Smallest bowl (if you could even call it that? It was more like a plate with high sides) of pho for $18 ever. There's also an automatic 15% service charge that wasn't disclosed, so be cognizant of that when you decide how much to tip.
Quantity and cost aside. The taste was not great either.... they put pickled vegetables in the Pho for some reason which just made the whole broth sour since there was so little to begin with.
I would not recommend getting pho here. Subpar taste and definitely not worth the price. As for their other menu items, I have not tried yet.Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1 - Feb 25, 2023Updated review
So good and we LOVE A GOOD VEGAN OPTION! I need to eat Vietnamese food more often. This really reminded me of that. The broken rice was so delicious, and my boyfriend liked his vegan tofu noodles a lot. The flavors were all so nuanced. I also appreciate that with takeout, they give you hoisin and sriracha.

I thought the flavors were good except when it came to the shrimp, which was just a little bit bland. If I go back and decide I want to spend the money again, I won't get the shrimp.

Came here by accident and saw a nice vibe outside. Amazing appetizers and my daughter enjoyed delicious noodles and chicken.

Very torn, room for improvement!
Ordered the lemon grass beef stew noodle soup. Couple significant shortcomings in my opinion.
1) no discernable "lemon grass" flavor. a bit disappointing since as the name would imply, I was hoping for that nice citrus-herby-beefy experience. The beef was cooked well and tender, but it's simply just a beef stew in my humble opinion.
2) the portion size was Very small. Near smaller than a small-size at normal pho places. Plus, the dish is $22 for crying out loud. Don't get me wrong, I'm Not asking for more meat, I just want more rice noodles - one of the cheapest things in the dish - and to not leave hungry still. (see pic, noodles are hidden to one side). It felt like the dish was gone in a few large bites and not even 5 minutes. (I'm not a fat guy by any means either)
I kindly mentioned my thoughts to the shift manager, who was a very nice and understanding lady. She explained that the seasoning base for the beef stew has lemon grass, though came to understand my somewhat disappointment. She also recognized that no one should leave still hungry and graciously offered to make something else like spring rolls to-go, but I felt bad and didn't want to take advantage. The noodle soup did taste good, just so small and not quite as advertised, but that's OK, not the end of the world. In the end she was kind enough to comp the dish, to which I returned the favor and tipped the staff for their hard work.
other side observations (not getting on anyone's back)...
-it's very clear that they've hired new people as kitchen and wait staff. With a front row view, the gentleman making spring rolls took many minutes to roll a spring roll, as if he hadn't ever before. So word of caution if your spring rolls take a bit long, he's getting the hang of it.
-also the young girl waitress seemed very green and didn't provide a spoon for my soup - had to ask for it, then a minute later another table also had to ask for a spoon for their soup. And I thought it was funny, but she also gave me two different chopsticks. Doesnt bother me one bit, but never really seen that before either. =)
-nice that they reportedly use USDA Prime brisket, however the increased ingredient costs for prime may not be worth while.. leading to a $22 bowl. I only wonder since the beef stew is braised for so long that the fat renders out anyways. Truthfully the only indication was the oily/greasy broth (see pic), which i dont mind, but other than that it's not clear what the prime grade provides to the final dish when this satisfies the normal expectation for beef stew you get at all viet/chinese places.
Overall, they're on their way. Fun decor inside with potential if relatively small things get addressed.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2 - Emily M.Miami, FL107243Mar 26, 2023
Absolutely love this place!
The parking is pretty limited since it is in a plaza with a couple other establishments. Other than that it's pretty much street parking around the plaza and on the block over.
You are greeted by some of the employees and then order in an ipad and the food is later brought over to you. The service from all the employees was excellent and very helpful.
The ambiance is absolutely gorgeous. The decor is really stunning to look at and although they don't have a lot of seating inside, outside they have some tables.
The food was sooooo fresh and just delicious. I tried some shrimp spring rolls that were to die for. si tried a shrimp banh mi that was perfect. The right size and the right flavor. The papaya salad was so refreshing and a wonderful compliment to everything.
All in all, incredible experience, delicious food and amazing atmosphere. Will definitely be returning.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jul 3, 2021
Was craving Vietnamese food while in Miami but there were nothing close to us (Miami Beach) that was open or with good rating. They need to open a bombass Vietnamese restaurant in Miami Beach. So we decided to take a $50 Uber ride to this restaurant across the bridge since it had good reviews.
This place is probably located in not a safe area because our Uber guy told us don't wander around and just stay in front of the restaurant until our ride get here coming back. So keep that in mind. The restaurant was small. Maybe enough seats for 5 parties. It had a really pink interior design like princess style. You order at the counter first and then they bring you the the food. They don't have a lot of selections but there is a create your own bowl thing too.
Was really craving pho but the photo did not look like it would be the pho I would like so decided to go for the Hanoian pork noodles. It took a while for the dishes to come out. At one point they said they were out of fish sauce and had to make more so it delayed the orders ahead as well. But a viet restaurant running out of fish sauce at 1pm? That's not good. The party who came in after us also got their food first which was also weird. Didn't like that.
Pork noodles: the portion was pretty big for $15-$16. There was a lot of meat in that bowl. But it was a little salty. I got tired of eating it at the end. I think I might have enjoyed it more with rice. And to pour it with fish sauce into my noodles instead of the meat sauce. I didn't finish the dish and there were some leftover meat since it was too salty and not to my tastebuds liking. But it was average overall.
Their other dishes were pretty pricey to be honest. $9 for 2 small spring rolls? Yea no. Never experienced that in my life. It was the smallest spring rolls I've ever seen. But I didn't get that. My friend got the Vietnamese chicken slaw and bbq park rice paper rolls that she said was good. I didn't try it but she's picky so probably ok.
The drinks. I recommended to go get a drink after. Because $3 for a can of soy milk that cost $12 for a box of 24 is outrages. Yes, it is restaurant but no that's overpriced. Almost most expensive I've ever seen. Finally, none of us got the banh mi here but for $10-12 a banh mi? There better be some gold in there.
I'm Vietnamese so I've had a fair share of Vietnamese food and this is my own personal opinion of course. Definitely was not worth the $50 Uber ride there and then another back to our hotel. I could have settled for ramen closer to where we were. I think this place is Vietnamese owned since there were picture albums of their family maybe on the table? I'm not from Miami so I don't know what the cost of living is to make the price like this but in Cali, it's pretty cheap food in little Saigon and living expenses Over there is expensive.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Huy N.West Covina, CA29109Aug 6, 2022
Really bad service. I expected to have a great service becuase it was a nice place.
They forgot my utensil in my tray; I asked for it and a lady point me out at the corner to get it by myself.
Auto charge 15% SC, but thet did nothing in service.
I order a bowl of Pho and I think it doesn't worth $18. The broth taste is okay, but it's not quite hot. In addition, my gf cannot finish her rice because it's nasty. The bbq is overcook, it's dark as carbon.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 1 - 2124621992Dec 8, 2022
They aren't even open anymore. I drove here super excited with friends and they are closed. The food is super good but the fact that they did not update their information is super frustrating.

Tran an is located inside the Mia Market in the centre of the Design district. A super cool concept, of plenty of food vendors all under the same roof. Come with your friends, grab a table and then choose where to eat from under the same roof. I chose from Tran an, which offers Vietnamese street food. I had the protein of cooked spiced prawns with their Vermicelli noodles which includes Cucumber, carrot slaw, and fresh herbs. Decent dish for decent prices.
