Any chance this place will let me get soymilk in my own bottle? Trying to minimize plastic waste, and I love their soymilk!

I think they did before but not with Covid19 arrival

This is a no dine-in local spot. My only small complaint is I wished it was open M-W but they're only open Thursday to Sundays. I don't fault them though.
I love their affordable tofu fa. $5.75 for a large set and it feels healthy and filling.
Parking can get difficult but I can find parking along side streets. They charge a small fee for credit card transactions so bring cash!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 25, 2023
Visited this place on a Saturday morning and there was no line. Probably due to the Thanksgiving holiday and Black Friday happening the days prior.
I ordered the pandan milk and was surprised they had an unsweetened version, yes please! It is tasty and the soymilk is nice and thick.
I also got their pandan tofu pudding with ginger syrup and coconut. They only had the warm one and for a cold day, it was so comforting. It wasn't overly sweet. The coconut and the ginger enhanced the pandan flavor.
Minus a star for the unfriendly attitude.Helpful 17Thanks 3Love this 10Oh no 0 - Jul 28, 2023
My guilty pleasure when I'm in the area. Cash only place and serves fresh hot tofu pudding! Brings me back to country bumpkin childhood days in China where it was a luxury to buy tofu pudding afterschool from a cart in a plastic bag lol. This place has it pre-packed with syrup packaged and ready to go.
I only found this location because I saw the Tofu sign while driving by. It's one of those locals only known spots that is very unassuming from the outside and inside. So I would definitely recommend buying some tofu pudding and grabbing a big boba straw and drinking that sucker when it's warm enough to consume cause it comes out hot!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Jun 2, 2023
My family has been picking up fresh pack and fried tofu, soy milk, tofu pudding dessert (regular, pandan), and all the other goodies since I was in elementary school. One of my favorite childhood memories was walking to V P Tofu with my mom once a week. We keep coming back because of the great quality!
One of my favorites has to be the fried tofu with the Woodear mushrooms and noodles. You can eat them plain or in sauce.
Go early!! They made all of their tofu and soy products fresh daily and run out of certain items towards the end of the day.
Cash only. Quick and efficient.
They have a small parking lot that's shared with a laundromat.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 3, 2023
I wish this place accepts credit card, because the tofu is amazing! Especially the 'intestines' tofu. It's crispy but soft and it's just a joy to eat. If you're getting hotpot or even stirfry, adding this into the dish will definitely make you dance the dance of the tofu people.

VP Tofu is my go to for all things soy. They sell a variety of soy milk, deep fried tofu, tofu skin, tofu pudding, etc.
When you buy soy milk here, it's almost always hot. As in hot because it's freshly made. They sell regular, pandan, and sesame soy milk (sweetened/unsweetened).
The deep fried tofu usually sells out before 10a. My favorite is the deep fried lemon grass tofu, deep fried tofu pockets, and deep fried soft tofu. All solid and delicious choices.
The tofu pudding (dofu fa) is also very good. I just tried the pandan flavor (weekends only), and it's delicious.
It's best to come before 8a because they always run out of the popular items. And don't forget to bring cash. Expect lines on the weekends and a 15 min wait for fried tofu items because they're made to order. Bring your mask (required inside) and be patient. Good things take time!
The very nice lady at the cashier is almost always there and is so helpful if you have questions. This is a no frills shop with lots of locals as regular customers. Prices have gone up quite a bit but it's still worth it imho.
Parking in front is often busy but I've never had trouble getting a stall.

VP Tofu takes social distancing seriously! No more than 2 customers in the store at any given time. Everyone else must wait outside. It's a small shop so I'm glad they are enforcing strict rules and keeping their staff and customers safe.
Their tofu off products are still fresh, delicious and relatively inexpensive. My new favorites are the deep fried tofu pockets (I love tofu skin) and deep fried soft tofu. I love their soy milk too!
This is a small family owned shop and I'm glad they're still doing good business and open during these tough times. Yes, sometimes the son can be cranky and loses his cool. But overall I find him to be quick and efficient.
The small parking lot fills up so you may need to wait for a spot if you come when it's busy. But I find a little patience goes a long way and I always get a parking spot.
This is a solid little tofu shop that sells really yummy tofu products. I'll definitely be back!

While VP Tofu isn't quite the same, I do appreciate getting fresh tofu, soft tofu pudding, soymilk, & fried tofu (lemongrass). Prices are reasonable, service is efficient, and tofu is freshly made.

I always come here to stock up for my soy milk and fresh tofu.
I grew up with soybeans, so tofu and soy milk are lyfe! This little gem in Monterey Park always delivers the freshest tofu and soy milk in town.
I recommend to come here as early as possible because their hot soybean pudding is so good, and they only have it on Saturday and Sunday.
Parking is available in their small Plaza and it's located next to coin laundry and across CVS.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0
