Giving a one star because well I can't go any lower.

I waited a week for my medication to be filled. After a week I reached out to my doctor to see what the hold up was. The doctor reached out to Walgreens and was informed there was an error they were trying to fill a 3 month instead of a 1 month. So my insurance was denying it. Pharmacist said they were sorry to the doctor. He then said he would put a rush on it and fill it asap. They would call me when it was ready.

I waited another week and it keeps saying in progress. So I call Walgreens myself this time. After waiting on hold for 32 mins. A woman answers the phone. She checks on it says hold on. Puts me on hold for another 8 mins. Comes back informs me it has not been ordered yet. That she's not sure why the computer didn't order it. That she will have them manually order it today. I said so when they told my doctor it was getting rushed and they already had it they lied? It was not even ordered yet? She starts back tracking saying that's not what she said and it's been orders but has not come in. That no one in the area has it in stock. She was very rude. I asked to speak to the Pharmacist.

He got on the phone with an attitude from the start. Telling me there are other people out there that are waiting on meds that they really need. That this was not his problem the warehouse picks what they send him. That he will get to it when he does and if he does.

Needless to say after getting my meds filled at Walgreens for the last 15+ years I will never go back.

My RX was called into Walmart by my doctor after I reached out to them. Filled and ready for pick up in less then 24 hours. Also for the exact same price. They were nice. Checked with me before I left to make sure I knew what I needed to know about my med and to make sure I was not on any other meds that was not on there file.

Small by helpful pharmacy! They know people by name, and helpful with medication side effects and which meds should NOT be taken together

I have loved Walgreens. Been a customer for 11 years to this pharmacy. In the last 3 years, service has slipped, but this year it has finally gotten shamefully bad. My last 3 visits? 1- submitt a medication with 3 refills- tech put it in with 0 refills and I had to fight to get them to locate the original written prescription to prove it was 3 refills. (On a plus, the lady did finally find the script and corrected it and I was very grateful to her)
visit 2- needed a medication to fight infection- medication was not n stock for 7 days. Had the get sicker before I could get my medicine .
Last visit? TODAY- cant Breathe- bronchitis! fun times!!!! prescription submitted 6+ hours ago and received at that time. Hear nothing, go to pharmacy 6+ hours later for very common med prescription and it wasn't even started yet. I am told they were busy (no customers, store was empty, had 6+ hours to fill script that their app said would be filled 5 hours ago) and understaffed so I had to wait another 30 minutes. Tech was frustrated and rude, though so was I, so I can't blame her only.
11+ years of customer loyalty and a ton of visits for meds
- I just transferred to rite aid because this was Walgreens last chance and they blew it big. If you want to wait countless hours, have your scripts entered incorrectly, or have them not have very commons meds in stock- please go here! Oh, and drive through is only open randomly, it's kinda like a surprise- drive up and maybe it will be open, but probably not.
Badly done Walgreens Chambersburg! You used to be awesome, I used to recommend you to everyone. Wtf happened?????? And don't blame Covid- other pharmacies locally don't have your issues.

Good and standard deployment of Walgreens here. I needed two things, I was able to find them quickly and get what I needed. And two things that I did not need. Oops.

Consistently good service. You know you come to much when the pharmacist recognizes you by name. Pharmacist Chris is good.

Hardly anyone in the store?!?! What?!?! I guess walgreens isn't as popular in PA as it is in Sweet Home Chicago.

Go. Fast service. In and out. They are far nicer than the walgreens back home. Plus the same rewards! Woot woot!!

I go here on occasion for specific vitamins and to look at clearance items. I've always been a fan of Walgreens for some reason.

The Chambersburg Walgreens is often kind of empty. Makes for a nice shopping experience! It's a drug store, so regular items are going to be pricey compared to other stores. However, they do run a few good sales from time to time, and keep an eye out for orange price stickers. That means clearance and can mean deep discounts! Check the back ends of the first couple of aisles in the store (near cosmetics and body care). They often have a mish-mosh of clearance items.

I've never used the actual pharmacy, but have observed people using it. The staff seem helpful and knowledgeable. They've come out from behind the counter to help someone find a vitamin before. They greet people who approach the pharmacy promptly, too.

Walgreens has an excellent selection of supplements.

Check-out is usually uneventful. Staff is friendly.

The store is well-lit and well-stocked. Parking is great here. It can be a little tricky to get in and out, depending on which way you're coming from. I recommend turning at the light right near it (by Taco Bell) for easier access. You can come around the back that way. Also easier to leave that way.
