Loved the shrimp .
Was cooked perfectly and it taste better then the other Shrimp shack by the mall

The only reason for the two stars is because my order was ready on time, it was hot and the staff were very nice. I asked for some extra cocktail sauce and they threw it in no charge. I guess when you're spending $37.96. They throw it in. I ordered a pound of the jumbo and a pound of the large, and made the large a dinner. Something is not right, it's almost like they cook the shrimp. Then they peel the shrimp,not de-veinings the shrimp, breading the shrimp and then deep fried shrimp, which makes no sense to me. The breading pretty much falls off due to the fact that the shrimp or cooked already once I'm thinking. Fried shrimp should be cooked from raw after being deveined and that's just not the case here. It was a Friday night during lent, and I thought the place would be swamped, but there was no one in there. Hopefully, they figure it out before they become just another casualty of the restaurant industry.

I always forget about this place because it off the Main Street(RIdge) in the cut. Lunch specials! I bought the whiting fish specials $6.49 it comes with fries and a pop. The batter is crunchy and tasty. The batter is even and medium with taste of garlic and pepper and some other ones I can't identify. Not salty! Love it it's texture and golden color. Next time I will order the POE Boy. Fish is Fried to perfection and I will purchase again. It's worth stopping by. I will bring my neighbors

I picked up shrimp from here last night with my friend. I called to place my pick up order (one 1/2 lb Cajun dinner and one 1/2 lb regular dinner) and the lady on the phone was rude, she clearly didn't want to answer any of my questions and I could hear her rolling her eyes, if that makes sense. We finally got our food and honestly the fries were okay, the shrimp was coated in the batter (obviously) but it wasn't good. The batter was just like flour, salt and pepper or something. It was thin and not much tbh, I wasn't impressed. The shrimp was also fishy, and most of the time I get fried shrimp it's not. My friend got the Cajun rice as her side and it tasted just like the boxed rice from the dollar store. I wouldn't go here again or recommend it.

No indoor dining. Most people just park and go in, place order (large selection on overhead board), pay cash ( ATM machine available since they only take cash)wait approximately 10 minutes get your order. Several choices of cocktail sauces. Sodas also available. We always order the 1lb of jumbo shrimp!! It's the best I've had! Light breading, very large, cooked to perfect Do it every time, very consistent! Although there's always a steady stream people constantly walking in, they're very fast and always pleasant. My trips average 10 mins every time!

I only eat shrimp by spell and they hit the spot . I was surprised. But happy don't seem to be a difference In small or large but the price !

I went to the one in Munster. They have the best seafood! The service was great, friendly and timely. It was very clean and I love the vibe. It's a small place but one you would hang out in if were bigger. They are following Covid protocol. The prices are reasonable and the food was excellent. This is officially one of my favorite go to spots. It's carry out only right now because of Covid but I think it's that way anyway. Stop by if you can!

We decided to get carry-out last night and when deciding what to get, my husband slipped Shrimp Shack's menu into the mix. We had not tried their food before, so we decided to take a chance. We ordered a pound of shrimp, two fries and an order of coleslaw. The shrimp and fries were well prepared and seasoned. The only drawback was that the coleslaw was obviously not home-made...and I can live with that!

I'm not a big fan of fried shrimp, but my wife is, so we decided to check out the Shrimp Shack. We both ordered a half pound of the large shrimp with rice and coleslaw. The shrimp were well cooked, the coleslaw was excellent and the rice had a little bite to it. All in all I'd say if you like fried shrimp you could do a lot worse than the Shrimp shack in Munster. Worth adding to the rotation.
