Thai Orchid Restaurant & Lounge

After heading up to Orono to catch a movie, we stopped in Thai Orchid after finding them on yelp! looking for vegan options. I'm glad we did. We were greeted by the friendly staff and waited on right away. The server was very gracious about all the questions I had to ask about what ingredients were used in the dishes, so I ended up with an order of fresh rolls and the Hurricane. Both dishes were excellent. The Hurricane was hot and spicy, just the way I like Thai food. Pair that with a Singha beer and I was in Thai heaven. I will be driving back to Orono just to eat at Thai Orchid, it's well worth the trip!

Great food good service. Sat a while after done. Had to seek out help for Togo containers and check.
Overall great experience.

Over priced, not nearly as good as another local place. The Thai curry soup doesn't come with all the fun fixings that usually accompany the soup, half the fun is adding it all together and creating flavor combos. The fresh spring rolls with tofu, ugh where is the tofu, it's these little tiny, miniscule pieces. Not good. And it all costs more, why??

after so much eclipse traffic from Houlton, we came in 10 min before closing. the hostess was sooo kind. she seated us. no problem. stay as long as you like, but please order before closing. i had thr red curry. just heavenly. wife had the eggplant. veggies were perfect. this is an awesome gem. the coconut soup was so good. nice quiet, romantic place. love it!!

This place is delicious! I went here with my family on a trip up to Maine on a whim. The restaurant is cozy and welcoming. The food did not disappoint either! Portion sizes were just right and the presentation was unique.

I'll definitely be stopping by here again the next time we are in Maine.

Absolutely delicious!! We LOVED our lunch here at the Thai Orchid. The steamed dumplings, fresh and Siam rolls, drunken noodles, Pad Thai and red curry were all incredible! We almost ordered another round to take home for dinner. So great!

We eat Thai often in San Francisco and this was 5/5 stars and more!

We can't wait to return to the Thai Orchid on our next visit to Ororo!

I've been twice within the past month, dine in and take out. Both were amazing. Take out on yelp, powered by grub hub was fast and seamless. I got there and food was ready! Dine in was also great, food is amazing, cozy atmosphere and staff also great! Must try!

Amazing Thai well beyond curry and pad thai. Chef Sandy delivers real Thai flavors, consistently fresh and the weekly specials are an exploration of the daily foods of Thailand. If you'ge been to Thailand or are planning to go, this is the place for you!

First time here.....what a pleasant surprise!!! Ambience was wonderful, wait staffer was awesome, food was excellent. Pricing is down the middle of the road (okay). Will certain be back again and now on our list of places to go for our weekly "date night".
