I visited the park with my two-year-old today and was disappointed to see that many of the playground equipment is broken, destroyed, and vandalized. This made our visit less enjoyable and also posed a safety hazard. I hope that the city or whoever is responsible for maintaining the park will be able to repair the equipment and prevent further vandalism. This would make the park a more enjoyable place for families and children.

Made going to the park a lot less enjoyable I hope that the city or whoever runs this park will be able to remedy the situation so bugs do not keep in the broken pieces of the park and prevent safety hazards fr further occurring.

We love this park so much! There are two separate play structures, one is more suited for older children and one for younger children. There are four swings, two for big kids and two for babies. The super big curly-cue slide on the larger play structure was removed recently. There are still plenty of slides and tunnels though, along with monkey bars and various ladders to climb. There is not a "fireman" pole, much to the chagrin of my son.
A huge plus is that the park is surrounded by several large trees, so it remains pretty well-shaded. There is only a port-a-potty though, which I still count as a plus since it wasn't there a few years ago.
Just be aware that because this park is right next to Willett Elementary school, there are daily influxes of kids, depending on what time you come. The after-school program often comes out here to play.
There is lots of grass surrounding the park. I've been to a birthday party that was hosted here. There are a couple of picnic tables and several benches. If you have dogs, there's an off-leash area.
It's definitely an older park, which is evident by how aged the equipment looks, but my toddler boys still have lots of fun here. As others have mentioned, it's right near the bike path and far enough from the street that you needn't worry about nearby cars.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brianna B.Oakland, CA21819Aug 2, 2018First to Review
Big fun play structure and swings for all ages! Dog off lease area and ample lawn to play soccer, frisbee or fly a kite. I like it's along the bike path too removes from the road.
The only down side is this park does not have a restroom just a sad plastic Porta potty.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
