Ruby Tuesday in Troy Alabama needs a little TLC.
We went there to get the salad bar but looked at it when we walked in and it looked like it was hit by a tornado.
It was really a mess. Honestly would not have gotten it even if it was free.
Took a while to get seated (very nice receptionist once she saw us) and a while to order even though not that crowded (About 10 tables of customers) That was because there was only ONE server working. That one server was the saving grace. She was handling every table by herself. She had a great attitude and was really trying - and pulling it off...
Her name was Jamiah.
They are lucky to have her.
If you want a great employee go in there and find her and offer her a better job maybe...
The food was cold and seemed low quality -maybe microwaved... We split an entree w 2 small sides and a $31 bottle of wine - our tab was almost $80 w tip.
Our table was very sticky so we quietly cleaned it ourselves w soap and water and towels from bathroom.
This restaurant does not seem to be very well managed.
Not to be critical but if you charge the money - do better.
Our server was always doing whatever she could... she was stressed but always a real smile. We tipped her well.

The steaks were overcooked and tough. The scallops were also over cooked ans dry, the skins wer cold and overcooked. The best thing on the plate was the fries!!!
Our wáitress was very sweet. when we complained she got the manager. Thank goodness he took $40 off or our bill would have been$80+!

Well it was another odd event in a day of strange events after Ian suggested strongly we leave Florida. Beat a hasty retreat to Troy a stop on the way home.
Arrived a little before 7. Seated promptly. Examined the salad bar (former hallmark of Ruby Tuesday) devastated 2 hours before closing with no plan to refresh.
Server was pleasant but harried having to cover to many tables. Ordered burgers. Food was properly prepared and tasty. Server appeared suddenly and says "our card reader has crashed and hope you have cash. " We had barely enough to cover the tab and ended up Venmo the tip. Quite funny said we could go to ATM and return to pay.

Wait staff is good & very pleasant but the hostess was pretty much chasing people out by quoting 30 min wait time when the restaurant was pretty much empty.
This was after the Troy vs Army game so you would think the manager would have staffed the restaurant better than that, knowing people would come after the game.
They lost a lot of customers b/c the hostess has no personality, quotes a long wait time and pretty much acts as if customers are an inconvenience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

The salad bar had stale lettuce and was low on everything else and this is at 11:30am it looked as their was only 2 waitresses in the whole bldg. Ours was running for all see was worth but after taking our order and bringing the drinks no service till she brought it check. Will not go back

Chicken Caesar Salad take out. Didn't notice until later that the romaine was wilted and brown and see-through. Absolutely disgusting.

Salad bar is really all that's good here. Had steak & ribs with the honey sauce. Ribs were DRY and rubbery no flavor. Steak wasn't to bad as well as broccoli was cooked right. Service was very good (since Covid we've had to lower our standards of what good service is). Would eat here again but would probably only do salad bar. ***wish they would serve pickled beets not just sliced beets. Would greatly improve salad bar

2/19/22, traveling & stopped in Troy for the night. Five stars for Ruby Tuesday - one star for Door Dash app and customer service. No issues with Door Dash driver.
Ordered online via Door Dash app, two items were missing. Receipt attached to carry bag did not have missing items but online door dash receipt did.

The food was decent, the service was ok. But the floor is nasty and needs a deep cleaning. It smells and they do not do a great job of cleaning the salad bar.

Food is usually pretty good, floors do need a deep clean or new mops. I do not like carpet in a restaurant it just contributes to bad order and germs.
