This is a low end discount store, why is it then that a security guard needs to greet you when you walk in the door? Unsettling for sure.
Every department is in disarray it's very time consuming to look through everything. Dressing rooms are falling apart. Needs maintenance for sure.
Big discounts from original suggested price on cheaply made knock offs.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 562461812Dec 24, 2019
Not great. I typically am not a fan of Ross, but sometimes you get lucky and they have this or that in a pinch that you couldn't find somewhere else. The clothes here are cheap an not well made, I don't usually buy them. Thumbing through, I didn't see much of a selection - same with shoes and housewares, no great finds.
This store is really messy and disorganized, even some of the shelving is crooked. I don't want to bother spending much time looking around here, it just stresses me out and makes me want to leave. There are clothes and shoes strewn everywhere. The dressing room area looks dirty (I didn't dare wander into the bathroom). There is always a line here, and to make it as frustrating as possible, they cattle-car you into this line/maze made of low shelving with even more crap in them - it's impossible to find where this line starts, and a pain in the ass the climb over, squeeze past, and wade through all the people and crap blocking your access to it.
The staff here doesn't have the best customer service, but I will say I bet it's because they are pretty unhappy at work and might be a little more willing to look more cheerful and do a better job if the management of this store was better.
Ultimately I found what I was looking for - a cheap pair of Christmas socks.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 10, 2018
This Ross Store is sliding downhill without snow. I went to return something I bought as a Christmas Gift. I don't know about you but I cut off the price tag before I give a gift. The acting manager would not even give me store credit despite me finding the exact belt in the store.
I was beyond furious at this point. I shall also note I used to shop here often. No more I drove to the Draper store they refunded my money without me asking and the fabulous customer service is worth it. The store is much cleaner too. So this will be my new Ross and good ridance to that hideous manager they haveHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 29, 2017
I've liked other Ross locations in the past, but I have not been impressed by this one the couple times I've visited. If you're looking to buy discounted clothing TX Maxx or Marshalls have a far better selection, and much nicer brands. This location seems kind of grubby.
Customer service was fine, but nothing outstanding, and on a Saturday the line was slow, with a wait to check out of about ten minutes. I just really didn't find anything to interest me in going back, and I don't think I will.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 309125128083Nov 6, 2012Updated review
It's pretty much been covered in my past reviews, but I do need to add (and by that I mean subtract) this one: It was 2:30 on a Tuesday afternoon, and there were no less than 10 people in line in front of me. Two cashiers doing their very best, but it still leads to a painful wait in line.
Honestly. If it's this bad during the mid-afternoon on a weekday, you can only imagine how terrible the wait can be on Saturdays. Don't get me started on holidays.
I do enjoy dressing for less. But this waiting around in huge lines has got to go.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0May 21, 2011Previous reviewWhen I originally reviewed this I had just come from the Holiday season and had suffered in some pretty long lines. I thought I would give it a few more chances to let all that clear out and see what business as usual looked like.
MOTS, you know? More Of The Same. It doesn't seem to matter what time of year, what time of day, or what day of the week. Either I have horrible luck, or they need to be snappier and more efficient and checkout.
I will say, though, that this is a pretty clean place (outside of the holiday season) when you compare it to other discount retailers. And it is a fairly new building so if I'm out running errands and need to dress (or home decor, or kitchenware, or linen, or accesory) for less, I'll probably head here.Feb 13, 2011Previous reviewDo I dress? Yes. Then why not dress for less? There are a few reasons.
1) You know the drill. It's like a scavenger hunt, only you don't really know what you're looking for, but sometimes you just end up finding it. The same things that annoy me about shopping clearance racks bother me at Ross Dress for Less. You just sort of roll the dice and see what happens. Of course, the same things I love about clearance rack diving apply here too. Every so often you come up with something that rocks greatness. Red slacks for six bucks, anyone?
2) The mess. They seem to have really stepped it up at this location, but you still see a lot of clothes strewn about, especially in the ladies shoe section. Holiday shopping is a joke and more often than not it looks like a clothing bomb has gone off.
3) The lines. Oh the lines. This is a serious point of contention. I always, always wait in long lines here. Sometimes when we couple-shop (the power of shopping x 2) one of us will get in line while the other shops. It's that bad, even when the store isn't so crowded.
4) Is it really that great of stuff? I submit that for the most part it's acceptable, with mostly blah feeling, and a few horrifically awesome exceptions. Trucker cap with a pirate that says, "I've got the hook up"? Best. Find. Ever.
Everything above keeps me from coming back here too often, but lately Ross has been a great place for home decor and kitchen stuff. Often I can find a decent cutting board or set of glasses on the cheap that's actually not bad for a gift when I'm in a pinch. Just do something about the long lines! - Sep 30, 2018
I always have high hopes for Ross but it always seems to disappoint. If you are lucky you can find some decent cheap mens and kids wear but the womens for get about it. Everything is over picked and unorganized with the line always super long.

+3 for great prices on a variety of items, and nice checkers
-2 for being in a state of disarray, and for some reason an unpleasant fitting rooms/bathrooms area
The poles on the carts prevent you from taking them outside, just FYI :)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Birgitta C.Kamas, UT02Jan 31, 2021
Horrible customer service. Charles was so unhelpful and rude. I was trying to exchange a gift (of course I don't have the receipt) and he wouldn't exchange it for a gift card at least. I am never shopping here again!! TJmaxx would never have a problem changing anything so go and buy there instead! If I could leave no star I would!

Horrible customer service, and horribly understaffed. 23 people in line waiting to make a purchase and one cashier no one coming to help and no one called for help asked twice if additional cashiers were on their way, cashier just blew me off.
