Took a while but I came back and tried the blackened chicken! It was excellent. Chicken was very juicy and seasoned to perfection!

This had great reviews so I thought I would try it. First off no one greets you when you walk in and I stood there for a while before anyone even acknowledged me. The 4 employees looked overwhelmed. The restaurant isn't very clean and the kitchen is open and very messy. I ordered a Skrimp basket with Mac and cheese. I was very disappointed on the portions for the price. The shrimp was very small and not worth it. The Mac was similar, very small for the price. The breading tastes like very old fry oil. I should have ordered grilled. I will not return and I am trying to figure out what others see in this place

I ordered the shrimp in a basket, it came with fries. The service was prompt and it came with a drink. Drinks are self serve. After your meal is made they call out your name and you pick it up from the counter. They have the option to dine in or carry out. The lighting is a little dark for me. Overall a great experience, a little pricey but everywhere is.

Located in a strip mall. Kinda small. But neat & clean. Staff is very nice & friendly. Food is served in a plastic basket lined with paper. The food....OH MY! Served very hot. Very tasty. Large portions. Should have taken a picture, but I was hungry and dove into it. Great value for the prices.

Let's paint a picture I just got promoted and I decided to go get some fast food & wouldn't you know out of all of the places I could've gone, I decide to go to skrimp shack and I have to say that I want my $17 back I wanted nice classic seafood and got bland, greasy, and dirty tasting shrimp and fries and hushpuppies the service could have been better everyone just seemed unhappy and dissatisfied with life and I'm pretty sure a quarter of them were sick by the way they sounded oh and ambiance Well if you like the ambience of a dirty unwashed school lunch room then you got it everything from the unclean soda fountains, sticky floors, and off type smell then you're in the right place frankly the whole place is a health-code violation I regret eating all the stuff they gave me to try and get my "moneys worth" and now I'm pretty sure that im going to catch some unknown sickness from victorian Europe. So honestly, the best part of the building is the exit.

We over-ordered! I got shrimp for 6 which turned out to be a 40-piece fried, and a small catfish basket. Although we tried to finish it and not waste the wife and I threw the towel in. The restaurant has no lemons which killed the vibe. The food was atomic hot and fresh but lacked the flavor I am used to from down south. The pre-packaged cocktail and tartar sauces were what you would expect from a package.

The Food was amazing and the owner was very courteous and welcoming. I live in Charles Town but try to make it here as often as possible.

I love this place but was super disappointed on a Sunday at 6:40 I tired to call to just order hush puppies. It was 20 minutes before closing. I get there 15 minutes before closing and the door is locked and the staff are inside cleaning the floors. Kind of felt rude to me. I understand the staff wants to go home on a Sunday but they should plan to stay open until closing time.

Skrimp Shack in Winchester was our first visit to this chain. It's an interesting seafood twist on fast-food counter service restaurants. "Skrimp" stands for shrimp in the chain's lexicon. To stand from similar shrimp named restaurants, I suppose. Both my wife and I ordered Baskets. Mine was with Catfish Nuggets. They were interesting, something like chicken nuggets, but, of course made from catfish. They were quite good, a lots of them! Baskets come with a drink and a side. My wife hd the traditional Skrimp (shrimp) basket with a side of Fried Okra. My side was French Fries. We also ordered an extra side of Hush Puppies to share.

We ordered inside for take-out. Drinks are filled from the soda machine. Hand sanitizer was provided. I'd definitely try Skrimp Shack again. Maybe the Fish Tacos next time.
