I downloaded Yelp's app so I could write this review. This Von's is beautiful, clean, and very well stocked! A+++++ ! My favorite is you are greeted by a mountain of colorful flowers from the Floral Dept as you walk in the door on the left side of the front of the store. It is a pleasure to shop here.

I came here around 10 pm because I needed a few things for the night and they had everything I needed. The employees were nice and knew the isles of what I needed. There was a man in the bakery area who was particularly kind!

This is the WORST LOCATION EVER ! Understaffed because they treat the employees like slaves , the store manager is very rude and disrespectful he has no respect for WOMEN I wish this location close they need better management and better staff ! If you wanna be stalked by your items , treated unfairly and disrespected go to this location! Poor management and when I asked for who to make a complaint to the "manager " gave me the wrong number wow really PROFESSIONAL

As suggested by Dawn's automated message below, I contacted Albertsons to file a complaint. Unfortunately, I was told someone would contact me, and I am still waiting for someone to contact me. It's disappointing to see this establishment double down on its behavior and send an automated response to such a serious issue.
More importantly, why have me call and file a complaint rather than contact me? But, then, even when I followed the process, the company still had zero follow-through and has repeatedly shown to be careless. I truly recommend people stop shopping here.
Albertsons has made it clear that it couldn't care less about its shoppers' safety and the concerns of surrounding citizens. Vons will not see another dollar from me, and I will make sure I advocate to everyone around me to prioritize their safety and opt for more responsible spaces where owners at least care about having a secure environment, and in the event that there is any misunderstandings, they care enough to reach out and talk things through.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Apr 20, 2023Previous reviewWhile on the checkout line, a woman was accosted and sexually harrased at this grocery store a few weeks ago. The clerk didn't call security or do anything, instead they proceeded to keep checking out the patrons and ignored the safety of the customers, both the one being harassed and the others in the store.
Security was non-responsive and overall the man ended up following the customer to her car where she was defenseless. Luckily she got away in the distress of the moment. Her partner later came to this establishment to file a report, as the victim is still in utter shock and distress, and a low-level employee was tasked with "handling" the issue. Upon following up with the grocer a few weeks later as there was no response to the complaint, he learned that the incident report had been tossed. This is extremely disturbing and alarming.
As a consumer, I'm never returning to this store and will be sharing this message in the neihgborhood and every where possible as a cautionary tale of the dangers associated with shopping here. I am not the woman this happened to but am acquainted with her and I'm so sad to learn that shopping at Vons is an unsafe experience where one wrong interaction has the potential to turn fatal, and in such event, the supermarket's response is to disregard the experience and act as if it never happened. No security intervention, no ensuring a safe space to shop, nothing.
As a woman, it's already difficult to navigate harassment in the street, it's so scary to think that a brand this big would stand by and do nothing for the neighbors that support this business. Absolutely disgusting. The message here is that vulnerable people hoping to shop here shouldn't. If you have children and vulnerable family members, this isn't a place where they can shop safely. This is surely the worst grocery store in the neighborhood. The place is in disarray constantly. Prices? You may as well go to Whole Foods. At least at Whole Foods you are getting high quality items for the same prices AND you don't have to self check out. Came by yesterday just because we needed just a couple things...not ONE shopping cart near the entrance because they are so understaffed and LAZY to send their employees out to the parking lot to collect the carts. Seriously....for the prices they charge, you should not have to do their job for them.

DISTRICT MANAGERS TAKE NOTICE. WE ARE FED UP!
1. The electric carts for handicapped people are constantly stolen. There should be at least 2 of them, and an employee should escort the handicapped person to their cars to help load their groceries, and then drive the cart back to the store to prevent theft. I am sick of excuses. Put a stronger locking device to prevent the cart from leaving the parking lot.
2. Discounted items are charged at full price if you use the self check out. There are no signs stating this, and it is ILLEGAL.
3. The deli dept. staff are overworked and understaffed. They cannot deal with slicing, packing food, and making sandwiches all at the same time.
4. Both the deli and meat departments need desk bells to alert employees that customers are waiting, so we don't have to call out to them all the time.
5. Keep the pets out of the store. Have the security people or employees tell people to leave their dogs, birds, and snakes at home. It isn't a petting zoo.
6. Those loud endless intercom announcements are jarring and annoying. It makes the entire shopping experience uncomfortable.
7. The debit card machines are mounted incorrectly. They are meant to be able to be tilted at different angles, and right now they are pointed to the ceiling, where the glare prevents the customers from reading them. They need to be moved back approx. 1.5" in order to access them correctly.
8. The area outside of the store needs to be steam cleaned regularly. And the parking lot needs to be cleaned more often, and the carts need to be placed into the racks.
9. Why are solicitors allowed to harass customers as they enter and leave the store?
10. Regarding your solution to lock up entire rows of products. If a customer decides at the last minute that they want the cashier to have a cabinet opened, the entire line has to wait. Post signs that the customer has to have their items with them before getting to the cashier.
Lastly, the employees - all of them - are working hard through difficult circumstances. The FAULT is with the District Managers, and the Corporate Office. Sort it out - all of it. We don't want lip service, and we deserve better.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

I love the Bakery and Deli service I received at Vons on Pico and Fairfax. D and Danny are The Best . I called them the dynamic Duo's. And Martha she's is just a sweetheart. As we all know planning a funeral it's not only challenging to the heart but it can be devastating to the pocketbook. D The decorator is not only talented but has extraordinary customer service skills. His caring Spirit radiates through his personality. Danny and D took the time out to go over cake selections, decorative ideals and pricing that fit into my budget. Thanks You. I appreciate it, Sherri

Oct 28, 2019Previous reviewI went to the Deli Dept. Where there was two workers Lisa and Pete. They were both assisting customers and I would be the next one. Another man and his family came up after me. When Lisa finished serving her customers. She asked whose next? I said me. I told her what I wanted, she than started speaking with Pete and his customer and told Pete I got this and took over. I than asked Pete could he assist me. He politely said "no, I'm sorry I can't. Than helped the family that was waiting. What just happened and why

this is specifically for the Vons on pico and Fairfax. An older African-American cash register employee decided to tell off my 11-year-old daughter today because she didn't know how to put the phone number into the machine as I was having them get alcohol out of the locked cabinet I've never been spoken to so horribly in my life when I came back and said she's only 11. Please give her a break. I'm not sure where the customer service has gone, but this place is a mess. They have lost my business! She literally lectured us as the entire line was waiting. I was appalled. management needs to hire better because you will lose business.
