Schmul Playground

Not many people know that this park has handball courts but this is where all the good players play (good players as in SI standards not Brooklyn or Manhattan haha)!

The only unfortunate thing is that there's one wall, so two sides to play. It'll take a while to get a lot of games in with just two walls :( and there were a lot of gnat-like bugs flying around, no mosquitoes though so bring bug spray!

Other than that, the courts are great. The place is kept clean. They're surrounded by an oval-shaped fence so the ball isn't hard to retrieve once you hit it out. It'll eventually come back to you lol. The wall is in good condition; no cracks on it or the floors. Lines are clear.

Definitely one of the best places to play on Staten Island.

Great playground for small kids. The entire area is set on wavy colorful soft material. Seems like it's made out of recycled rubber. It is completely enclosed with plenty of benches. It boarders nice basketball and handball courts and further on there is one baseball field that is in poor shape. At least when I was there, there were kids riding motorized bikes and adults running heavy duty remote controlled cars.
