Six of us had dinner at the Harwood Arms. Four had the trout which was excellent and two of us had the sirloin which was also great. It was served with bread before the main course and vegetables and potatoes with the meal. We also had dessert which I would also recommend. It was a lot of food and I think that we took a third of it home. The servers were attentive as was the host.

We really loved The Harwood Arms. It is such a pleasure to have exceptional food in a casual, relaxed setting. The dining room is rustic and cozy. And even though The Harwood Arms is a pub, the service is top notch.
The food is classic British cooking with a focus on game and wild meat. My favorite dish was the venison scotch egg with Oxford sauce. It was beautiful with a runny golden yolk. My only complaint is that it came out with instead of ahead of my starter as requested.
The thyme flavored sauce on the rabbit lasagne was phenomenal. The Berkshire Fallow Deer was perfectly cooked and served with mushrooms and onions. They had dessert special, a date custard tart, that we were lucky to get.
I also enjoyed their gin list and tried three different English gins, each one delicious.
I highly recommend it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 6378563353Oct 28, 2023
Dinner at Harwood Arms was absolutely exquisite from beginning to end. It's the only Michelin-starred pub in London, and although it's definitely a posh experience dining here, it doesn't feel stuffy or pretentious. It still has a level of comfort.
The staff was attentive and patient. One member of our group got an important phone call from her son in the United States and had to step out to talk to him for a few minutes, and they gave us some space and never made us feel like we were wasting their time as they waited to take our orders.
The food is absolutely fantastic. From the wonderful brown bread and perfectly creamy butter, to every other bite of food that graced our table.
The onion tart was exceptional, the tomato was so perfectly balanced with the most adorable little croutons for texture, all of our main courses and especially the best potatoes ever, which were twice cooked, boiled and then fried in GARLIC BUTTER! They were so crispy and delicious. I couldn't get over it. Dessert too absolutely hit the mark.
This meal was another one of those totally memorable, totally must bookmark this spot and return on any future visit to London because it was truly that good. It is worth going out of your way to eat here, trust me.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Aug 30, 2023
We came for a late lunch with an absolute empty stomach but we were sooooo full we can barely fit in the dessert.
£65 per person for a three course menu but a supplemental £7.50 for the sirloin. There's a special steak for a supplemental £12.50 but we thought might try their standard first.
Alcohol is very high quality- I had the white wine (forgot which one but I always op for the second cheapest) and it was very very luxurious. My friend had the beer with champagne and it was very interesting in the best way.
We chose the pate and onion tart for our starter. Very tasty - perhaps we are hungry - and we literally inhaled it.
The deer - loved it as I'm a big fan of gamy stuff. It's on the salty side though so pair it with a potato is perfect. It was very yummy.
Sirloin was very nice actually. I was so skeptical because steaks are very tricky but they did it beautifully.
All the sides are great especially the giant crispy Yorkshire pudding but the only thing is they only gave us two strips of carrot :(
By the time it's dessert, we are already so full that we debate about packing it to go. This says a lot because we usually try to finish our food. But god that was good. It was so good that even with a max out stomach, I still found it tasty. And I'm not a dessert person.
The bill comes to around £180 with 3 drinks in total. Not cheap but the quality was definitely there. Never have I ever had such a posh pub meal before. HahaHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 3674542235Aug 21, 2023
Food 6/10
Great meal, but it was just not the type of food I enjoy the most. Scottish venison eggs and onion tart were the highlights of my meal. It was overall quite a rich and hearty meal, with no breaks, as we started with the rich scotch eggs, had some complimentary rye bread with whipped butter (delicious and warm), and ended with deer, mushrooms, in a creamy and heavy sauce. My stomach was not at its best when we ended this meal, but I did enjoy getting a chance to try the flavors.
Atmosphere 7/10
Very much a gastropub vibe. Dark wooden interior with fur decor (no clue if it's real or not). We were seated in a snug corner, vibes.
Service 5/10
Even though we were seated at 8:30, we didn't get to our main until 10pm, so it was quite a delayed meal. Wish it was faster, they were not as attentive as I had hoped.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Catherine B.Tampa, FL032018Apr 27, 2024
Amazingly surprised. If there is such an expression. This is a Michelin restaurant. And well worth it. Entrees and main dish are highly original in taste and presentation.

We visited on Sunday for roast dinner - Oh my! Great location in quiet neighborhood. Old corner bar full of charm and friendly staff. We arrived without reservations and between meal rushes and after a drink at the bar we were seated. The Sunday roast is an event, served for two with plenty of everything. See picture. Great tasting food, gravy and veggies - haven't head a better Sunday roast. We were never rushed and felt like we were eating at a friend's home. Great meal and experience

I came here for dinner and absolutely loved it! The staff knew we were celebrating, so they gave us a card and an additional dessert. Those were very nice touches. It's nice that it's a prix fixe menu, so we were able to try every course. For my drink, I had the Kir Britannia, which was very good. For my starter, I had the seasonal vegetables, which came with smoked trout. It was absolutely beautiful to look at, and it was amazing! For my main, I had the fallow deer, which was also great! Our server gave us smashed potatoes with it, and they complemented each other nicely. For my dessert, I had the lemon thyme panna cotta, and it was so refreshing! We also had the apricot ice cream, and it was full of apricot flavor! Everything was outstanding, and I really recommend trying it out! The workers are really great, too!

Service was great! Seated promptly. Food is cooked above restaurant and lowered in these dumb waiters. So cool! The venison was perfect. Didn't taste gamey at all! I didn't like the taste of a ground meat in my dish but it was okay. The beef short Rib was tender. Really loved the onion tart and Scotch egg. It was a great experience.

One of the best restaurants I went to while in London. There was 4 of us we all tried each other's food and I can tell you every single thing was amazing. It wasn't too rich or filling but just really good food. I loved the modern look of a pub style restaurant too. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone
