Taco Bell

Well, I've driven past this Taco Bell about a 100 times in my life and have never gone in until recently. You always just wanna power through from CA to Reno with no stops...but, kids will change ya. They make you stop every 10 minutes, or at least that's what it seems like.

Anyway, so happy to have stopped into this little gem. First off, it was super clean from the dining area to the bathrooms. Of course, the food is Taco Bell food...so you either love it or don't. I love it, and everything was piping hot and cooked well. I hate it when my quesadilla is like barely grilled and the tortilla has no crunch. They nailed it here. The bean burrito was full of beans and they were so hot, I almost burned my mouth! I'll take that any day when the alternative could be a bean burrito that's semi-solid cause the beans are lukewarm. The whole experience was great, and it held us over til we got back home. Thanks, Truckee Taco Bell, for coming with your "A" game!

Really decent taco bell fare, conveniently located right off the freeway. Plenty of parking space, and take note of how clean the place is.(Impeccable). Service and Food are on par with every other taco bell place. I and a few others even installed tire chain on the lot and nobody from the restaurant gave us any warning. This will be my Go To Stop whenever I drive to Reno.

This review has eyes for one menu item only...the MEXICAN PIZZA. Vegetarians know the past pain of ordering a Mexican Pizza through the drivethru. It used to go something like this: "Mmm, can I get a Mexican Pizza with No Beef" "No Beans?" "No, no Beef?" "Okay, so no Beans.." "No, No MEAT please. Yes to the Beans!" "Ahh, okay! That will be $2.99"

Well, it's no longer the 90's and the 'Bell has simplified what my little teenaged brain failed to grasp - just ask for a VEGGIE Mexican Pizza! The menu offers Veggie and Regular too.

This Taco Bell is clean and organized. You have the option to order through the drivethru or via a kiosk inside. The employees are busy whipping up your food! There's a magnificent soda dispenser - every flavor of Coke, tea, water and assorted flavored drinks.

The Mexican Pizza is now north of $5 but I'm not making just 7.25/hour any longer. While my pockets can afford it, the bod isn't quite so generous. It's a rare and satisfying indulgence to hit up Taco Bell every so often.

This Taco Bell is actually very poorly run. All orders go through the Koski. Ok what ever.... But a man with poor vision and clearly has a walking stick (blind) told me that he could not see the koski to order. So I got the attention of an employee and asked if they would take his order. The employee asked the manager then came back and she told him straight up that she couldn't take his order. The blind man was in disbelief that they wouldn't take his order. Luckily there customers have better service then they do and stepped up and took the man's order. I don't think there manager is very well trained because I believe they are required by Ada to assist anyone with a disability that asks for help. Just asking for a law suit. Hopefully there upper management reads this and corrects the problem.

The worst taco bell I've ever been to. We were here waiting for 30 minutes and they didn't make our food or hand us our drinks. We had to ask for our drinks 15 minutes ago and then asked about our food and then nothing happened, while 4 other people + at least 3, if not more, drive thru people got their food... I asked where our food was and if we could have a gift card for making us wait for 30 minutes and they declined. At this point it's been about 40 and still haven't gotten our food. We wanted something quick on our way back home. Don't come here. Rude staff and dirty looks - "she said she waited an hour?" with snarky attitude talking to one another that I overheard and so I spoke up and said no, I said a HALF hour.
Also, yeah, it's Truckee, but it was freezing inside. Someone else while they were eating also got the wrong order. AND a separate customer said "this place does suck, best of luck to you guys" on his way out. To their credit they asked us if we wanted anything else, like an extra burrito, but we had already ordered a ton of food and didn't need anything else at the time.

When you are in the beautiful mountains around Truckee and Donner, you often want to eat the very best unique and local offerings. But sometimes you just want some good ol' Taco Bell! It was a great option when you have kids, and everyone is hungry and you don't have time to wait and search for a place to eat. They made everything on the menu just how we wanted it. The restaurant was clean and the staff was nice.

First off they mess up my order then when i show them they act like i ordered wrong , my reciept showed exactly what i wanted no tomatoes no lettuce, they gave me both, paid for extra beef didn't get it, no fork for my fiesta taters, overall just a shit place! I'll never come back

Lol. Fast food in Truckee is hit or miss. I get it. There's not a lot of people who want to work here. Every time my boyfriend wants food from here I feel sad. There's no way in hell their hours are 10am-10pm so that needs to be updated. Their hours are more like... Idk, come by and find out if we're open. :) Maybe? Your guess is as good as mine. I guess it's kinda just based on if someone feels like working that day or not? Or maybe if Mercury is in retrograde it affects their hours. Maybe they change their hours based on the moon cycle. Who knows dude. Basically if you go after 4pm it's 50/50 on whether they're open. If you catch them when they are open it usually takes a loooong time to get your food. That doesn't mean your food will be thoroughly cooked or warm tho. Don't get your hopes up. So yeah, kinda defeats the purpose of "fast" food. Workers are rude and act like they're doing you a favor by doing their job. They obviously don't want to be there, totally understandable. The place sucks. I don't want to be there either. A few months ago we went by to get food and I think it took over half an hour. It wasn't busy or anything. If the workers are paid more than $10/hr that's crazy. Seriously blows my mind how people can be so bad at one of the simplest jobs to exist. Think they could use better management or training or a few extra brain cells or the desire to use their limbs or whatever. This place makes average sh*t holes look amazing. One of their entrances is perma-closed so you gotta find a door that's open. I think sometimes they close hella early even when they're still in there because... working sucks I guess. Maybe they're trying to encourage people to eat better. Works for me! I'll never come back lmao

Worst service we've ever encountered. Attempted to use both kiosk's which were broken. Waited 30 min with no acknowledgment from staff. The woman working the cash register should be fired.

Went here on a Monday night about 730pm. Waited for over 10 mins and had four cars behind me before realizing there's no one working. Don't understand why they don't at least put a sign up that says they're closed? Understand being short staffed but at least be transparent that you're not open. Lots of disappointed people including me.
