked in with Daniella who greeted me with a beautiful smile and attitude. She is the perfect person to have as a hostess. After a short 3 minute wait we we're seated outside with Mia as our server. Mia , another awesome individual provided great service and offered delicious recommendations.
The food was amazing and comforting. I enjoyed not having to choose between an egg dish or pancakes as most dishes came with them (pancakes). My Country Skillet was a nice portion. I'm just mad I didn't have enough room in stomach to eat the entire thing.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 16, 2024
Popped in for brunch while in the area, our timing was spot on because we got seated immediately (usually you can expect a wait). Waiter was very friendly and helped us with the menu.
Protein & egg with a side of cheesy grits were quite good/fairly standard. Waiter suggested we upgraded the pancake for red velvet French toast which was so bomb! Melted in your mouth and was the right amount of sweetness.
Chicken or egg sandwich was also pretty standard - added both types of Yolk hot sauce on it and gave it the kick I would say it was missing.
Overall, this is a really good place with nice variety of dishes and drinks!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1742220Apr 2, 20241 check-in
Loved my visit to Yolk, not my first time going so I knew the food would be delicious (which it was) and that my service would be great. They did not disappoint, my server was quick and attentive and she even replaced my chai which came out lukewarm instead of hot.
Yolk is a super neat cafe-esque restaurant. Simple menu but great intention into each dish. Loved trying the Chilaquiles this time - it might be my new go to!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 159115550Mar 21, 20241 check-in
I received the best bubbly and upbeat greeting when I came in! This location is BYOB and there is a small shop across the parking lot where you can purchase alcohol if you desire.
The ambiance, style & decor is beautiful; large windows and was gorgeous during our visit! It wasn't too loud or crowded, and our table was spacious!
I got the Corned Beef Hash which was really tasty! It's a large portion, a lot for me to eat and I got full quickly! Having that with the pancakes (it comes with it) I was satisfied and it's worth the money spent. The menu has many options, it was hard to narrow down to a selection.
Our server Chris was a gem! She was very patient, kind and truly knowledgeable with recommendations and substitutes.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 20, 2024
Me and my friend came for breakfast and got iced coffees, breakfast burrito, and sausage / gravy biscuits. The iced coffee was the best part of this entire experience. We waited an insanely long time for our food to come out, and then the gravy/biscuits meal was actually cold. We really hate to send food back but the server was really nice about it, and brought it back warm, but it took a little longer than expected. I only ate a few bites of the breakfast burrito and didn't care to take it home. Unfortunately the potatoes were not very crispy either.
I don't think I would come back here given the plenty of other breakfast / brunch spots in the area.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 753279Apr 20, 20241 check-in
came to this place for brunch with some of my friends while I was on a trip! are unique thing about this place and many of the restaurants in Chicago that they do offer bring your own wine or champagne, which is what we did I believe that that's a nice little touch to the restaurant. Overall, my food was delicious! I was craving a good Chilaquiles Verde dish for quite some time now and this definitely hit the spot! I'm a big coffee lover, and the coffee was pretty basic to me. However, I also saw that they have a lot of options when it comes to refreshments. The fruit on the French toast was super fresh and we received great service! You will definitely enjoy the food overall if you visit this place.

We stopped by here for breakfast after a 5k event. When we signed up for the weight list, we were 50+ in line but it actually went by fast so don't be discouraged.
The service was good. They kept our waters filled and asked how we were doing. The food was OK. Typically breakfast food that wasn't anything different than other spots but they weren't bad either.
It's a reliable spot and located near a lot of tourist spots so worth checking out if you're in the area.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 22, 20241 check-in
This is an interesting place. First time there. Great service and more food than you can eat. That connected as to why i saw a few people walk out with leftovers.
It's a sit down table served kind of place but not so much like a chain version serving the basics. They do have the basics of eggs and pancakes but they do have lots of combination plates. I had the El Torero which was good but I was good for the smashed avocado mixed throughout.
Speaking of avocado they do Avocado Toast and other things like sweet ham. They even have several varieties of 5 egg dish offerings as standard. Yes, get your doggie bag ready because it's a lot of food.
I wasn't impressed with the regular coffee price coming in at $3.50. I went for the Cortado at only 25 cents more. If you are hankering for authentic barista offerings, they have them.
I will say you can come back over and over and wouldn't get through each offering for a long time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 14, 2023
Came for breakfast.
It's a pretty large restaurant yet filled up at 830a. We came just before and were seated quickly.
The only "bad" thing is they advertised creative concepts for the test kitchen (a separate location).Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
