About the Business
Only at SUSHISAMBA will you find a unique blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine, music and design. SUSHISAMBA is born of the energy and spirit of these three distinct cultures; a tri-cultural coalition that took root in the early 20th century. Thousands of Japanese emigrants traveled to South America's fertile soil to cultivate coffee plantations and find their fortune. In bustling cities like Lima in Peru, and Sao Paulo in Brazil, the integration of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cultures flourished. This cultural phenomenon launched a culinary coup. Hearty moquecas and colorful seviches found a place at the table along side simple miso soup and tender sashimi. SUSHISAMBA serves these traditional dishes, plus more inventive fare, including sashimi seviche, tuna tataki, and our south american beef maki roll. Beating at the heart of every SUSHISAMBA is a deep appreciation for enjoying life and celebrating with friends.

I was prepared to be really impressed but I wasn't..I felt like the views here were a bit obstructed, and the fake tree by the bar (fake orange leaves) was cool and all but didn't make up for everything else. The outside bar area was quite small and not my favorite cocktail bar around.
The drinks were really expensive also at 17 pounds per cocktail, but at least the lychee one did taste really good. Public (at least the group of French people we met) were pretentious talking about how they "work at finance companies you've never even heard of"...eh.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Simona S.Beverly Hills, CA06May 8, 2024

Excellent. One of my most enjoyable moments in London!
Service, great!
Food + drink, great!
Ambience, great!
Views, great!
I tried booking a reservation on a Friday night but clearly I'm not a local because this placed was packed and the reservation needed booking in advance! I was finally able to book a reservation for that following Monday.
I ordered the green bean tempura, the Samba London roll, the chicken teriyaki and the lychee cooler drink. I loved everything! The chicken teriyaki was my favorite. It was cooked to perfection and tasted so good! I think after eating the green bean tempura, I realized I'm not a fan of eating foods that are prepped/cooked this way.
The views, omg they were amazing. I believe I was on the 40th floor! Scary but fun. It was such a perfect start to my day. I definitely have to go back to London and visit this restaurant again! I also want to see what the bar/lounge space is like. It was def crowded and seemed like a good time.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Oct 25, 2022
Epic views, excellent cocktails, energetic vibe, beautifully plated food. The scene at Sushisamba is great for people watching, meeting up with friends, a date night, or just an excuse to get dressed up.
The service was middling. We were seated quickly but we had about 3 different servers, we never knew who to order from, and our drinks and plates sat empty for much longer than expected.
The food was...good, not great. Maybe we're spoiled living in Vegas, but I've had much better sushi in many other places for half the price. I get that I'm paying for the view and the vibe, but the food didn't stand up to either of those. The concepts were great but the execution was just okay. I did love the little dropper of soy/yuzu/other sauce they inserted into one of our rolls (again, great presentation).
If they stepped up the flavors, this place would easily be a 5 but there are lots of places in this city for great views, a vibe, and better food.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - John C.Tallahassee, FL1901615Aug 9, 2023
My visit to Sushi Samba London left me absolutely amazed by the culinary brilliance on display, especially when it came to their Yellowtail Tacos. These tacos were nothing short of phenomenal, a true testament to the creativity and skill of the chefs at Sushi Samba.
The delicate balance of flavors and textures in the Yellowtail Tacos was an unforgettable experience. The succulent yellowtail paired with vibrant ingredients created a harmonious explosion of taste in every bite. The fusion of Japanese and Latin American influences in this dish was executed flawlessly, showcasing a culinary innovation that sets Sushi Samba apart.
The exceptional quality of the Yellowtail Tacos was a reflection of the dedication Sushi Samba has towards delivering an unforgettable dining experience. The combination of remarkable flavors, stylish ambiance, rooftop views, and impeccable service made my visit truly exceptional. If you're a food enthusiast seeking an extraordinary culinary adventure, do not miss the chance to savor the Yellowtail Tacos at Sushi Samba. It's a taste sensation that will leave you craving for more!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rachel C.Radcliffeborough, Charleston, SC636723Aug 30, 2023
Absolutely amazing!! We are visiting from the states and we were blown away by the service, food and ambience. The drinks were delicious, highly recommend the wasabi margarita. I was hesitant at first with it having wasabi in it but it was perfect, slightest bit of spice but delicious. I typically don't eat ribs, however I highly recommend the pork ribs. The flavor was outstanding and quality of the meat was perfect. Both rolls were perfect, Piñagi & Negitoro. Overall, this place was outstanding, highly recommend.

Gorgeous restaurant interior and aerial views of London, but that's about it. Plates are in tapas style with the recommendation of 5-7 dishes shared between two people. For its expensive price, the dishes were mostly subpar, especially the sushi.
-----
Samba London Roll: tuna, salmon, hamachi, avocado, asparagus, onion, hishiho miso, crispy yuba, yuzu dressing (£19).
A disappointing sushi roll with obviously frozen fish and rice that was borderline dry.
-----
Nigiri Omakase: 7 pieces of nigiri (£30).
The fish met a passing enough grade that it was hard to tell whether it was fresh or frozen. Nigiri pieces were small with loosely rice packed similar to the other roll. Certainly not worth its price either.
-----
Mushroom Tobanyaki: poached egg, assorted mushrooms, yuzu soy, garlic chips (£19).
Mushrooms were tender and the egg yolk was runny. The pot had a nice presentation and was savory without being too salty.
-----
Wagyu Gyoza: kabocha puree and sweet soy (£20).
Quality of the beef was decent, and I particularly liked the juices trapped inside the crispy dumpling wrappers. The small plate came with a set of five.

We had a Sunday reservation at 5:30 PM that required a £40 deposit for the two of us. From previous reviews of people being turned away due to their attire, we followed a smart casual dress code. The booking advised arriving five minutes prior to ride the elevator up to the 39th floor of the Heron Tower, where the entrance to the restaurant is located. Guest Wi-Fi is offered but was not working due to an IP configuration failure.
A 13.5% service charge was added to the bill despite there practically being no service. I had originally planned on ordering dessert, but my patience ran out as no server came by fifteen minutes after we had cleared our dishes. Our glass of water was never refilled either. Eventually I managed to flag somebody down and requested the bill, but unsurprisingly, that never came. In the end, we left our seats and requested to directly pay at a counter.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 24, 2022
We were visiting from Canada and this spot was on our list.. definitely a meal to remember drying our trip. The decor, the presentation and the food all was 5/5 the only thing that made me give 4 was service. Our waitress was not the nicest nor the most helpful. We felt somehow unwelcome. The waiters who brought out the food were kind but the one who took our order and was our main waitress wasn't. You would expect a 5 star service in such a spot! We got fried shrimp for appetizer it was very flavourful and good.. all the rolls we ordered were unique and fresh. Dessert was a delight to look at, explore and eat..
