We have stayed here since they were built and enjoyed all the amenities
Then Covid hit and like all hotels the service went down, the amenities were closed and the furniture inside and out was rundown
I must say on our last visit a month ago we saw a great improvement. Rooms were redone( still doing more) the pool furniture had new covers and frames were updated and we saw people working around the property constantly
I only hope they continue to improve things like the food at Happy Hour, the selection of gourmet foods at the market, and better events ( wine tasting, cooking classes, arts and crafts for the kids, etc
Keep up the good work and thank you for trying to make this a greater getaway!

One of the worst hotel experiences I've had in a long time: had to wait an hour and a half for the room to be ready. Once at the room, none of the keys work. Then someone arrives 15 mins later to give us new keys: two of the four work. Then the key scanner died so now we're completely locked out of the room.

Staff is completely unapologetic about the problem. We paid a lot of money for this room and they just don't care.

Plenty of other good options in Palm Desert. Stay away.

Timeshare owners are second class citizens; no upgrades, late check in, early check out, run down units! Far from everything! Amazing Westin is associated with it now! We bought a timeshare when it was still owned by Westin. Unfortunately now it is owned by Vistana and the 'bait and switch' is intense! Do NOT buy into this debacle! You will regret it!

Keep paying them more and more and get less and less. Our kids don't even want to inherit the deed; they want to make sure it gets handed back upon our deaths. Pretty poor outlook for this property and the whole premise.

I loved the quiet desert views. Not too hot at the time I was there. Pools for cooling off are close by the villa. I think it's a good place to stay in Palm Desert.

This was my first time staying so no history or nothing to weigh against but our stay was solid!

My bestie and I were in town for a concert and I booked this place for a few days. Mini staycay!

Staff was nice and we got our room an hour or so early.

Room was nice. Not amazing but definitely great. I got the large unit one bedroom full kitchen. It was perfect. We were able to cook and snack our entire stay.

We used the jacuzzi one night and that was mediocre but nice.

The room and grounds were clean, the staff was nice, and our stay was comfortable. I would definitely book again.

What did they construct this place out of, balsa wood?

I'm not sure what's going on in the unit above us, but it sounds like they're rearranging all of the furniture at 11pm while having a party. I can hear every footstep and most of their conversation through the ceiling. I guess it could be worse... I could have been subjected to some far more lurid action beyond the extensive interior redecorating...

The "villa" we're staying in is next to the elevator and the double-ding of the elevator going off every few minutes as people arrive and depart pierces through the windows/door. Speaking of the windows, the shades leak the bright hallway lights around the edges. If you're sensitive to light when you sleep, good luck making it through the night if you're crashing on the pull-out bed in the front room.

Then, beginning in the early morning, there's the incessant whine of the forklift thing they use to haul garbage. From what I could tell, the industrial trash bin to which they cart the property's rubbish is located right behind our building. I can hear the hum of the machine coming and going with its precious cargo as soon as I wake up.

And don't get me started on the children running around the halls screeching like banshees. At least that particular drama resolved itself in short order.

I really waffled between gifting one or two stars, and ultimately thought I'd err toward leniency, since we didn't use any of the property's amenities and those might offer redeeming qualities. Also, the kitchenette is tiny but functional, and it was useful to have a washer/dryer so we could pack clean clothes home after exploring Joshua Tree National Park.

It's the second (and, fortunately, last) night we're staying here, since my parents are timeshare owners. If there were ever a sales pitch that could convince me to invest in a property like this, that salesperson would deserve some kind of miracle award for the year.

      Get me out.

I have been visiting the Westin Desert Willow Villas for numerous years as I have always loved my time there. That is until my recent visit where some shady guest of theirs chose to provide my room number at their restaurant and charge their bill to me. I brought it up with the front desk, who looked in to it and said the bill wasn't even signed. They said the manager would call me to discuss, but never did. I followed up a few days later and they promised the manager would call me to discuss, but still never did. Now I'm stuck paying the tab for someone else.

This was a summer getaway for my wife and I, and it was one of the best trips we've ever had together. Nearly everything was perfect. Our Villa was on the second floor and overlooked the golf course, so that was a lot of fun. We spent nearly all 3 days lounging out at the adults-only pool. Did lots of swimming, lots of tanning, and lots of reading. During the lunch hours (when it was hottest) we explored some of the local areas. They have a game room where we were able to play some table tennis. Also played some pickleball. A lovely venue. Just loved everything about it. Hoping to visit again some day soon.

We come here a few times per year and it was nice to see they had updated their rooms. We stay in the larger Villa with the full kitchen. It has most everything but of course, I bring my own containers etc myself. Sadly, it was not great weather this month of Feb. So didn't get to enjoy lounging by the pool as usual. I love the addition of a spin bike in the gym but then they removed so many weight machines like a leg extension, so missed having that. But other than that, wonderful stay and vacation. Great location too.

View from the walk to our building. Gorgeous!
Lunch from Chef Tanya's Cafe. Can't get much better than this place in Palm Desert!

I've been an owner for 5 years and this is the second time I've stayed at this property. My husband and I came 3 years ago and had a villa on a lower floor and it was frankly a small and depressing space. We weren't in the room much, so we let it go. Coming back this time we got a very spacious villa on a top floor. The views help make up for some things that are lacking.

There's a reason why I always travel with Clorox wipes and they definitely got used here. Housekeeping needs to be stepped up. There were spots around the bathroom mirror frames, finger prints on doors and windows, hair in the shower and tub, some chunky substance that came out of the jets in the tub, the phones were disgusting and crusty with filth, just to name a few. There is no housekeeping offered during your stay. We were only here for a few days so it was manageable and just the two of us. It would be great if they included a bottle of cleaning disinfectant in the kitchen. Not that I want to be cleaning on a holiday away, but it would make me feel more in control of things being overlooked.

I'm giving 3 stars because of the EV charging station located near our villa. My husband was thrilled with this feature and that it was free. I reminded him how we pay for that as owners every month, so no, not exactly free.

I would like to see an upgrade with the appliances in the kitchen. Cheap is the best way to describe the toaster and coffee maker (which needs a good cleaning!) and the name of the detergent for the washing machine is some brand I've never heard that would probably destroy my clothes.

I don't know that I will come back to this location in the desert or if I'll go to Rancho Mirage next time. I've stayed there a few times and enjoyed the property.
