I had to book this location off previous reviews and take a chance. I was greeted by front desk Ms Ciara, she was detailed oriented, personable and remembered me calling and saying I would be late check I. around 11pm and when I arrived at 9:45pm she said you not late she helped me with a few things that I needed and did
not have due to traveling. Her energy was everything she is management material at minimum. very helpful. however my room another thing. I have allergies and I bring my own stuff to clean but what appeared to be dog hair through out the room from toilet to shower and floor was a
lot. I was exhausted so I did not complain because front desk was so nice and I know she didn't clean the room. so I chalked it up sprayed my Lysol prayed and went to sleepHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 11, 2024
We spent one night at the Sleep Inn in Baton Rouge. It appears to have been recently refurbished or is relatively new, and is in a group with 2 other hotels. Check- in took awhile without obvious reason.
Our first floor king room was surprisingly comfortable, with adequate space, 2 nightstands, lamps with AC plugs, fridge and microwave. Our fridge had a functional freezer compartment. The commode and shower area were separated from the sleeping area by a quiet pocket door. The shower was good; towels were thin but absorbent.
Unfortunately, the room's sound insulation was lacking, so we heard sound from the room above and from the hallway.
The parking area was well lit, and there are at least 3 entrances: one into the lobby, another into the breakfast room and a third into the vending/ice area. Key cards are needed for entry into all but the lobby.
The breakfast room was clean and bright. Breakfast was passable. There were fried eggs, biscuits, and sausage patties, waffle maker, juices, cereal, coffee, muffins, and yogurt. The coffee was little more than brown water.
For the price, Sleep Inn was just OK.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Julia R.Midtown Village, Philadelphia, PA013Jan 2, 2024
SKETCHY & DIRTY. Sorry to leave this. Ladies at counter were nice & understanding. Remote had white dried sh!t on it. Same with the fridge and clock. Shower wasn't cleaned. Just basic cleaning wasn't done. First thing I noticed when I came in. Also being a 5 foot tall female this place was sketchy af! 2 dudes sat outside my room in parking staring in at us. So many things wrong here. Felt very uncomfortable & gross.

A few years later I have returned to this Sleep Inn and my review is largely the same. The wonderful staff remains professional and the room quality has not changed. It looks like they have cracked down on the parties as my stay was a very quiet one. The Internet service is less reliable than my last visit.
Due to COVID-19, the self-service breakfast is not available during my stay. Instead, patrons have a choice of breakfast sandwiches and muffins they can pick up in the morning to eat in their rooms. Coffee, juice, and tea are still available for self-service.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Nov 2, 2017Previous reviewSpent a weekend at Sleep Inn and had a great stay! The room was quite small but was clean, comfortable, and up to date. Parking is spacious and clean. There is reliable WiFi and a decent continental breakfast in the morning. Coffee and tea are available all day.
Staff is friendly and courteous. There is a security guard on staff at night.
The walls, however, are quite thin and neighbors can be noisy if they are having an event like a party. The shower door does not have a seal around it so it will leak onto the bathroom floor.
Overall, this Sleep Inn provides a good value and I'd definitely consider staying here again! - Racquel V.Ville Platte, LA211046Jan 19, 2023
Had to be in Baton Rouge for one night I had a Dr Appointment, The receptionist was very nice and courteous, The room was clean and comfortable I was hoping for a bath tub, but there was a very large shower, breakfast was available I didn't eat as I am not a early morning person. If I had to go to Baton Rouge again I'd definitely stay here again!

Hotel Clerk friendly and helpful. Room is tiny. I can see the hallway through the edge of the door because it won't close shut. There's hair in the sink and I wear shoes to walk around room because flood is dirty. One of the pillows smells like mens aftershave but what do you expect for a room that costs less than 100 bucks.

The lobby was all neat and nice. We were greeted upon entering and the night clerk was very polite and prompt. Checking in was smooth and quick.
Oh my goodness this room small as hell for $90 a night!!!! I could not believe my eyes about the size. Trust me if we were not in town on short noice for my grandmothers funeral we would have booked the Hilton as usual. Sadly everyone was full for tonight.
I have OCD like a mug so you know I had to turn down the sheets and check the mattresses every thing. I read recent reviews and heard they had bedbugs before and we WERE NOT having it. To my like everything was good and no sign of any unwanted guest. Lol
For the short amount of hours of rest I slept very well and comfortably. The free breakfast made up for the short comings of the room. They had a real breakfast complete with biscuits, bacon, ham, waffles, toast, eggs, fresh fruit and juices.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Gina S.Tupelo, MS0394Oct 6, 2022
I booked this hotel online without really knowing much about the area. The second I saw the street it was located on I started to feel uneasy. Once we got to the parking lot it was almost completely empty, which was another red flag. I got checked in, our room was on the second floor, and the hallway was so dark that it felt like anyone could be hiding out. The room was old and smelly. The worst part was when I took a shower, and they only had COLD water. We felt so uncomfortable that we ended up checking out only after an hour, and going to another hotel just right outside of Baton Rouge. This hotel was a complete disappointment, and I had no idea this part of town had gone downhill so badly the past several years. This is not a place to stay for women traveling alone.

This hotel has the fastest internet I've ever had at a hotel! I thought my speed test app was broken for minute... but wow.
Clean room, comfortable bed. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful.
Super easy to get to off I-10, too.
Would definitely stay here again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ashley G.Metairie, LA06Feb 19, 2021
Second awful hotel I stayed in lately. I'm a RN and I live an hour from here. I didn't was to risk any bridge closures from this winter storm or having to drive on ice so I booked two nights in advance through Priceline. Priceline was having a deal where they showed you 3 hotels and for one price, if you went to check out. They will randomly select you to one of those hotels. Of course I got the cheapest option of those 3 hotels. You don't know which one you will get until after you checkout and it's non-refundable. Ironic. The second I walked into the hotel, you smelled weed. Strongly. Come to find out that it's coming from the room next to me. It was seeping into my room the entire night. It's a non-smoking hotel, you even sign a form about not smoking in any form in the hotel. Yes I did inform her the next morning. She said she was going to walk down the hall since you can also clearly smell it in the hall too. She also said she was going to ask them to leave. When I came back at 7pm. They were still parked there smoking a joint next to their car. So obviously she did nothing about it. The room was not clean and the shower was gross at the bottom. I ended up putting a towel at the bottom of the shower so I wasn't standing on it. Then reading the reviews about bed bugs and etc on here, I'm really grossed out.
