Beautiful Cottage. Good service.
The charcuterie board was amazing! It is a very generous portion for 2-4 people.
The salmon was to die for. In the month I've been in New Zealand, this is the best bread I have had. So good!

This is a marvellous eatery. It is easy to find, the colonial style building is beautifully maintained and the grounds are lovely. As it is a converted house, there are several rooms for dining. I was here as part of a group who chose this place to hold their wake, to share thoughts and memories with close friends and family over lunch. We had two large share tables in a nice, out of the way corner. We enjoyed very relaxed but respectful service, beautiful food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. For starting nibbles we had beautiful fresh mini bread loaves and delicious thick polenta chips. My meal was off the menu - scrambled eggs, mushrooms, spinach and tomato on rye toast. My companion enjoyed a lovely dish of Venison Fry and Bacon. They have a good selection of beers and wines too. It was all excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and come again. Thank you.

Have been many times over the years & today was the second time in as many weeks I've had to send my eggs back. If you can't do the basics right then take it off the menu. Great customer service & an interesting layout but won't be back for brunch again.
