Tokyo Boys is all about authentic Japanese cuisine. Much of our fish is flown in from Japan, our big juicy potstickers are home made, and we have a list of delicious 'signature dishes' such as Kakuni (Braised Pork Belly), Tara Saikyoyaki (Grilled Black Cod) and Maguro Zuke (Marinated tuna with Japanese mountain potatoes). If you are looking for something that's not on our menu, Chef Hiro will do his best to accommodate your wish.

Well, we've been here twice in the last week, and they probably can't get rid of us now. The quality is some of the best I've had in the valley, the prices reflect that, and I'm here for it!
The service is fantastic! Everyone is very friendly, attentive and helpful with the menu.
The vibe is totally retro diner, and there doesn't seem to have been many upgrades, if any, over the years. This adds to the character, but also somehow makes the food more delicious.
This is hands down our pick for a la carte sushi! 10/10Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 7, 20242 check-ins
I'm as Sushi ignorant as they come. I do love the rolls here. Are they made correctly? I have no idea. All I can tell you is I haven't had a bad one.
They are costly. But justified. The staff were very attentive, keeping the glasses filled and checking in on us often.
The place could do with some general repairs or an overall facelift. A strange burning smell took over and it sounded like they were trying to play music in the background, but it was muffled.
Still a great dining experience that I will share with some out of town visitors, next month. 04/24Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - 4505381Mar 5, 20241 check-in
Food: Bara Chirashi and rib eye steak.
I was disappointed in the quality of the fish and presentation of the chirashi. It was served in a glass salad bowl (not traditional) and the pieces of fish were cut up in small parts. It felt like leftover bits! Really unappealing. Hubby said the steak was just ok.
Service: this place is hurting. They have a help wanted sign on the door with several positions. It took forever to get seated and the restaurant was half full. They don't have enough help clearly.
Ambiance: maybe some people like this throw back diner look, but I prefer traditional. It was also really too hot in the restaurant and I'm someone who is always cold.
This was our second try here and we won't be back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 4, 20241 check-in
We were nearby and looked for Sushi and found Tokyo Boys. Drove up and it looks like an old dinner from outside. We were taken to a table after being greeted. The waiter, Dredan, was awesome. The food was fresh and very good. Everything had great flavor. We will definitely be back.

I used to live across the street from this diner when I first moved to Las Vegas. When it closed and changed into a sushi place, I was skeptical. It took me ten years to finally give it a try and I've been kicking myself ever since for not coming in earlier.
Walking in, it's so funny that's it's still a diner inside. The tables are a bit cramped but that's how diners are so it wasn't that bad. We had reservations and it wasn't PACKED so we sat immediately, but the waiting area, if you did have to wait, was large with a lot of seating.
Service was good, but it was a bit busy inside so it wasn't the best. I do have to say that anytime I needed something, we would flag someone down and they would help us right away. We had our water and green tea refilled constantly too. Also, the chef was really gracious and friendly when we walked in and out. So many people came up to him when they came in and out, making it feel like a family atmosphere and I loved that. Made me want to be a regular as well.
Now to the best part... the food! Wow! Fresh and authentic is what comes to mind first. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate AYCE places, but that's not sushi to me. This is. We got the $120 sashimi boat, a few rolls and apps. Not one thing wasn't amazing and delicious. This was an experience and I'm glad that we went all out for it the first time. It may seem a bit expensive, but I thought it was very affordable and well priced for value.
The house made desserts were really good too. I had a black sesame panna cotta on my menu at work at one time and people thought it was "weird." I feel validated that Chef Hiro has this on his menu.
We can't wait to come back in and try some other things on the menu. We completely ignored the bowls and hot apps. We will definitely give some of those a try the next time we come in.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 1 - Mar 19, 2024
Cute sushi spot that I believe took over a diner spot. If you look at the outside you might find yourself going hmmm what's that because the outside is themed like the older diner type style restaurants. The have a pretty large menu with lots of options to choose from and all of ours rolls were delicious.

I finally got to try this spot as it has been in my bookmarks for the last year. I got the Agedashi Tofu for my appetizer, and the 12 piece Sushi Combination (I chose tuna for the optional roll). The tofu was delicious and made perfectly with 3 tofu pieces, with the warm soy sauce broth, topped with grated daikon and chopped green onions. The miso soup that was served with the sushi combo was great, very simple with cubed tofu, seaweed and fresh green onions. The sushi was okay, but I probably would not order this again. Maybe it was the sushi rice that didn't do it for me.
I think they make all there cooked items deliciously, and would want to try more of those next time. The fish is decent quality, so I would probably want to order the sashimi next, and the sushi rolls.
Their service was great, and they were very attentive and quick. The atmosphere is very unique for a sushi restaurant, which I thought was really cute and fun.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Yoko I.Las Vegas, NV0121Feb 19, 2024
I know I know. The 50's diner and the techno music don't particularly scream authentic Japanese food. But if you can just look past that and practice zen to solely focus on the quality of their fish, you know you are at the right place. I'm Japanese and I can tell you their fish is legit. We had Tokujo Chirashi and Salmon-Ikura don. They were loaded with quality selections of sashimi and we couldn't have been happier. The two young servers were trying to cover the whole restaurant and it was really cute to see how hard they were working.
If you are better than AYCE sushi joints but don't have a budget for Kabuto or Mizumi (well... who the hell does these days), give Tokyo Boys a try. You will be happy with this gem.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Neave M.Las Vegas, NV435329Feb 2, 2024
The quality of the fish here is truly the best I've ever had; better than what I've had on islands like Hawaii and Bali which is crazy to say. This has become a regular spot for me. Chef Hiro is incredibly talented and this place NEVER disappoints. The service is always great and I can't emphasize enough how FRESH everything it is. We absolutely love the o toro, chu toro, and Japanese snapper nigiri.
The consistency and quality of this place never fails to amaze me, and I look forward to coming here every time! Such a hidden gem.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1
