The Actors Circle Acting School

Marcie is an amazing acting coach who offers countless encouragement and advice for her students of all ages...my 11 year old son has found his weekly classes to be a source of inspiration and joy.

Marcie's constant encouragement and guidance into the realm of what we have yet to find within ourselves makes me feel like I stand a little taller as an artist, an actor and human everyday....

I met Marcie at a party and when she told me she had an acting school I asked her if she thought lessons might help with confidence.
I'm not an actor, and never want to be, but thought acting class might 'loosen me up'.
Marcie's classes are fantastic!
I sat in on a class with bunch of young kids before I committed and now I've taken several classes I'm even considering some acting!

About as good as it gets. This started truly as just a 'hobby' for my oldest daughter and Marcie turned it into something above and beyond. She is so dedicated and passionate. She believed in our daughter before we did. Spent extra hours well beyond the class schedule. I guess you can see the difference between the ones doing this as a job and the ones truly having a passion for acting. Thank you Marcie for all you do.

The Actors Circle was one of the best personal choices I made this year. I contacted Marcie Smolin, the owner and instructor, and came to audit a class.

I immediately fell in love with the class, the members, and with Marcie. She builds custom courses and units that are tailored to the members of the specific class. The sessions are dynamic and personal. She covers a variety of different tools to use to hone your skills. It is obvious she cares about you and your success in acting.

It's very clear to me why she has so many long-term students. If you are beginning to look at acting or an actor wanting to get even better, there is no other place I can recommend with the same fever as The Actors Circle.

Marcie is awesome. The studio has a familial, connected atmosphere. It's a place where you can laugh and at the same time learn a ton. I'm a fan.

Marcie Smolin is an amazing instructor and coach, who gives actors the tools and strategies they need to perform at the top of their game in a competitive industry. Nothing is "canned" - Smolin takes an approach to give actors of varying levels the opportunity for growth that is specific to their own needs. The Actors Circle is filled with incredibly supportive members who round out an entirely holistic experience. I had come back to acting after a period of working on other projects, and was immediately helped to focus my energy and strengths to audition effectively. Because of The Actors Circle, I have been able to book professional work in line with my goals.

It's fun, affordable, and will take you where you want to go. If you're thinking about taking the leap, just do it. You won't be sorry you did.

I love this acting school. The lessons and exercises that comprise each class period are varied and change from week to week to ensure that students get a wide range of experience and training. These classes are fantastic both for newbies looking to dip their toes into the acting world for the first time and for seasoned vets who want to further hone their acting muscles.

It must also be noted that Marcie, the owner/teacher, is absolutely delightful. Instead of hoarding her hard-gained knowledge or tearing down students, she manages to impart knowledge, provide meaningful critiques, and make everyone laugh along the way. She is always willing to share her advice and experiences with her students because it is important to her that we are able to thrive and skillfully navigate the crazy world of acting. Additionally, Marcie works to foster a sense of supportive community among her students; doing so allows us to feel comfortable sharing, interacting, and truly squeezing the most out of the lessons and scenes that we have with one another.

I have been taking class at The Actor's Circle and couldn't be happier! Classes are well thought out and include improvisation exercises and scene work to target general skills needed as an actor as well as specific things targeted to your individual needs as you develop your craft. Feedback is provided in a positive, supportive, and constructive manner. Classes are fun and filled with laughter. Marcie (the owner/teacher) treats everyone as family and builds a strong sense of community.

Marcie Smolin is the FUNNIEST woman you ever want to meet. Her school is very warm and friendly. Marcie is a good teacher and makes you special. She cares about her students and wants them to succeed. She loves animals also and that shows what a great heart she as. I recommend this school highly!
