Love this place, but don't come here if you are in a rush. People are really friendly, but service is slow. And you mainly come here to sit on their covered and uncovered patio overlooking a beautiful park area.
The Do's:
1) Specials
2) BLT with a salad. The side salads are large enough for a small meal.
3) There is a sandwich with turkey, bacon, blueberry jam, and blue-cheese special. Besides the blue-cheese - it is amazing.
4) Simple meat and Cheese Boards. They aren't very large though.
5) Spiked Slushies
This is a simple place with mainly salads and sandwiches with some good beer + a patio - what isn't there to like about it!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Dayna A.Fair Grove, MO123105105Jul 22, 2017
This is a great spot to have lunch or a little mid-day refreshment. This was my second visit here, and I came with my teen-age sons, after using our creative juices on some pottery at nearby Firehouse Pottery. The boys really enjoyed it, and even though it was blazing hot, and the only seating was outside, we were very comfortable under the umbrella, with the mist fan cooling us from behind.
I was also here for one of their Saturday night events with the live music of Shaun Munday. The place was PACKED, food was good and they were able to make a gluten-free sandwich for me. I was impressed!
My only complaint is that both times, I spent a fair amount of time dodging smoke and swatting at flies and other biting bugs. I hope they have plans for an inside venue at some point.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Bradley R.Springfield, MO15294252Aug 22, 2016
Stopped in for lunch and really happy I did.
Was seated outside, I think maybe that's the only option. Drink order was promptly taken and menu delivered. Lots of garden/fresh options. No burgers here. Salads, beers, and deluxe sandwich items. I went for the BLT. Toasted sour dough bread, basil mayo, romaine, tomatoes and peppered bacon. For a side I had the veggie cup.
The BLT was very good indeed. Crispy bread, salty bacon, and the basil mayo really worked together. Veggie cup was nice too.
Lots of signs showing free music nights. May just have to come back and check it out.
The Good.
Great Flavor on the BLT
Veggie cup was a nice alternative to chips
Friendly service
Fun outdoor seating
The Bad
Flies like their food too
Not a quick lunch option 35-40 min
The Ugly
Nada. No issues here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - April W.Springfield, MO4413679Apr 1, 2017
I have been wanting to eat here for such a long time and I'm so mad at myself for not making time sooner. The food is DELICIOUS. The staff is friendly and the prices are fair. What a nice casual atmosphere to relax and dine.

Fantastic food, but expect on paying a premium for their sandwiches.
I had the Peugot, she had the Bianchi. I would recommended the Peugot if you are not a meat eater- it was delicious. She said hers was great as well. I also enjoyed the veggie cup as the side, although something as a dip (perhaps hummus) would be nice, and the raw asparagus was uniquely refreshing, but half of the cup was un-skinned carrots. Would be nice if they were skinned (or at least thoroughly washed) and perhaps more of everything else and less carrots. There may not be a place for a fryer inside as it looks like a fairly small kitchen, but I would have appreciated the option of some freshly cut fries to go with the sandwich and beer.
The beer selection was a little small, and they had no pale ales, and only one ipa. The server didn't seem to know her beers, which is odd as this place seems to be billed as primarily as a beer pub that rents bikes. I got excited when I saw an Odell's wall tacker up as its one of my favorite breweries, but they didn't offer any of their beers. The menu only lists brewery and name of beer, so unless you are very familiar with the random beers they offer, you're clueless what the beer is actually going to be without asking the server 20 questions. I would encourage the owners to at least list the type of beer (ipa, lager, wheat, etc) as well as abv, ibu.
The more info the better:)
Seating is outside, and it's beautiful. We sat in the back under trees and it was quite peaceful and refreshing. They are VERY dog friendly with advertising for a dog park (although this claimed area is not contained at all... maybe a fence is coming?) and they will even bring a bowl of water out for your pup. Great if you're a dog lover, even if you're not bringing yours. 2 neighboring tables had dogs, and one lady even had a ferret. Fun to watch. Location and atmosphere 5/5.
I spent almost 40 dollars on 2 sandwiches and 2 beers, with tip. I always tip well if the service is good (and it was great except for the limited beer knowledge) but this is quite a bit more than I was expecting to fork over. I realize as the location has all outside seating it must be a seasonal business plan and prices are reflective of that, but most will not return with prices so high.
I will be back, and despite a few shortcomings, I rate this new Galloway restaurant very highly. It won't be a place I can enjoy regularly as the prices are a little high for the product, but it is a nice treat nonetheless.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lisa S.Springfield, MO3213Sep 20, 2015
Great venue. Love the patio they added to the old Emack and Bolio's location. Sandwiches are a little expensive but the table next to us ordered a salad and it was HUGE! Very cute idea. Would like to rent a bike next time.

This is a great little lunch spot. We didn't drink, but there were plenty of options. I had the Tandem sandwich. The flavors combined well. I wish there was more meat on the sandwich. Nonetheless, it was tasty. The bacon provided good texture. It came with vegetables and dip. I'm not usually a fan of ranch, but the addition of the dill made it tolerable. The food is a good value for the price. The atmosphere is quaint. You feel like you're at someone's house.
