Screamin' Jack’s BBQ & More

As we pulled up to the restaurant, I became skeptical but Yelp rarely lets me down. It has happened twice in a week. Screaming' Jacks is definitely one that I greatly disagree with, on the ratings. When we sat, our waitress did promptly come and take our drink order. I asked what she recommended and she said, "to be honest we are out of most things bc we just got a truck in and everything is frozen". I was surprised that a bbq place stated most things were of frozen variety. We ordered mediocre, frozen cheese sticks. My kids ordered burgers and said they were "ok". I was afraid of anything so ordered okra and pinto beans. The pinto beans were delivered luke warm. Okra was meh. Hubs ordered the special which was fried fish. It was unseasoned, but at least it was hot. KEEP DRIVING TO THE NEXT OPTION!!

Oh, there were many flies. The guy at the table next to us covered his drink with a napkin and poked his straw through it.

First, the single waitstaff person was outstanding. She was run ragged taking care of all the tables and the takeout business. She stayed calm and polite and was all around excellent.
The food was so-so. It came out of the kitchen cold.

WHAT ON EARTH IS THE BLACK POOL OF WATER WITH KOI IN IT STRUGGLING TO LIVE????? Good Lord! I don't mean the water is brown. I don't mean it is gray. I mean it is BLACK like INK and the blackness penetrates to the bottom of the pool. Glints of gold show through, attesting to the koi in the pool. Is the owner aware that koi are living beings? That they have to try to breath in that water? WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS CRUELTY? WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS DISGUSTINGNESS RIGHT BESIDE THE CHECKOUT COUNTER???

FIX IT OR REMOVE IT. This is inhumane, unconsciounable, and disgusting.

BBQ! Yes. Slow down and take the Sayre OK exit and stop for a bite of BBQ. Great sampler and three BBQ sauces...and a pulled pork/bbq sausage sandwich to share. BBQ sauces were flavored with peach and spices. Homemade ranch dressing was good. For a regional treat, I recommend this place. Friendly service too.

Today we had the daily special...chickenfried steak mash potatoes and Bake beans or corn. Come with a drink and desert!

Not often do I come across such a pleasant surprise, especially when it comes to BBQ. But I'm sure glad we stopped at Screamin Jacks.

Stay with me here, but I ordered the smoked chicken Alfredo. I know it seems strange but the more I thought about that combination, the more I knew I had to try it. Needless to say, I loved it! I mean, truly loved the dish! So good. Kate had a salad and she loved hers as well. We also got a pound of brisket to go and it was delightful. I even bought a hat!

The place is clean, plenty of room, and reasonably priced. I was super impressed and am glad I now have found a place to stop and eat on my I-40 travels. I will be stopping by to make my way through their rather large menu, each time I drive by.

Man, Oklahoma knows their BBQ.

Everything we got today was amazing, it's hard to single out any component in particular, it was all so delicious.

At a push, you could say the smoked chicken was the best, we weren't even adding the bbq sauce to it, it already had so much flavor.

Definitely worth the detour to find this place.

Based on the positive reviews, I was excited to try this place on a recent overnight stop in town. However, the reality of the food was a big letdown. The brisket was dry and not very flavorful and the Mac and cheese side was mostly tasteless and mushy.

Missed coming here on my first time through Sayre so made sure to stop on my second. Fast, friendly service, and WiFi. I had the chicken enchilada soup and BBQ beans. Pure money.

The food is amazing!!! Traveled from NY to California and this place is 5-stars! The waitress was friendly and helpful in suggestions for sides. Price is unbelievable for the quality of food and size of portions you get. I will definitely recommend this place and be back!

Nice waitress and pretty cool environment. We were just passing through but if we were to go that route again I will be sure to stop by. Food was delicious
