Tipsy Chef Café

This is my absolute FAVORITE place for breakfast. There isn't a bad choice on the whole menu.
The service was perfect. Christina made fantastic recommendations and my coffee cup was never empty!
The place itself is cute and fun! I love that I was able to pick my own coffee cup in the shape I liked the best.

Visited last week and we were so impressed with this place. Before posting a review, we wanted to give it another try just in case the first time was an exception.

It wasn't.

I love Benedicts, and the Baja and Irish Benedicts were both sensational. Literally they both looked ready for the cover of Food and Wine, and the taste was perfect. Baja ingredients were exceptionally fresh and the vegis didn't overwhelm the eggs and hollandaise which were on point. The Irish Benedict is a huge plate of excellent home made corned beef hash with caramelized onions. Seriously great.

A side of biscuits and gravy was also wonderful and my wife, who had what she called the best waffle in Idaho, also ordered a side of bacon that, again, had the perfect cook. Second visit was an addictive BLT. She loves this place like I do.

We haven't begun to explore the other options on their menu but can't wait to try more. Support your local businesses and give this place a try. It's a gift to Meridian.

Great, quick lunch spot. I was a visitor but there was a group that had a regular table in the side room, so that in itself shows it's good.
Service was awesome, 2 younger gals working were patient and attentive.
I got an avo toast, which was unique. I got a side of the special pork, which I would recommend as the toast itself isn't very large or filling. Jalapeños were fresh and hot, but flavorful.
On the outside it doesn't look great, but it's definitely worth stopping and enjoying.

Our server was so sweet and had great recommendations for us. The French toast was super yummy and the eggs and meat were cooked perfectly. I love this cafe because it's a perfect place to come with other people or to go by yourself for a solo date, would be a great place to bring a book to read while enjoying yummy food and drinks. I will be back to try more of their menu, as everything sounded delicious.

The food was spot on. Service was so fast and coffee was kept fresh in my cup. Had a nice conversation about dogs with our waitress, super nice lady! We will definitely be coming back soon.

My family has eaten at the Tipsy Cafe twice in the last two weeks. Our first visit was pretty good. The chicken fried steak was homemade, but not much seasoning. Would suggest a lot of salt and pepper for the steak and the gravy. My wife didn't care for her omelette as the ham inside was deli style ham. My wife has to ask for a coffee refill and the other in our party wasn't even topped off. Awkward! Since the location is fairly convenient to home we thought we'd try it again.

For the second visit it just wasn't great. The gravy on the chicken fried steak was cold. My daughter has the chicken and waffle and it came with one very small chicken breast. Kind of funny looking, sorry no picture there. My wife asked for creamer, and the waitress walked by several times and didn't bring it. She had to go up to the counter and ask. No refills offered on soda for the entire meal.

There was a couple beside us who told the waitress their soup was cold and she said all I can do is heat it up in the microwave. Thought that was about par for the experience at the restaurant from what we have experienced.

All in all this restaurant has potential to be good but is just inconsistent. They also need to spend a little more time with their waiters/waitresses.

Wow! What a delightful place hidden between the highway and the hotels. A most excellent selection menu choices for all. Savory or sweet, you'll find a great breakfast, brunch, or lunch.

Cute local restaurant with delicious food and fun drinks. My husband and I always enjoy their boozy iced coffee. Great service and tasty menu. Highly recommend!

I don't know where to start! oh yeah the boozy iced coffee, yum! I had the turkey sandwich with extra bacon jam. Amazing food, amazing service. I will definitely be back. What a good little brunch spot. A must try of you haven't your missing out!

We came here for the 2nd time now since moving to the area and every time we have enjoyed it!!

This past Sunday was no exception...we stopped in for breakfast this time. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs and my wife had the Huevos Rancheros...both dishes were awesome and pre-warning the chicken fried steak can be shared by 2 people it is so big of a portion. The flavors were also great and while I got the country gravy on the side as a precaution, however this was so tasty and delicious. My wife also really enjoyed her food as well. She loved the simplicity but the flawless execution and flavors she absolutely loved!!

Plus the service was outstanding and has been outstanding on each of the 2x we have been here. In addition the inside of this place is very well done. Simple but well done and love the vibe of this Meridian hidden gem. I hope anyone traveling through or local gives this place a try.
