I really have nothing to say, but this isn't a store! It's a Stargate that takes you to Italy from Tysons Corner and gets you the best Gelato ever! This is the best Gelato in the DMV AREA!! Mango is my favorite!!
Small store, so you have to take your Gelato and walk at the mall!
I really wish they could have open another location somewhere else in the DMV , Café style with seating area because I know they will be amazing!
I've tried the espresso, and it was amazing. My relatives said the chocolate is great, but I haven't tried yet any of the espresso drinks or afogato !
I have to mention that the gentleman who made my Gelato today was an expert and made this visit the best by far! He made the scoops the proper way they do in Italy so you can hold the cone without making a disaster over your clothes!
Do yourself a favor and go get your Gelato! Don't forget to sign up for their VIP card, and don't forget to pray for me!Helpful 16Thanks 1Love this 14Oh no 0Nov 29, 2023Previous reviewIt's a must try!
First of all, it's a famous brand from Italy. began back in 1878 when Silviano Venchi, a young 20-year-old man, spent all his savings on two bronze cauldrons and started experimenting with chocolate in a small shop on via degli Artisti in the neighbourhood of Vanchiglia, Turin! They finally came to Tysons 2 or 3 years ago!
They have amazing chocolate, good Espresso ,and one of the best Gelato you will ever eat! I'm on a strict diet, and I don't eat sugar, but I made an exception and rewarded myself with Venchi ! I got the cone and had them fill it with molten chocolate! Oh my goodness! I've never admired a cone taste like I did with this one, and the molten chocolate was from heaven!
I got mango, chocolate and Stracciatella! I can't describe it enough!
Next time, I want to try their Espresso drinks made with ice cream and Nutella.
The service is very friendly. They will help you sample and make decisions!
The store is very small and it is made so you get your ice cream and go sit anywhere at the mall or walk. There isn't much ambiance to talk about, but the display and chocolate around make it cozy and fun!
In the future, I'd love to see more locations and tables to sit down and my dream if they open by the water in DC or Old Town Alexandria! - Mar 6, 2024
The most melt in your mouth and soothing Gelato! I have had some pretty wonderful Gelato here in the the U.S. but as far as texture goes was the best.
They had a lot of different flavors to choose from, so thank you for that. The service was not great, and they pretty much are snobby especially if they think you aren't buying anything.
On the weekends the lines are ridiculously long, passing the superdry...I work in Tyson's, so i told myself i would stop by when they have no lines on a weekday. Anywho i like that there is a chocolate vs. Gelato line, that way you're in and out if purchasing chocolate. Gelato takes forever and i was the only customer. Although the options were great, the actual cost versus product ratio was absurd. I paid $11 for two tiny scoops on a tiny cone dipped with nuts... they didn't even explain i could do that until i was done ordering...and I had to ask about it from the displays i saw. Considering how much you're paying for artesanal Gelato their customer services needs an upgrade. Hate serving Gelato and you suck at it? I would consider a new job... it's supposed to be a happy place and time when people come to grab some dessert. I got strawberry and Pistachio combined...don't clock it until you try it!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dec 29, 2023
ONLY reason my review is 4 stars and not 5 is due to the price - although maybe not entirely abnormal, $20 for 2 gelatos!
However - it was absolutely delicious and perfect, lol. There are tons of options, it all feels and tastes super fresh, and the service we received from the staff was wonderful.
The ambiance of the store is also so cute, and a wonderful treat while you're shopping in the mall or simply to come in and grab gelato.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 18, 2024
Venchi is the best gelato in Virginia. The shop is conveniently located inside Tyson's corner mall Infront of Macys. I used to see this store passing by always full of people and used to think I'll try their Icecream/gelato one day. Last month in March it was my first time and let me tell you this there is no stopping after that. My favorite flavor is pistachio gelato here. I have not tried anything else past gelato but I'm planning on in my next trip. All the staff here is very professional and nice too and the atmosphere is just very kool.
I highly recommend Venchi for your sweet cravings.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 4, 2023
Came here to get some gelato with friends and the line was pretty long. I figured it must be pretty good given the line and I had time to spare so I waited.
I got a regular cup which comes with two flavors, so I chose caramel and stracciatella. I've really been on a chocolate kick lately so I wasn't interested in the fruity flavors. I got the piece of dark chocolate on top to seal the deal. Of course you can sample the different flavors to see what you like best.
I thoroughly enjoyed my gelato as it tasted very rich and not overly sugary. The added piece of dark chocolate really didn't much for me and I actually could've gone without. Overall, they're definitely serving quality gelato here and it's worth the wait.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - 364435468Jan 2, 2024
My go to spot for dessert in the mall. Decadent, delicious, and devilish, Venchi will make you come back for more. I had the hazelnut and chocolate and I must say it is a rich combo. Right in the corner, the place tempts you with the sweet aroma that is hard to resists. It's okay to give in. I'm not judging

Amazing chocolate run by truly caring employees. We worked with Charles, who is a veritable expert in all things Venchi chocolate, and was extremely kind and thoughtful. Will be back for the chocolate and the experience.

I waited until I had been twice before posting this review to see if my experience the first time was a one off or a bug in the system. Turns out that this is a feature, not a bug and not a good one either. For all my diary free friends, the good: the dairy free gelato is really good. The bad, the flavor I wanted to eat both times was cross contaminated because they placed it between dairy FULL gelato and seemed perturbed that I would ask them to clear the remains of other flavors that had clearly dropped in the almond.
The service is not customer oriented. You pay up front (it's not cheap) and then you tell someone else what you want again. Both times the person scooping seemed put out that I had explained that I had a dairy allergy and asked that they remove the obvious containment from the almond. Both times they did. The first time it elicited an audible sigh.
The first time my husband and I got one napkin each, though the second time we did get a few more. The d/f almond gelato is amazing and my husband loved the d/f chocolate and full moo juice vanilla (though it was fascinating that when they mixed the flavors there was definitely cross contamination of the paddles.)
No where to sit in the tiny shop (or in the mall nearby.) Really expensive for the amount you get. But a delicious treat once in a while.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 2665601778Dec 29, 2023
Came to try their hot chocolate after hearing rave reviews and it did not disappoint! The hazelnut hot chocolate was thick and creamy and the perfect consistency. I've had their gelato before in their New York City locations but just had their hot chocolate in Tyson's. The employees were really friendly and I got lucky walking in when there wasn't a line. The small hot chocolate came to around $9 which is expensive for the size but still some of the best hot chocolate I've had so far.

My friend told me about this place and every single time I walk by it there's a huge line around the corner. I always thought 'worth it for gelato?'
It was a Tuesday so there was no line so I decided to check it out. I tried the tiramisu, and a biscoff flavor which the lady recommended. I also just had to try mango because I've been on a mango kick recently!
I don't even have words to describe the mango gelato. My eyes rolled back and I sighed 'omg' this is too good to be true. It tasted like Italy in a cup!
So of course I had to get it with the chocolate cookie on the bottom and the cookie on the top. The inside of this place is the definition of luxurious and not your typical ice cream shop!
I will say it is a bit pricier for what you're getting. For a baby scoop it ended up being about $10. But honestly, the lines and the popularity of this place checks out because it was worth it!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
