I have been coming to Rubi's since I was a kid (30+ years) and it has never disappointed! Try the Super Nachos or their basic bean and cheese deep fried burrito! It has been an absolute favorite for my family for years!
I have read some of the 1 star reviews and I can honestly say I have NEVER come across those types of issues at Rubi's. Oscar and the rest of the staff have always been great with customer service. Zero complaints from me and my family! My advice, do not let other people's few strange experiences stop you from trying this great family business that has been a staple in Whittier for 50+ years.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - T O.Whittier, CA1332134Jan 2, 2024
Been here a couple times now. Tried the tostada bowl, burrito and chicken sandwich. Overall, all are pretty tasty and priced competitive.
The place looks clean and pretty quick w the orders.
Service could be friendlier, guys at register seemed like it wasnt his day, or hung over...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bryant M.Los Angeles, CA57129Apr 30, 2024
i asked for a breakfast burrito and got this. I took a couple bites from the huevo con chorizo and it had some crunchy egg shells in it. It absolutely disgusting (i just threw up the food halfway writing this(and i have never thrown up after eating a food before) I'm so disgusted that the quality of the food just went down hill from the last time i came here last year. What a terrible way to start my morning :(

The food is amazing. The prices are more than fair and the service is friendly and fast Carne Asada Torta, the cheeseburgers and all the Mexican food top notch.

Love the drive up breakfast burritos on the weekend. They even did me a favor and made me some vegetarian breakfast burritos really fast while I was sitting in the drive through lane, only potato egg and cheese. I love the bean and cheese breakfast burritos. Everyone working the drive through has been courteous, fast, and efficient. I love it. It's a great place to swing by when you are starving after taking a Saturday morning hike.

BRAVO! You may start a new trend on how to rip the consumer of their hardworking money, but you won't get mine. Why the change? The $3.00 burrito is good and makes a profit, I'm sure. But to ADD a DOLLAR to EACH burrito using a credit card is selfish and should be re-evaluated and changed to per transaction.

Bean and cheese..basic and yet they still managed to not get it right.
They didn't even warm up the tortilla, beans were cold, cheese wasn't melted, sooo bad. Oh and it was Monterey jack or mozzarella, not sure. Just a major no for me. TB bean and cheese are way better than this!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 6, 2024
Last Sunday, I went to Rubie's after more then a 35 year absence. I would always eat here in the early and mid 1980's. There has been changes to the building since my last visit but one thing that has not change is their delicious food. I ordered a breakfast burrito with bacon and beans no potatoes and a Chile Relleno burrito to go. As I waited for my order in their "to go order" wait room I remembered vividly what was once in that room. In the early 80's, when one walked into that room, they walked into an arcade with both walls lined with video games. My thoughts of hearing the sounds of Centipede and Pacman was interrupted by my food order number being called. The young lady behind the counter asked if I wanted red or green salsa. I asked for red and out the door I went and drove back home with my food. Arriving at my condo I tasted each burrito. First I tried the breakfast burrito. If a place dose not have great beans their burritos will suck. Not with Rubi's. Bitting into my breakfast burrito I could taste their awsome beans, good quality bacon, cheese and fluffy eggs. Setting this half burrito aside I tried their Chile Relleno burrito. Bitting into my burrito the spicy flavor of the chile, melted cheese and those delicious bean put me in my happy place. I was extremely happy about the food and the red salsa had nice heat and flavor. It may have been 35 years since my last visit but I can tell you I will be returning.

They have the best green burritos so tasty. Their salsa is so good. We have been going there for many years. I truly recommend when you want some good Mexican food we've been supporting the family business for many years.
