Dawn D.Baltimore, MD42310Feb 4, 2024Incredible Greek food, especially the gyro, the spanikopita, and the Greek potatoes. Their Greek salad is chock full of veggies and feta with a delicious dressing. $6 gyro Wednesdays are the best deal in town.
Basically strictly a carryout but a few small cramped tables but they're very nice and the food travels well.

BGC is a chain of about 10 locations around the DC area with Cockeysville being the first in metro Baltimore. A Greek friend recommended the place and word of mouth works.
My son and I were to visit a joint in Fork known for their Greek specialties but timing had us consider options and BGC was our decision simply based on a conversation I had earlier in the day!
First impression: location has hi-top seating and a few tables for two. Most business was carry out but I was more than happy to enjoy our meal there.
The menu board was bright and options were priced low to high. We decided to stay low to mid end.
My son ordered a gyro platter with sides of Greek fries and small Greek salad. I ordered the spanakopita platter with sides of green beans in tomato sauce and a small Greek salad.
The food? Unbelievably good! Some Yelpers say the food transcends places in Greektown. I concur, with the exception of one place and my mother-in-law's (Yia-Yia's) cooking.
If you're Greek or married to one, you owe it to yourself to check out BGC!

The chicken has a great flavor, and the fries are great every time. Never soggy, always crispy, fresh and delicious.

I have been to the BGC location near Bethesda, and was wonderfully surprised when I saw this new location opened only 10 minutes from my home. My partner and I were not very fond of the greek restaurant previously located here, but the BGC is a complete 180 from that!
I ordered through DoorDash on a Monday afternoon, and received my food within 30 minutes. I was a bit skeptical about ordering the fries since they don't usually travel well in my opinion. However, when they arrived they were still crunchy and not a soggy mess! I ordered the chicken souvlaki and my partner got the traditional greek gyro.
The price for all three items was very reasonable, specially when considering the portion size, flavor, and freshness. The chicken in the souvlaki was perfectly cooked, and well seasoned. My partner finished most of his food and agreed that it was well-seasoned and with fresh ingredients.
Overall, this will certainly become a staple at our home whenever we're in a pinch for dinner.- Nov 28, 2023
Stopped in with the family while out running errands. We all love Greek so we got a quick dinner and everyone left happy and full.
The sandwich wraps are hearty and delicious. Bring a big appetite when you order the bowls! Prices were very reasonable and food came out quick.

My brother told us we had to try out The Big Greek Café on a Wednesday for the $6.00 Gyro special. First of all, this is strictly a carry-out restaurant. They do have an area of counter seating and 4 two top tables, but that is it. There were 4 of us, and we were able to put 2 two top tables together so that we could eat in. My brother was right, the Gyro was huge - shaved beef and lamb served on pita bread. We all had the special. Our friends ordered a side of French fries. They were crisp and really good. We were so bad, we just dug right into the food and forgot to take pictures. The Big Greek Café is certainly worth coming to especially on Wednesday for the $6 Gyro.

Place was packed around 1pm on a weekday, which is never a bad sign. Very small, though. They only have 3 two person tables and maybe 6 stools to sit at a hightop counter. I got a chicken bowl which came with a side of warm pita. I think the bowl was a good size for the price and pretty flavorful.

444114Oct 10, 2023I just happened to pass by this place and just decided to try a new spot. I was not disappointed. First, the restaurant is very clean and organized. The staff woman at the counter was very nice and the food came out fast. I had a gyro and fries and they were delicious. I made sure to take a menu for my coworkers. I will surely be back.

450368164Dec 1, 2023Nothing crazy but not bad fast food Greek food. Definitely fast food but a fun takeout for easy dinner. The original gyro was the best dish. Go with the regular friend over the Greek fries
