Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

I came to rita's approximately 3 minutes before close on august 27th. Despite the late arrival, the staff went above and beyond and were extremely friendly. Very impressed with my blendini and overall service.

Pretty good water ice and gelato, usually about 10 or so flavors of ice available, plus soft serve and mix-ins. You can almost always find coupons in the mailers and papers if you live in the area. Most of the local high school kids who staff the place are friendly and do a good job, although you do sometimes have to suffer through other local customers trying to flirt with the staff! ;-) Parking can be an issue at times, but there us an abandoned real estate office right next door that provides lots if extra space, and it is easier to get in and out of.

I demonstrated admirable restraint in not ordering the Gelati today. You see I only came to get a quart of vanilla custard to go with a cobbler. Unfortunately this location does not sell them. Instead I purchased less than half of what I was planning to. Also of note is that they only have 3 custard flavors. Said item is on par with other Rita's, but interestingly enough not all are created equal. 3.5 Yelps
