Wilke's 14 Bones Barbeque

First time for dinner. You walk in the door and it smells amazing and the staff are very nice. This is a restaurant that has a bar in it. Enough choices for beverages because that's not really why we are here. We had 1/2 racks and sides of collard greens, rice & beans, fried corn on the cob, coleslaw, and green beans. Lots of food and all very very good. It all came with a toast which was good but we left the majority of the bread to focus on the rest. We thought the service was good, background music was good and the prices weren't out of line. We will definitely come back.

Ate here on several occasions while working in VB and never had a bad meal. Lunch or dinner, always high quality BBQ and top-notch service. Have had a couple sandwiches and a full meal, and always a great experience. Can highly recommend the Hawg Attack sandwich, the sausage in top really makes this stand out. Sauces are good, with a hot version available. My only complaint is that I was expecting a little more spice and flavor from the red beans & rice, which turned out to be rather boring.

First impression ( when I placed my order with young very inexperienced person ) was awful . Made us feel like they had better things to do than helping us pick the appropriate entree ... thumbs down ! but consider the age .

Brought food home . The brisket entree contained 95 % fat ! Extremely disappointed ! Felt like who ever prepared my entree made sure he placed all the fatty pieces in my order .

Full entree pulled chicken was cooked in some kind of stew . Awful tasting ! Not what I had expected , thumbs down !

The food was average. I had the half rack of ribs, baked potato and Mac n cheese. The baked potato was uncooked hard. The BBQ. Sauce was excellent. The Mac n cheese was good. The ribs were cooked well except they still had the silver skin on them. They were just average.

It's been two years since we been here. Good service and good food. Got St. Louis ribs instead of baby back cooked perfect The spicy bbq sauce is very good. We also had pulled pork which was very good Will definitely be back

Heard this place was good , not the case waiter Steve gave us a rude,abrupt, welcome.Had to ask for a sharp told me to share my girls utensi.asked for three lemons got one, burnt fatty ribs,soggy broccoli, add the co!d beans, need I say more. If your hungry and starving chilis is only 2 blocks south
PS.. The table was clean, floor was not. Sign says smoking no joking I think the staff was toking.

Not bad. The food is good. Best rice and beans I've tasted from an American restaurant. The mac and cheese was way too salty, but it's white mac and cheese which is different and personally better. The sweet tea was perfect, not too sweet. The meat looked good and most said it was good. We had this catered to us and it was enough for everyone.

Last couple times I did a call in order to be picked up barbecue ribs were dry & barley any meat on the bones & rice was a little crunchy so I won't be going back for a while.

I've been going here almost 30 years since it was Bonos. They just stole the Bonos idea, raised the prices, lowered the portions and use sysco foods. I order food every friday and it's just turned to hell. It's trash. The owner spends more time doing business meetings.

We enjoyed our first visit to Wilke's 14 Bones. The service was prompt & friendly, the menu offered a lot of choices and the food was very good. We especially enjoyed the BBQ sauce options at the table and we ate the dessert so fast we forgot to snap a photo!
