No wonder this place has such a crappy rating

I called to ask a simple question and got a TON of attitude when I ask. Wasn't a tough thing to answer at all, but you would have thought so when the clerk WENT OFF on me when they told me "I can't answer that over the phone" and I said "why not"

I will NEVER spend a dime in this place and from now on I will NEVER step foot in a Thornton gas station again, even though there is one in my neighborhood!

If the policy of this franchise is to REFUSE to answer a SIMPLE Question and give you ATTITUDE when you question them as to why they can't answer you, then maybe they should sell the franchise and visit a SHEETZ station !


I would PUSH my car to a different station if I was out of gas before I spent a penny in a Thornton's again !!!!

Multiple associates but never more than one register open even when the line reaches the door. That's during the day, during overnight hours they close the doors when they feel like hanging out with friends inside (this happened multiple times as well).

Their gas prices are usually the lowest in the area and their pumps are always in good working order. The only problem is if you go inside early in the morning, particularly for the morning rush. The manager here seems to think that 3 or 4 people stocking shelves while there is only 1 register open and 15 people waiting is an acceptable thing.

I'm a fan of a gas station? Yeah, that's right, and here's why:
* Pretzel buns for your hot dogs
* Their "Fabulous Fountains" with over "17 billion flavor combinations." All kidding (and marketing) aside, it's pretty damn fun making your own fountain creations, including hot and frozen
* Mexican snack cakes
* Deviled eggs. Yeah, it's weird but I like them and they deserve a bullet point
* CBC IPA beer in the cooler
* Bottles of wine

...that's it for now since you're probably stuck on how amazing the first bullet is.

Store is always busy in the early morning, can usually find what I'm looking for., the only other problem is at that time of morning when its busy and people are trying to get in and out, there's always the one cashier that always flirts with the guys., if she would concentrate on getting the customers out in a timely manner than worried about her flirting with every man that comes in there then maybe getting out and not being late for work would change and I'd recommend people to come to this place. There's been more than just one occasion I've heard people complain about this particular cashier and the manager sees her doing this and nothing is done.

Refill on 64oz. soft drinks for only .89 cents. Freezes drinks only .79 cents. Place is always clean and well stocked. Join their rewards program and get even more deals.

If you wanna feel like an inconvenience, then this is the place for you! I went in yesterday and asked if they had a small bag of the Buckeye candies because I could have sworn I'd seen them there before. The man behind the register didn't even look up at me, just said "no, no buckeyes here." So I grabbed a bag of roles and walked to the register. He stood right in front of me doing his paperwork and didn't even acknowledge me for a good four minutes. I finally asked if the register was open and he said yes and ignored me for another minute. About the time I was ready to just walk out he came over grabbed the bag, scanned it, snatched my card out of my hand swiped it and said, "thank you have a good day" and walked off. I hope this wasn't the manager, but either way, the next time I walk in and see him I'll immediately walk back out. He was a darker guy with salt and pepper/grayish hair. Watch out for Mr bad attitude. The only reason I will go back is because I don't know of another place with cotton candy icees! In fact the icee is the reason it even got two stars!
