This place was delicious. Believe the hype.

This is a small restaurant/kitchen tucked inside the corner of a gas station. I ordered one of the Sunday deals where I got catfish, seafood stuffing, macaroni and cheese, and cornbread. Ya'll this food was so good. Easily top three best macaroni and cheese I've ever had. The catfish was fresh and juicy. The seafood stuffing was flavorful, and the cornbread was a nice treat with a hint of sweetness. The food was so so flavorful, the portions are huge, and you are getting every bang for your buck here.

Be FOREWARNED: The food does take awhile. I'd say anticipate an hour wait minimum. Especially if you go on a busy day, but honestly, I assume this would be the typical wait time regardless of day.

If you have the time/patience and an empty stomach this is your spot.

Boy am I stuffed! I don't have room for desert. They say the first thing to a successful business is location, location, location. My goodness I couldn't stress this enough. Food was good and all. The low score is for location. But I dislike the fact it's located inside a liquor store. Alcohol has taken over America. Won't be any food to eat after while. I don't even drink. Imma be praying for them to get a better location. Cuz ain't no way I could ever go back there. Owner hitme up. I know some good spots for you to go to.

Hello, Passion Cafe I was in there today about 12:30 and ordered a Burger& fries I guess I should have checked it before I left But I had I piece of wilted black lettuce one thin piece of tomato chopped white onions I was looking for Purple sliced onions and it wasn't a Good Hot Burger but the fries was hot and a taste Very disappointing Burger I love my Veggies on my burger.

The service was really good but honestly the food is mid. The food didn't have a strong flavor or salt. Nothing distinctly flavorful about it. The catfish was real but was dirty -- could taste that dirty line in the food. The dirty rice was mushy like minute rice and just a sprinkle of meat. The cream sauce was good but again no distinct flavor saying this is Cajun, Creole or anything with a specific flavor palate. The shrimp rubbery and overcooked. The strawberry crunch cake definitely a dry boxed cake with some cookies on top. Meh.

I don't know many spots serving it up like this. If you do, drop me a message. You walk into the store, and you know where to go from the line. Social media influencers work.

Food: Read a post where someone's for was bland. Mine was too salty. I feel like if that consistency can be worked out, it's a win. The shrimp was a bit overcooked. But compliments on using jumbo shrimp. I like whatever magic sauce he's using.

The Wait: I didn't go there in a rush, so I didn't clock it or feel like I was voting on election day. Plus, I was chatting it up with other 1st time patrons in line. If you are in a rush, Golden Chick is in the same shopping center.

The service: This was great. The young lady at the counter helped me using the clues I gave to let me know I wanted the special since it's not on the regular menu. And when I picked up my order, the man who handed me my bag had some nice pleasantries.

Seating: Very limited. But it was nice to see some ladies after choir practice sitting & enjoying their meal.

All in all, I my experience supporting a black business.

I got the "Salmon Philly cheesesteak and Wangs" and that Philly is something deliciously different! To be honest, it was so good I can't even leave you a legit review on the wings bc I can't even remember. The fries are delicious side to the sandwich. At first glance the plate looked too saucy. But after digging in, it's just the right amount. The sauces actually complement each other nicely.
The ambience is well kept secret in the back of a convenient store. As I stated in my recent post about a locally owned restaurant... I've been to many hole in the wall spots and the best ones are usually playing good music in the back and the chef's are in their groove singing while doing what they love. I believe that's what's makes their food taste as delicious as it does bc it was made with Passion... this is one of those places.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while and their stuffed Turkey leg and finally got the chance. This place is small and located at the back of a convenient store, just follow your nose and you'll see it. They offer a vast amount of options that are outside the box, but they are delicious. I had the dirty rice stuffed Turkey leg which was amazing and a side of wings with the 8ball sauce. It was very nice with a sweet then spicy end to it. They have two tables for sitting but most people do pick up orders. I would recommend coming early if you want a Turkey leg, they run out pretty quickly. If they do though there are plenty other options to choose from. You will have to wait about 20+ minutes for your order but like any good soup food it's well worth the wait.

10/10 I highly recommend this black owned business. I originally came for a stuffed turkey leg but i am allergic to seafood and they had no non seafood options, which they should invest in! Aside from that, the cheesesteak was the best that I've ever had no lie! The wings were also a 10/10 and the fries 9/10. The customer service is a 10/10 they're all so sweet. There will be a wait but it's worth it and there's plenty seating and snacks or drinks to buy while you wait.

Ordered catfish, sweet potatoes, Mac n cheese AND seafood dressing.

Will gladly order catfish, sweet potatoes, Mac n cheese AGAIN! Dressing was lacking flavor and had a strong seafood smell. I'll doctor it when I get home. My husband and I ate everything else in the PARKING LOT.

Don't forget the hot sauce. It made the fish and Mac n cheese go to the next level.

Sweet potatoes were mashed and had one big marshmallow on top. I was afraid because I'm not used to that being on top. They were seasoned and sweet. Delicious. Pushed the mellow to the side.

I wish the service was warmer for a first time like me. By the way there were so many first timers, no regulars at 1:00 on Saturday.

Wait time around 25 minutes. Not a problem at all. Sat in my car until buzzer rang.
