Q:
Anyone know if this place has closed down? Their tel # rings to being disconnected.
A:
They're no longer open for lunch & closed on Tuesdays & Wednesdays, so you need to call during evening business hours.

Do you only served omakase during dinner? Can we order chirashi?
A:
Chirashi is also available during dinner! But only the premium and platinum ones. Lunch menu has more options and is more affordable.

My wife and I recently celebrated our 1 year anniversary at [restaurant name]. From the pictures and the price, we had high expectations for the experience. Unfortunately, upon arriving, we were a bit disappointed to find that the atmosphere wasn't quite what we were expecting. However, the staff went above and beyond to make our evening special by providing a private corner and setting up candles, making it feel like we were in our own little bubble.
The service we received was exceptional and I give it a 5-star rating. The food, unfortunately, did not live up to the same standards. While the chef's menu was enjoyable, it felt like it had been refrigerated and not necessarily fresh. We felt that the quality of the food did not match the level of service we received.
Overall, it was a memorable evening and we appreciate the effort made by the staff to make it special. Despite some of the shortcomings in the food, I would still recommend this restaurant for the excellent service and unique dining experience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lora M.Shoreham, MI012Dec 30, 2023
The service was amazing. The food even better. From the moment we entered we were greeted with enthusiasm and graciousness.
Each course came with an explanation and unique presentation. They offered to explain anything we might not understand and never made us feel rushed. Quality food and quality service.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 7, 2024
Came here for their omakase, which was a pretty good deal ($49 pp). We got here for a 7 pm reservation and shortly after the place was pretty full, booth and bar seating. They only had one waiter going around so service wasn't great but makes sense when they're 8 tables.
The omakase itself was good for the price, you get a lot of food including appetizers, hand rolls and dessert. If you're looking for a casual omakase place without breaking the bank, I'd recommend checking them out.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 17, 2023
We live on Sawtelle so we frequently go here when I crave good sushi. They recently changed the concept in which they only have 3 choices in the menu and all omakase. If you want more sushi you can just order more in the end.
I feel that you get the value for your money and the sushi are of great quality. The only thing that I wish they'll change is the Nori they use. It's not crispy and in the end it's hard to bite into it.
We really love this place and I highly recommend it.
P.s. some if the pictures are from their old concept.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Robin Y.Los Angeles, CA487440May 16, 2024

The sushi here was so well priced and fresh! We got the Tokyo set for $89. The food was very filling and the fish was high quality. We came on a Thursday evening and there were a fair amount of people even when we walked in right when they opened. The sushi chef is very energetic and the service is fantastic - our waitress proactively remade my green tea when the ice melted.
Love this place! If I lived in LA I would be a regular here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 6, 2023
WHEN: Sun @12:30pm
I was walking along Sawtelle hoping to find a "cafe" I can sit and do a bit work. I saw a cute patio seating with as sign that reads: "PATIO BAR OPEN FOR DRINKS: No Food Purchase Necessary"
I thought, PERFECT! And sat down. I was brought the drink menu and realized what they meant for "drinks" are their fine alcoholic options. Luckily on the last page is the non-alcoholic options, which I got:
ICED MATCHA - $5
Clearly made with the powdered kind and served over ice. Not sweet but quite refreshing.
I clarified with the waitress if it was okay that I just order tea and work a bit, and if not I could leave. She said it was up to me and that she just doesn't have a to-go cup for my beverage like a cafe would. I said it was fine.
I hung out for about 1.5 hours, and was given the bill when I finished my beverage. This patio seating was so lovely, I such a great time to myself.
Sorry this review does not reflect any of their amazing looking foods. One of these days I shall dine here.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 1 - Bianca D.PALOS VERDES PENINSULA, CA15112Apr 9, 2024
Excellent, freshly made sushi, and great service. We got one of their specials and the quality and variety of little dishes was amazing.

Came here with some friends for my bday celebration and had a fabulous time! Extremely affordable omakase starting at only $50 and very quality fish. You get a full course meal with an appetizer, 9 nigiris, and dessert! Each nigiri was seasoned well and exceptionally fresh. Looking forward to the next time I'm in LA and can come dine here again!
