Staff is amazing. Food is great quality and so fresh. If you want a something better than your regular nachos, this place will blow your mind. Great tacos, salsa, yumm!!!

Brett M.Lake Forest, CA120114May 11, 2024Updated review4 days after my 5 star review they pull this stunt: I order the same thing I usually do, a Grilled Steak Asada Bowl minus the Lettuce, minus the Pico de Gallo, minus the Beans, minus the Guacamole. I ask for Red Enchilada Sauce on top instead. This time I see they charged me $2 extra for the enchilada sauce. Really?!?! You didnt credit me for the lettuce, salsa, beans and guacamole I omitted but you are going to charge me for enchilada sauce?!? That is a horrible choice on your part. I wont be telling ANYONE to go here anymore if you are going to nickel and dime me when I save you money by omitting 4 extra toppings. I hope the money you saved on the toppings I omitted as well as the $2 you charged me for the enchilada sauce was worth the bad reviews and me no longer telling everyone about your food.

Brett, I’m honored to have the opportunity to have our team serve you some amazing food. I am sorry that today’s experience was not what you expected and felt that we were trying to squeeze money out of you. Being a loyal client of ours and sending business our way is way more valuable than a simple dollar to me and our team. For that we are forever grateful. In this case, I agree with you. Removing items that normally belong and are accounted for in the cost and adding another item in my mind and yours, we should not be charged for. However, anytime we make changes to our system there is another added cost of efficiency which most people do not account for. This is why most places you visit, charge for split plates, sides etc. i wish you would have brought it to the attention of the crew how you felt at the time of purchase. I’m sure they would have tried to accommodate you to make sure you are satisfied. If you did not get the answer that would have been satisfactory, please reach out to me direct. I appreciate you and I hope you give us the opportunity to continue being of service to you.

I really hate the nasty steak most of the other "mexican" places try to pass off as carne asada. Taco 900 does it right and gives you a good portion of it as well!
I have fine tuned my orders from here and while I still get the Mexican Wings once in a while, I mostly just order a Grilled Steak Asada Bowl with No Lettuce, No Pico, No Guac, No Beans and have them add red enchilada sauce on top. That leaves Rice, Meat, Cheese and Enchilada Sauce. I also order 2 chicken tacos with nothing but avocado and then mix that in with the bowl with their divine green salsa. Perfect combination and just over $20 total with a Grubhub $4 off special.
Still would like to see sides of limes and cilantro available. ;)Aug 4, 2023Previous reviewI continue to order from here. My go to items have changed and one of the items I almost always get is the Carne Asada Burrito. The flavors all blend together so well with the real skirt steak. But the real sleeper is the Mexican Hot Wings. HOLY ****!!!!!! These are hands down the best wings Ive ever had. The chicken itself is always done right, but that Mexican Chile sauce they put on it is straight up addicting. It burns the hell out of my lips and tongue and something else the next day but I cant get enough of it. I know its going to hurt and I still have to order them when I tell myself im not going to. ;)
I tried the Potato Tacos today but they werent for me. They were too bland for my liking, but thats to be expected. It was 3 tacos with cabbage, sour cream and salsa verde. The potatoes were like a hash brown patty.Nov 3, 2022Previous reviewReally digging this place. Its hard to find a place that has tacos with real skirt steak in it. Im talking the stuff that you can see the grain in the meat not the boiled rounded garbage most mexican places try to pass off as carne asada.
Taco 900 looked like it had the real skirt steak from the photos posted. So I ordered a couple of carne asada tacos, a couple grilled chicken tacos, a couple of carnitas tacos, some chicken flautas and chips and salsa through Grubhub/Doordash.
I had asked for avocado on the tacos instead of guacamole because I cant eat raw onions. They obliged... THANK YOU! I still dont know if the carne asada is legit skirt steak as they goofed up and gave me shrimp tacos instead.
I wasnt a fan of the carnitas, they were way too dry for my taste, but they were edible with the delicious salsas. The big chunks of dried meat were a surprise as I was expecting shredded meat like you see in some of the customer photos.
The chicken tacos were delicious, so full of flavor and went very well with the tomatilla salsa and avocado and will be on future orders I make.
The shrimp tacos were surprisingly good too. I am not a fan of shrimp tacos but the crema they put on them was yummy. Each taco had 3 middle sized shrimp and with the salsa/avo combo they were something I would order again.
The chips and salsa were good but I didnt really need the big tub of salsa they gave because I had plenty from the taco orders. The Tomatilla salsa and the Rojo salsas were so good. I am not a fan of charred salsas but they were done perfectly so the char wasnt overpowering like other places are.
But the sleeper hit item was the Chicken Flautas. They had shredded seasoned chicken in them and were fried to perfection. Not overly crispy and not too soft. Best flautas Ive ever had.
A suggestion that would make the food here even more delicious would be including limes with the tacos. That extra hit of citrus would be so good. Same with some cilantro. Add sides of avocado (not guac), limes and cilantro to your Grubhub/Doordash menus please! Chips without salsa would be nice too so all that extra salsa you guys threw my way wouldnt go to waste! ;)
This would have been a 5 star review if not for the missing tacos which were the whole reason I ordered from here. The carnitas also were a contributing factor to the missing star. I will for sure be back as the chicken items were so flavorful.
David W.Eastvale, CA2362Dec 1, 2023Going downhill, will be my last visit. I think they just want to focus on pizza (should have been a clue that they don't even have a menu or mention mexican food anywhere in the restaurant).
4 tacos is like $20....small, flavoring on the meat OK but not amazing....no onions, no cilantro...salsa felt like it just came out of the freezer (weird ass texture)...bleh

The quality and flavor of their meat is a 10/10 and they provide so many delicious salsas. I'm so happy they offer daily food outside of catering as well, and I'm SO excited to have it again!

Nick J.Mission Viejo, CA424111108Aug 14, 2023The tacos were average and it was pretty confusing because they don't have a menu for Mexican food so you kind of have to order online we didn't know that the owner was there any happening to let us take our order in person but overall confusing food was average. The pizza on the other hand looks really good. I think that place is known for their pizza more than their tacos so it was quite confusing. Overall experience was great management. Staff was nice and good

Not worth $80! I'm going with baja fish, Olive Garden or driving to Santa Ana next time. This place is overpriced wannabe Mexican food. Food is BAD! don't waste your time and money. I let my family down by ordering this terrible food. WTF?! Zucchini spicy salsa, no thank you, it is bad! All bad NEVER EVER AGAIN! don't bother with this place. real Mexicans will definitely agree, this food is terrible. I apologized to my family. I need to get my money back, yes it was that bad.

The food was delicious and the location is convenient. It's a little difficult to find (just look for Pizza 900) and a little tricky to order but it's worth it. Four of us all said we'll be back.
