I am convinced this is the best sushi at the price anywhere in OC. The quality is amazing and menu is diverse. Highly recommend

Second time here, and the food is consistently great. Fresh & real crab.
My favorite secret stop.
Tempura is always perfect.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jun 29, 2023Previous reviewThe sushi is soooo good, right amount of rice to fish. We also has rolls and tempura, thanks to recommendations from a reviewer on NewsBreak (Igor) we came here, and we live near here for over 8 years. A hidden gem.

I'll just talk about the sushi. Interesting choice for proportion of fish to rice to wasabi to Green onion sauce. It was fresh, generous, and tasty. Also enjoyed the spider roll with its innards of carrot and crab. The tempura was fresh, hot, and eaten quickly. Bob appetite mon amis.
Service was very good and unobtrusive. A hard combination.
Why not a five you ask? After I thought about it I realized it's a dang fine place to enjoy sushi.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Neta N.Costa Mesa, CA01Mar 18, 2024
We came in on a Wed night around 8:30 since we knew they would close at 9:30. When we came in before we were sat the hostess mentioned they're closing at 9 which surprised me, but we were already there and my partner and I work in retail/food so we were going to make it quick. We ordered the following..
Yellowtail sashimi: I believe it was $25 dollars for this which was alarming, but we gave it the benefit of the doubt and thought it might be a whole in the wall (we quickly glanced at the 4.5 star rating on google w/o realizing those reviews were years old) the yellowtail wasn't very flavorful or anything special, but what was really disappointing was the fact that our sashimi was served on plates with ice that were Saran wrapped on top. If I'm going to pay close to $30 for sashimi I would hope it would not be served on Saran Wrap.
Bluefin tuna: This was $26 and also served on Saran Wrap which was heavily disappointing. The portion for this was a little larger and was actually pretty decent flavor and freshness, but the cuts were not that clean changing the texture of the sashimi.
Double spicy tuna: I believe that's what the roll was called. It was very mid and wasn't memorable.
Baked mussels: These came out last, but were tiny since they were overcooked.
When I went to the restroom there was a woman in the hallway who obviously hit some sort of vape or pen since I could see the smoke lingering in the light.
Overall our bill came out to $90 which is appalling since the ambiance of the place, food quality and service is just not there. We ended up getting food afterwards since we were still hungry. I would not waste your money here!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Billy N.Anaheim, CA1572712Nov 26, 2023
Happy with the sushi: good flavor. No complaints. Would eat here again. The oysters are a favorite item.

New to town and finally found my go to sushi spot. Food was amazing, saki and beer refreshing. We walked in with no wait but within 20-30 minutes the restaurant filled up. No need for extra review frills - this is THE SPOT!

Sushi was way over priced for what it was , the OMG roll was the worst sushi I've ever had. I never leave reviews but would not come back here

Excellent spot to have some fresh sushi from. Mann, customer service was great, everyone was friendly and talkative and the food was even better. Not a big place but felt like home. Quality of the sushi was 8/10 which in my book is dayum good.
