I came for Happy Hour after work on a Thursday with coworkers. The ambiance was cute, casual, and modern. There were few others at the time. It was my first time and the service, food, and drinks were excellent and a great price point for the area.

They had a special for margaritas on Thursday and staff allowed you to customize the flavor (e.g. guava, mango, spicy, etc), choose between mezcal or tequila, and choose tajin or salt rim! The drinks were also surprisingly strong for Happy Hour drinks! My coworkers ordered some of 5he draft beer options.

They also had specials for tacos and Buffalo wings ! The wings were very crispy and the tacos were also good and flavorful. The complimentary salsa and chips also really hit the spot.

I have to be honest in hopes that this will save someone else from wasting their money here.

The Good: The staff was friendly & attentive. The interior is stunning with a beautiful bar full of infinite mezcal bottles.

The Bad: The food--which is the reason most people go to restaurants--was awful. I got the loaded taquitos and the chicken inside was bland. It's like the boiled chicken you give your dog when they're sick. The elote was dry and flavorless aside from the cheese. Probably the worst was the carnitas--gray cubed meat shoved into a dry tortilla under the guise of it being an "enchilada."

Found out the new owners bought out the spot and NO ONE from the previous ownership stayed. That should tell you everything you need to know.

Clearly they're spamming this account with positive reviews. Maybe put that effort into improving your menu or you'll go under.

I've been meaning to try this place forever and finally got my chance the other night. I tried one of their smokier mezcals (which was great) and split the Molcajete Mixto, which was plenty for 2 people. What I loved is that the dish came with 6 tortillas, which was more than enough and allowed us to enjoy without having to flag someone down halfway through the meal to ask for more.

Service was a bit on the slower side, but that may have been because we were in a rush and they clearly weren't. Give yourself a bit more time and I doubt it'll be a problem.

This little cute bar in Atwater was just what I needed to unwind from a busy week. We opted to sit at the bar but there's plenty of tables to sit at. The bartenders were super nice and the cocktails were so good! I also tried the Mezcal mule and it's such a great take on a classic mule. Interpretation: SO GOOD! They also bring you chips and salsa (which I love) and shared a ceviche. Can't wait to come back here!

      Ceviche. Yum!

They've only been open for a month! We had a large party before a meeting and r here was plenty of space on the front patio for all of us. The service was good. I loved the salsa & chips. I ordered the mole enchiladas with beef and no sour cream. It came with sour cream and no guacamole. I mentioned it and guacamole came. Thanks. My only problem was there were NO SALADS on the menu. I would have loved a little salad with my $17 enchilada plate. But all the food was delicious! Thank you for a yummy meal.

The food was so bland, barely any seasonings, and all the meat was dry. The prices were also very high for such bland food! $5-8 for one taco that tastes like nothing... It also took a long time for the food to arrive even though the restaurant was less than half full.
I regretted not just going to the family slinging street tacos under the ez-up tent down the street.
The wait staff was very nice, but that was about it.

As an Atwater local, Sagrado Mezcaleria has become a neighborhood gem to enjoy 5-star Mexican cuisine and exceptional cocktails at a reasonable price. I have tried a wide selection of cocktails there, especially the spicier ones, all of which have been home runs! The amiable bartenders at Sagrado definitely have the 'Midas Touch' and go above and beyond in maintaining a lively, yet hospitable atmosphere. Tuesdays are a go to for Happy Hour Tacos 3 for $7, which are a steal for the gourmet taste! Most recently, I ordered the mixed fajitas, which in my opinion are the best fajitas I've had compared to other restaurants in the Glendale area. You will definitely taste the homemade recipes and exotic ingredients that sets this Mexican restaurant apart. Looking forward to my next experience at Sagrado:)

Wow this was by far the worst meal I have had in a very long time. I paid $22 for a plate of Carnitas that was essentially dog food. Cubes of meat, unseasoned and dumped on the plate. When the waitress brought it I thought it was a joke. The ambiance of the place is fine and the mezcal selection is superb. Just don't get food.
