No , it's ready to eat , it's just in an incredibly small container for an incredibly large price . Disappointingly, they used to be very fair , not any more

      Late lunch with the kids.
Oh the food was so good.
Although it took awhile to get the order to the table, but it was so worth the wait !
Will definitely come back with friends.

We live a few blocks away and get takeout from here often!

Recommend: chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and tandoori chicken.

We've driven past here for a couple of years now.

We finally decided to stop in. Now wish we'd done it sooner.

The ambiance is a little cold and sparse, as was the staff for the most part. That is the only reason I couldn't get to 5 stars, as the food would warrant it. That said, there were glimpses of good hospitality and our daughter certainly enjoyed the Bollywood videos playing on loop!

The food was pretty uniformly great. We had the vegetarian feast - including dal makhani, saag paneer, aloo gobi, plus unsweetened chai and dessert.

The naan was buttery, salty and pillowy fresh. It was the highlight for this gluten adorer.

The dal was the weakest link, being a little bland but still better than many I've had.

We certainly won't be able to drive by without stopping in for the next couple of years.

Last evening, I had the pleasure of dining at Sargam Indian Cuisine, and it was an experience that tantalized my taste buds like never before. The restaurant's warm ambiance (and fun Indian Pop music playing on the TV) set the stage for a delightful meal that was both authentic and innovative.

The Sag Paneer was great. The homemade cheese melted perfectly into the spiced creamed spinach, creating a harmony of flavors that was both rich and comforting. Paired with fluffy naan, each bite was a delightful blend of textures.

The Chicken Tikka Masala stood out with its perfectly cooked chicken tikka kebab immersed in a mildly spiced gravy. The boneless chicken curry was succulent and flavorful, striking a perfect balance with the spices. The naan served alongside was the perfect vehicle for savoring the gravy.

A surprising delight was the Fish Pakora. The fish cubes, encased in a chickpea batter, were deep-fried to golden perfection. Each bite offered a crispy exterior giving way to tender, flavorful fish within.

Similarly, the Vegetable Pakora was a vegetarian's delight. The mix of vegetables dipped in chickpea batter and deep-fried was crunchy, savory, and utterly satisfying.

The Onion Naan and Garlic Naan were noteworthy. Stuffed with spiced fresh garlic, they were fragrant and flavorful, making them ideal companions to the curries.

To complement the meal, the Taj Mahal Beer was a perfect choice. This Lager, with its subtle malt aromas and spicy hops, was light and crisp. It paired wonderfully with the Indian dishes, especially the Sag Paneer and Chicken Tikka Masala, enhancing the overall dining experience.

In conclusion, Sargam Indian Cuisine isn't just about food; it's an exploration of India's rich culinary landscape. The harmony of flavors, the attention to detail, and the impeccable service made this dining experience memorable. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic Indian cuisine experience.

After years of driving past Sargam, my spouse and I finally came in tonight for dinner. I started with a hot chai tea (7/10 light flavor). We ordered the lamb samosas and the vegetable pakoras to start and they were super crispy and delicious! I normally don't like lamb for its gamy taste but theirs were extremely flavorful and could've passed for beef. For entrees we had their sag paneer (spicy 8/10) with rice and their chicken tikka masala curry (mild, 100/10 so good and flavorful!). Their garlic naan was crispy but soft and had a perfect amount of garlic to butter ratio. We both agreed it was the best we've ever had! The food blew us away but their ambiance and service made our experience great. We will be back for their lunch buffets to try more of the menu!

I was in the area running a couple of weeks ago to do some errands, and I saw this. I didn't know this existed, and I never had an opportunity to go until yesterday. I love Indian food, and it had been a long time since I had any. The food was pretty good. I liked the fish pakora, tandoori chicken, and the tikki masala. The naan was also really nice and crispy, but it's too bad the lunch buffet menu seemed limited and/or small. I would've liked to have had a chicken biryani or a lamb samosa. The lunch buffet is self-serve, but the workers were really good about getting you water and whatever other drinks you you want. The noise level is ok. I liked listening to the Indian music as I ate, because it would've otherwise too quiet inside. Definitely a 3.5-4 star place.

      Updated review

My wife and I simply LOVE the buffet here... and we are SO HAPPY that they reopened the buffet as of 6/2/23!!! (They had closed it during Covid)
The staff, service and food are still excellent. There is a wide variety of items to choose from, and everything is fresh. The naan here is outstanding as well as their chai tea.
We are very happy to come here again! They raised the buffet price slightly to $19.95 per person, but trust me it's worth the increase.

Thank you for reading my review!

Lunch buffet everyday!! 11 AM - 3 PM for $20!

If you love having a selection of Indian dishes to choose from, without committing to ordering entrees a la carte, this is the option for you.

My first time here so not sure if the buffet offerings differ day to day or weekend vs. weekday, but this is what we had to try on a Sunday:

      Fish tikka masala
      Chicken tikka masala
      Chicken Biriyani
Saag paneer (creamed spinach with chunks of paneer cheese)
      Matar mushroom (peas and mushrooms)
      Eggplant curry
Pakora curry (creamy yogurt based curry with fried veggie pakoras)
      Tandoori Chicken and fish
Fried vegetable pakora w/ random fried veggie spring rolls
      Samosas
      Garden Salad
      Watermelon
      Assorted Chutneys

      Dessert:
      Carrot pudding
      Kheer

Naan is included, they'll bring you a basket to your table. They don't ask you what flavor you'd like before they automatically bring you a basket of plain naan so I don't know if garlic was an option :( The naan is super fresh and clearly made to order. If you run out, you can request more. The waiter we had seemed a little clueless about what to do though, as he didn't bring us any water until the hostess reminded him. There weren't a lot of diners, just a couple families and 2 other couples. We had a hard time communicating (can we have more naan, can I have a new spoon, etc) and he had to grab the hostess to help. The hostess casually walked around the dining room and in between tables, observing diners, so it was a bit awk but also helpful in case we needed to ask her anything.

The buffet options were decent, not the most plentiful especially considering the price, however buffets are pretty scarce nowadays. Would have been nice to have a different protein other than chicken or fish. I get why lamb wouldn't be offered but maybe 1 more paneer dish would be appreciated. I didn't care for any of the curries other than the tikka masala, and I hope this isn't blasphemous but I mixed the tikka masala with the saag paneer and just WOW. So good!

TBH I think I rather just go else where and order individual entrees. Yes lunch/dinner would cost more, but I'd be more satisfied with the quality of what we were eating, in addition to having left overs to pick apart for another meal. I'm going to keep my eyes open for other Indian buffets because this one just doesn't really hit the mark for me. I think if they offered a few more options, or reduced the cost, it would be more worth it for me.

Pro tip- mix the tamarind and cilantro chutney (1:1) and use it as dipping sauce for the samosas and veggie pakoras.

Please know that I say this with absolute sincerity: this is the best Indian food I've ever eaten--and I've eaten a lot of it. I grew up with friends of the family from India, and I've sat at many an auntie's table. This place is something special.

The atmosphere is a 2 at best, but honestly who cares if you have someone you love sitting across from you splitting a Taj Mahal with you? I went twice with my grandpa while visiting and it was cold inside both times, so bring a sweater and brace yourself. I do not want to know what's in the back room, please don't ever tell me, all I want is to eat this food forever.

I went here today for the first time. Hands down the best indian food I've ever had. My partner and I shared the Sargam Vegetarian Feast that serves two. We ended up having plenty of leftovers and I'm so happy to eat that for work tomorrow. The people who work there are very kind. I would definitely recommend this spot!
