I thought it was pretty cool that they lit my ramen on fire. The level of spice at a 3 was not spicy but still tasty.
The shumai appetizer was so tiny and not worth ordering in my opinion.
Food was not too bad. I only went here because my normal place was closed in this area. Food came out quick. Definitely a good spot to get some quick lunch.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Liang T.Atlanta, GA22179Dec 8, 2023Updated review
Food has gotten worse with different management and owners. They kept the look, but the flavor, quality, and everything has completely deteriorated. I have been a customer since 2018, and I have been disappointed over and over again.
I had gotten an item that I really really disliked. I normally never sent food back, but I did for this and the server came back telling me tell me that I can't send it back because the manager said so.
It was ridiculous, and inedible. I understand they would like to cut costs because the business does not seem busy, but if food is gross, the least you can do is take it off the check. I wanted to order something else, but I decided against it since I do not want to support this kind of business.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Apr 8, 2019Previous reviewBefore I start this, I'd like to say and clarify a few things:
-The food is very good. Probably one of the best Japanese food restaurants in Atlanta.
-The pricing is great, since you can get a lot of food for a reasonable 15-20$.
-This rating is not really about the food, but geared more towards the service.
To begin, the service is very inconsistent. What I mean by this is that you need good luck to get assigned to a good server who will refill your water regularly and check up on how you're doing.
Normally I go to this place with a few of my friends who like the food on Thursdays after work, and almost every time we go, I get the same two Hispanic servers to wait on us. Occasionally we'll get someone else and there's nothing wrong, but these two servers are frankly, well, terrible.
They're nice when they speak and take your order, but it's annoying to have to raise your hand and wave them down to ask for a refill or the check. They're not even on time with collecting the check, and it feels like I'm waiting even longer for that than the food.
Sometimes, my friends and I also hear loud, obnoxious laughing coming from those two. Obviously, they're pals, which is completely fine, but I expect a quiet, professional environment when I go to a restaurant, which I'm sure others expect as well.
Overall, this place is alright and the food is good, but rather than staying there to eat and tip for nothing, I recommend placing a to go order. - Areesh Z.Atlanta, GA2037Dec 1, 2023
I ordered the chicken katsu curry, and it came out super thick. When I got to the center of the chicken, it was slightly underdone, and quite rubbery.
When I brought it to the attention of the waitress and told her I wouldn't be eating any more of it, she said nothing and just brought me the check.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1765246Aug 1, 2023
Went to this place in Doraville, GA called Yebisuya where I had Omurice for the first time along with a Yebisuya Bun that I also got and tried for the first time.
Omurice: although this wasn't the Omurice I was expecting this was definitely still a very delicious version. Underneath is a bed of fried rice that was just so good with an omelet layered on top of it. They give you 3 sauce choices Spicy Kewpie Mayo, Ketchup, and Tonkatsu sauce. I chose the spicy mayo which by the way wasn't spicy at all I could have ate a ton of that stuff with no problem and those that know me know I don't handle spice well lol.
Yebisuya Bun: is basically a steamed bun with chicory, scallion, and I got it with Tonkatsu pork in it and yall when I tell yall I could have ate 10 of these bad boys. The bun was so soft and the filling was sooooo flavorful like you just have to try it.
Go check these guys out the next time you're in Georgia or if you live in Georgia. 8.9/10

This was my first time visiting since they re-did the menu. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. There was no wait. We were seated immediately and it didn't take long for someone to ask about our drink orders and answer some questions about the menu. The kitchen works fast. My Katsu curry hit the spot in all the right ways. And the serving was huge. This was one of those dishes where my desire to stop eating (because I was full) collided with my desire to keep eating because it tasted so good.
My wife really enjoyed her Omurice. She didn't elaborate because her mouth was full. And the environs are still comfortable. The decorations haven't really changed. The posters all still have fun with ramen, even though ramen is no longer on the menu. But it's a fun thing to laugh at.
So I'm looking forward to my next visit. Holler if you're coming with.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Hello Mick, thanks for your review! We are glad that you enjoyed the food and our restaurant as a whole.
We wanted to let you know that we do still serve ramen as it is and always has been our main offering at Yebisuya. Next time you come by, we'll be more than happy to answer any questions you may have about our ramen section on our menu.
We appreciate your patronage and kind words.

I ate here this past Friday evening with my sorority sisters. There were 8 of us in total and we reserved the private room in the back. All of the servers were super nice and accommodating with each of our orders and kept coming back to make sure we were full. I usually had gone to their next door neighbor but that place doesn't take reservations for larger groups.
I ordered the chili shumai, spam musubi, omurice with spicy mayo, and the fried tempura matcha ice cream. Every dish was tasty and decent but nothing life changing. I wish the omurice had the traditional "reveal" but I liked that the fried rice itself wasn't too greasy. The shumai was good but kind of squishy textured. The matcha ice cream was amazing but I should have taken a second consideration on the fried tempura as I got quite full near the end. I guess overall the spam musubi was the best!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 28, 2023
absolutely love this place! even when there is a lot of people, their service is always speedy and extremely welcoming. I take my parents and friends here all the time and always get a different dish each time.
my friends and I love the chicken don, chicken katsu curry, and literally any sushi that has eel from here! the lunch specials are also a great price, and they have so many different combinations, which is different from most places that offer lunch combos.
definitely recommend this as one of the best restaurants in this plaza.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Katrina T.Lilburn, GA95179896May 18, 2023
Finally yall... finally.
Yall know that I'm a big KBbq and Ramen fan. I've searched far and wide, since my all time favorite ramen spot, closed its doors. My all time favorite, May have met its match!
We happened to stumble across this restaurant, by going to a sushi spot next door. I was nosey, so I went in to check it out. I was elated to see, that they offered sushi as well. Two days later, I went back to try their ramen.
This restaurant is family oriented. Nice atmosphere, and very hip and young.....
They have a good amount of options of ramen available.
I ordered the Tonkatsu, and the Takoyaki. Oh me, oh my! You talk about something special. My Tonkatsu has to be creamy and rich. I can't stand a thin Tonkatsu. The broth has to coat the noodles, just right. This Tonkatsu, almost did that. It was rich, creamy, flavorful, and fragrant.
The Takoyaki was amazing! So fresh yall, so fresh. It was melt in my mouth.
I have been 4 times, since the first time I went. Unfortunately, they don't offer sushi anymore (as of May 2.) So, I did not get to try it.
I went last night (May 17th.) I was kinda disappointed in the Tonkatsu, because it was a bit on the salty side. That says a lot, because I always have to add a razzle dazzle of salt to my ramen. This time I didn't. It made me feel parched.
This will be my new go to ramen spot. I think it may be one of my top 3.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Apr 13, 2023
Off to a slow start. Ordered something off the menu - as a frost timer I try and tried lightly before I indulge. Ordered the caterpillar roll. The roll that was delivered was missing items... the toppings. Not sure how that happened. But I received the order with a smile. Because of the mistake the roll was comped :-) the have some interesting combinations on the menu at a fair price under the sushi platter section on the menu. What I did find helpful was the menu layout is easy to follow. The udon looks tempting and the description of the "signature broth" was a game changer. I cannot wait to come back and give them another try. There is plenty of parking but remember anticipate a wait since this plaza is full of restaurants and most are crowded during certain hours
