Jerry Springers work here... During COVID, one weirdo cashier blew his breath in my face and said, "Haha... Now you have COVID!" When I complained to the Assistant Manager, she told me to stand back, so that she wouldn't get the COVID that her cashier just gave. Total disrespectful morons here...

Then, I thought I would try my luck with the General Manager of the store, but he was a young 24-year-old douchebag. Completely clueless! With all of the hospitals and biotech companies in the area, you would think that they would hire some people who are capable of being respectful toward an honorable clientele. Instead, they all go elsewhere, because they feel that this place provides the first job out of jail.

Vons has become such a Jerry Springer brand in San Diego. It used to be the go to grocery store for service, selection, & value. Now, your life may be in danger walking into or out of a Vons.

Not sure if Troy was just having a bad day, but went in to grab some meatloaf at the Deli last week and had a shocking experience. Before taking my order, he told a man and his partner that they should go to a Hillcrest location next time and, after giving me my items, mumbled "white piece of sh*t" under his breath. Made everyone very uncomfortable.

It's not Ralph's which is my favorite grocery store.
Von's has the highest prices and loads of empty shelves. I went to the small Vons on Genesee. It's the only one who has nice people working there.
I was coupon shopping and there were only two things I needed and left!
You can blame Albertson's for the Safeway (Vons) takeover. Pissed off employees having no management to guide them.
I was a huge Safeway fan for decades, I was employed at their corporate office, but Albertson's swooped in and 3000 people lost their jobs in Northern California.

Shop at Ralph's !!!!!! Sign up for coupons and they send them in the mail to you. They are based on what you purchase.

First off love this store everyone in there is very friendly love it. Today I bought an individual veggie tray when I got to work I opened and noticed it smelled horrible. I looked at the expiration date and it expired on Oct 10,2023. I called and spoke to a lovely woman named Jessica. She was very helpful im going to be bringing it back on my break from work. I just don't want to get sick and I don't want anyone else to get sick. So thank you Jessica for working with me.

I bought a Deli Seafood Garden Salad. The lettuce was rusty, and vegetables were spoiled. It was disgusting. Vons does the limbo, and answers the question, How low can you go?

I love this Vons. It's smaller so it's perfect for this little community. It has just what you need. They keep it always stocked well. Things have prices slashed to get rid of over stock regularly. I've used the deli for catering for my work. They always came thru on time and great quality! Platters serving 100 people. The employees are very friendly! Always asked if you found what you were looking for? Angela always would go out of her way to wave and say hi honey! Years of shopping you start remembering each others faces. I also like Paul the supervisor. He is good at his job. Always makes sure the lines keep moving. He always steps in to make sure things are right on prices. Quick to fix any issues. I have also seen him be very sympathetic, caring, and passionate towards customers and not so lucky community members. Even the stocking guy is really helpful late at night. I love the Vons app to get my savings!

Worst Vons I've ever been to no lie. The employees are incompetent and rude, everyone seems to hate their life. In deep need of customer service training. The Hot food and cold looked horrible to eat too Won't go back here definitely going to Ralph's or Sprouts from now on.

Drove all the way to this location because they're supposed to be open until midnight, its 10:30pm and they're closed. Lame.

This VONS is in desperate need of an upgrade. The isles are so narrow and it feels very cramped and unclean. There is also not a great selection or much variety like at other VONS stores. No self checkout. It's like VONS had forgotten this store exists.

Christina left her register to help me in the Floral department 5 minutes before my girlfriends birthday. She was super helpful and helped me design my own bouquet. SHE DESERVES A RAISE. I've never been treated so well at any Vons store.
