Shrimp Basket

The GM is so kind as well as the entire staff. Great food and very clean. We drove out of our way to come to this location!!

Average at best. Terribly expensive for what it is. I was hoping it would be better. Mediocre shrimp, yucky oysters and horrible fries. I'll never go back. Worst value in Cullman.

I grew up on the coast and have had crab claws many many times. We ordered them tonight and noticed as soon as they were brought to the table they were overcooked. My husband said he smelled ammonia as soon as they were put on the table, but I didn't smell it until I took the first bite. We told the waiter who took it back and took it off of our check. Then a lady who appeared to be the manager came out to tell us nothing was wrong with the crab claws. She said they got them in Thursday and they always smell bad, but nothing is wrong with them. I have never smelled ammonia on seafood before. I confirmed with my family that is still in the shrimping/fishing business who say they smell that way when they're old and typically you get sick quickly. I'm glad we didn't eat more than 1-2 pieces each. They did take them off of our check, but made sure to charge us $2 for a cup of water.

Oyster PO Boy was solid. We also ordered the gumbo and was good, not great.
We will be back next time we are close.

Broccoli was cooked perfect. The other basket had fries, no ketchup. But everything was hot and very tasty!

I was traveling in an RV and pulling a trailer behind and found this place and decided to give it a try. They had a great spot to pull right into with our large vehicle which was really nice. The place wasn't super busy and we were seated right away. Our servers name was Sidni and she was very attentive and got our drinks right away. I got a coastal margarita and it was pretty tasty. If you like citrus/orange this is a great drink to try!
Our food order didn't take long at all to come out and it was all hot and fresh. I had the creole shrimp salad roll and fries and the fries were delicious. Piping hot and crispy and tasted really good dipped in their signature hot sauce. The shrimp salad was very flavorful and loaded with shrimp. It had a nice crunch to it from the celery and the roll was toasted so it had a bit of crunch to it as well as being nice and chewy. The manager came out and asked how it was so I had to let him know it was delicious. He told us it was a new item they were trying out that had a bit of a lower price range to help combat the inflation of food costs. I told him I'd definitely try it again if I was ever in this area.
Overall it was a really great dining experience. Great service and delicious food. Everyone in my party was very pleased.

Ate there last Friday night. There were 4 of us Auburn served us. Food and drink was great Auburn was very attentive told us special on drinks and appetizers. Food came out hot and delicious. We will be going back there again.

I'm a big seafood eater. Love it. I was craving oysters so I thought I would give this a try. When your dealing with something raw you have to handle it and prepare it care because there are so many ways that one serving can go wrong and this was wrong on every level. First off your supposed to clean the oysters on the outside. These still had sand and grit on the and a big smudge on the plate from them which didn't have ice to keep them cool. Which I did eat two but those were the only ones that looked 1/4 way of being appetizing. The others looked like it had the grit in it so I didn't eat it. Also thought I would get food poising if I did eat them.. I'm going to to the beach next week so hoping to get some fresh ones.
When I got my main plate which was shrimp basket the turnips where ok better then the ones out of a can that I've tried but still not up to par. The hush puppies are a little over cooked. The corn nugget was just that a corn nugget. But the shrimp was the star of the meal. Not over cooked but a little to greasy and all of it was on the bottom and mad my bottom shrimp get soggy.
Oh and before anyone says your not suppose to eat oysters in any month other then ones with r. That's 4000 years old when nobody had refrigeration!!

First time eating here and overall I was pretty happy with my meal. The service was good, the atmosphere was nice and the food was not bad. I say not bad instead of good or great because I had the crab cake platter. The portion was very generous with four crab cakes but the crab cakes were made with a lot of filler/breadcrumbs and the crab was minced really fine. I like to see big chunks of crab. As for the hush puppies, I know they should be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside but these were hard to the point I was scared they were going to fly off the plate as I pushed my fork into them. Everything else, the salsa, shrimp slaw, new potatoes I had as my side were all really good. The beers were cold and the key lime pie had a good tang to it. If someone was to ask me if I wanted to eat here again my answer would be yes, there are a lot of other items on the menu I want to try and I am certainly not going to write them off just because I wasn't a fan of their crab cakes.

Food was good but if you want to waste 30 to 40 minutes on waiting on a drink or a waitress or waiter this is your spot
