How is the coffee? We like strong coffee, such as you can get at Panera's. Anybody else like me please comment. Thanks.

We were in our 24ft motor home, in Boynton Beach, FL, visiting family, looking for an easy place to park, get a meal that would not be "fast food" and then continue on our way to Key West. Siri told us 'food near us' was The Diner, so we that's where we landed.
Easy peasy parking for 2:30 in the afternoon in a plaza parking.
The Diner was buzzing but we were seated right away. Our waiter was very pleasant & knew the menu like they were 1st cousins. My husband questioned the Reuben sandwich and our waiter, looked like we had asked him about his first "crush."
Jerry followed his rave reviews on the Reuben sandwich & I ordered the Angus Burger & fries. Even though it was after the typical lunch hour, Everyone was very busy, smiles were everywhere, but the sound was such that Jerry and I could hear ourselves think. We could talk to each other & visit. No phones out on this table. Dang it!
In no time, our food arrived & I was munching down on the freshest, hot off the grill burger cooked exactly the way I asked for it - with just the faintest line of a pink blush in the center & my current weakness, a generous portion of yummy fries. If you thought your Mama was generous when you go home to visit & push your chair up to the table as she puts your plate down it front of you, well, I'm sorry, even your Momma would be proud of The Diner.
Jerry loved his Reuben sandwich & even I felt a little jealous watching him eat it. Then I remembered the look on our waiter's face as he explained the sandwich to Jerry in the beginning.
The way to a man's heart is through his stomach? Maybe whoever first started that saying was on to something.....
My only regret at The Diner - not getting our fabulous waiters name.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Lisa C.Long Beach, NY0362May 14, 2024
Finally!! A real NY-style diner! Took me 4 years of trying but boy was it worth the wait. The omelette (huge!) and home fries covered the plate it was such a generous serving. Both were fresh and delicious. The coffee was the first decent cup of restaurant coffee I've had yet. And the service was terrific! Best part -- prices were reasonable; a shock nowadays. I'll be back and back and back.
One negative: only open until 4 p.m. I'll rearrange my schedule lol!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 27, 2023
I was in the area last week and my husband said he had been to this great diner on Gateway so we stopped in for lunch.
Very cute inside and there was no wait when we walked inside. We were seated and able to order quickly. Love the fact that they serve breakfast all day.
Pancakes were excellent. An order of 2 was plenty for me. My husband had the french toast which also was very good. It came with 2 thick cut slices of bread cut on the diagonal.
As I was looking around, I noticed some big sandwiches with plates overflowing with french fries. Everything looked amazing so I know next time I'm in the area, I must try one of the sandwiches.Helpful 18Thanks 2Love this 10Oh no 2 - Mar 23, 2024
We have only had breakfast. Excellent frittatas, spectacular waffles and superior home fries. The waffles are malted , light , fluffy and are a pleasure. We had waffles covered in fresh fruit and nothing disappointed. Home fries were plentiful and cooked perfectly. My favorite is their frittatas. The broccoli and Swiss is phenomenal. The service is always attentive and friendly. What I appreciate most is it doesn't matter if you are dinning alone or with family; the wait staff is always kind and on top of everything! Great breakfast stop on Gateway!!!

I had breakfast there in the early morning. Food was good, but the service was lacking. I really needed my coffee and the waitress never came by with a refill or any comment like do you need anything else, etc. She never asked how my meal was. I was never asked if I wanted water or sweetner with my coffee. I know this is minor, but I saw her having a conversation with some regulars with the coffee pot in hand for a refill... but it never made it over close to me. It was not busy, so I was surprised at the poor service.

I'm a coffee snob, and the coffee was very good. Refill please!
The sevice was good and the staff was very friendly, the atmosphere was relaxing which was much needed after a hectic work week.
I was surprised when I walked in and there was no wait! Just sit down I was told.Helpful 5Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - May 28, 202313 check-ins
I can believe I've never left a review for here. This diner is just off I-95 at Gateway in Boynton
They have something called "pea meal" which is a real Canadian bacon. It's thin sliced pork and worth the trip for this alone.
Their omelets are 5 eggs !! I have never seen anyone finish one and we always get 2-3 meals from one breakfast.
My husband gets the sausage gravy and biscuits which come with 3 eggs.
They have egg white frittatas that are also huge.
We have never had anything bad here. Best breakfast around and worth the driveHelpful 2Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 0 - Apr 23, 2023

My brother and his wife recommended the dinner for lunch . Yes they have a nice menu but limited for vegans . I love a salad but can't have tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers due to allergies . It was difficult to substitute veggie at this place but perfect for carnivores. Ample parking and. Good service .Helpful 21Thanks 1Love this 9Oh no 0 - 7831439Feb 25, 2024
I've been here a few times. The service can be a hit or miss but the food is always good. The almost French toast (I think it's called) is good but very sweet so prepare yourself for that one if you order it.
