I have stayed at several Marriott hotels throughout the country as well as internationally. Experiences have always been good, if not great. However, this place was well below my expectations. We stayed for a total of 4 days.
Upon checking in, the front desk says there's no early check-ins, the entire place is completely booked and we'll have to return later.
The smells are terrible. The hallway near the lobby toilets and elevator in the main building smell like sewage and rancid mold. Luckily after a couple of days, they cleaned it but it became the smell of cleaning solution masking the actual problem.
The room itself smelled like cigarettes. The room came equipped with a fridge and freezer, sink, kitchenette, and counter space which was nice. Space was ample. Free coffee and hot water downstairs was appreciated.
We selected yes to housekeeping on the Marriott app, but our room was never serviced while we were there. The trash piled up so we took out the trash ourselves and left it in front of the door. The trash sat there and was never taken out, so my husband took it out himself and dumped it in the trash in the lobby. Apparently you need to tell the front desk a day in advance if you want the room serviced. Also, they said housekeeping "is not guaranteed" which is absurd. I could understand for a 1-2 night stay but 4+ days without guaranteed service is a bit ridiculous.
Our shower knob was incorrectly installed. The knob rotates counter clockwise and was lukewarm on the highest setting. I took a 40 minute shower waiting for the water to heat up and it never got hot. Oddly enough, if you rotate it clockwise, it was SCORCHING HOT.
The AC unit leaked water onto the carpet leaving wet spots near the bed that I stepped on each time I walked to the bed.
We stayed because my husband was competing in a bodybuilding show, but this place negatively impacted our sleep. Also unfortunate that they were fully booked; did not feel that we could ask to change rooms. We have stayed at other Marriott hotels in Dallas and did not have the same poor experience. Would recommend staying somewhere else like Element or even Aloft.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 14, 2023
Overall: 2.5/5 stars , a decent place to stay if you are in a crunch or need a cheap place to stay. I would consider this a lower level Marriott, and in need of a lot of updating.
The rooms felt old, and had a certain smell. The hallways felt dirty and Just not a great place to stay.
I felt safe throughout my stay but never felt 100% clean! Shower water pressure was dull
Staff was very nice throughout my stay
Gym was adequate for a lower level hotel, cardio machines + free weights
Free breakfast everyday, didn't try it but they did have coffee ready by 7am
Book this hotel if you are a no frills kinda person and just want a cheap place to sleep.
Not sure if I'll be back, the area has a lot of better optionsHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 7, 2023
Horrifying. The only reason i'm giving two stars instead of one is that the front desk staff were super friendly. Otherwise, this place is the worst of the worst.
Room had a strong, musty odor that was reminiscent of cigarettes. Everything showed obvious signs of wear and they are at least 10+ years overdue for a refresh. The artwork that decorated the room was horrifying. While i didn't see any cockroaches in my room, i observed multiple roaches, both dead and alive in and around the property.
The hotel has installed a basketball court on the property, and if you're unlucky enough to get a room near the basketball court, be prepared to hear the sound of bouncing balls all day and night.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rory V.Salt Lake City, UT76646Mar 21, 20241 check-in
I should've read the reviews before booking. My bad. This place really is a dump. The two people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful but that's it! Marriott needs to sell this property to a Motel chain. Ugh!!!
Good thing it was just for one night.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shannon R.NY, NY0135Mar 21, 2024
It is very inexpensive, especially compared to this area. However, the buildings smell each room smells everything's incredibly worn down. The carpets are disgusting. You might be put in a separate unattached building, which is annoying and somewhat dangerous. If you are a woman, traveling alone, would not recommend even for the price.

I stayed here on May 9th & 10th 2023 for a work trip.
The staff was friendly during check in.
I drove over to my building and I was in room 127, the corridors smelled like axe body spray over horrible body and pet odors.
The room was ok, a bit dated. The bed was average. The room rates were good so my expectations were low. The breakfast was ok. The real problem that was the giant cockroach in my bathroom climbing up the wall. See pic attached. I went to the front desk during breakfast to speak with somone and nobody was there. I checked out later that morning and reached out to the GM, he apologized and this is what he told me ( Paola) My hope is the next time you are in the area, you will give us another chance to provide the guest experience we strive to deliver.
There will be no next time as this wasn't rectified the first time.
Thanks but no thanks,

Do not stay here, they will scam you with false accusations that you damaged their hotel room, even if you did not. I had stayed here two times before but never again. My roommate and I left the room in good condition just as we had the previous 2 times, yet the Manager (who is hard to reach) Pratham Patel and his housekeeping team falsely accused us of bringing a dog that caused hotel damage and he charged us double what the room cost for these damages that we did not cause. Four days after our stay, he sent us photos of damage that we didn't see or cause in our hotel room and the photos could have been of any room because they all look the same. We are from another state and submitted proof that we traveled without a dog and submitted letters from colleagues with us on our out of state trip who testified that we did not have any animals with us on our trip and that we did not do any hotel damage. He preyed on two students from another state to make more money. He sent us pictures that showed dog feces on the rug and damage that we did not do on the couch and carpet. We did not cause this damage and when I repeatedly asked him to investigate who actually did this by please checking the cameras, the manager ignored my camera footage requests every time I asked. This is strange, as our hotel room was next to the housekeeping supply closet on the 2nd floor of the B building. You would think that they would have a camera there that he could check to see that we are telling the truth. I didn't even know dogs were allowed in this hotel. I should've known now thinking back that something was strange on this trip seeing as a little after I checked in, a cleaning lady barged in, looked shocked that I was in there and then backed away saying sorry. The manager did not know why that cleaning lady had done that. So if the manager doesn't know what mistakes his cleaning crew does, then how can he call simply asking the head of housekeeping to double check that the damages were reported to our room as a "thorough investigation." Maybe their cameras don't work so that's also a security risk for travelers. I don't know what this manager is covering up by not wanting to check the cameras, but I really just wanted my money back because my roommate and I did not cause any hotel damage and we're poor students. Avoid at all costs.
*Update* Manager acknowledged that we may have not brought a pet but we still have to pay him double our original hotel fee because he doesn't want to investigate more. He really doesn't care about his repeat customers.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Matt M.Round Rock, TX082Nov 14, 2023
Worst Marriott we have ever stayed at. Highly recommend finding a different hotel! Smell is horrible and noticeable mold. Front desk was not helpful. Additionally this individually owned and not what you would expect from a legit Marriott.
