One of the first hotels I've been in where a safe is not standard in the room. You can feel every spring in the sofa bed as well, not a comfortable sleep if you have someone staying on that. We were missing some amenities upon checking in as well such as a towel and shampoo and soap

Wow!! One of the best hotel stays we've stayed at! I've always liked these type of hotel chains, like the residence inn, Hilton garden inn, courtyards, etc. They are extremely bigger with a kitchenette and free breakfast.

We came here because my friend had a room block for her wedding. Location is great. Literally right in the middle of all the good food in Valco area. Plenty of free parking in the structure too. Right across from a Phil's and a nice hang out square.

Our room was huge. We got a bottom floor and was able to check in early. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Huge kitchenette. The bathroom is amazing, best shower ever. Super clean and new!

Hot breakfast was great! Eggs, sausage and potatoes. Nice lobby, friendly staff, and a great patio with a dog friendly release area.

I know it's just an "inn" and not considered a "4 or 5" stars but it totally beats any 5 star accommodation I've stayed at.

GOUGING customers during terrible, stormy weather! Shame - Don't stay here! We'd been impacted by power outages in the Bay Area so I called this hotel today to see if I could work the day there, paying for a night. I was told a studio was available so I drove over and was told the daily rate was $685! The guy at the front desk said it was for "high occupancy, surge pricing." I'm a local so I'll tell you there are other nice hotels close by (that were charging the normal rate), including a Hyatt House plus an Aloft and the Juniper Hotel, part of the Curio collection - all busy by citing a normal rate. I booked the Juniper and would highly recommend it. I value ethical businesses.

Again what matters in a hotel is simple. Clean. Comfortable bed/pillows and a great shower. Easy parking. Yes this check all off all easily. The bed was amazing and not stiff which so many are. Service was solid but not most important thing as long as it's not rude or unhelpful. If I ever need to stay in the area this will be my choice. Spacious, free breakfast and great location to add to the great bed and show this one truly is a winner. To me better than hotels I've been to that are 5 star.

Such a great experience. Rooms are always clean. Breakfast in the am is clean and to the point. Staff always had my room clean when I asked. Parking is super easy. Best bar is lazy dog. And it's always a plus with Philz coffee right in front of my hotel door. Made it a easy pick.

It would've been nice to have a regular bar downstairs. And a onsite massage therapist.

Best bar on Saturday's right by the hotel. Lazy dog

I don't mean to sound snobby (because I know this does), but I never knew that a Residence Inn could be so nice! Now, obviously, I mean that on a relative scale; clearly, they're nowhere near the same league as The Cosmopolitan in Vegas or The Waldorf Astoria in NY. However, this one certainly sets itself apart from the others I've stayed at before. While all of them were perfectly fine and served their purpose, this was the only one that managed to make an impression (and get me to review them)!

As with any other Residence Inn, the rooms/facilities are designed more with extended stay folks and business travelers in mind than overnight or weekend guests. So, instead of typical resort features like a spa or room service, you get a kitchenette, plenty of work space, and the feel of essentially staying in a small apartment. Except, in this case, with the added benefit of everything being modern, clean, and still (relatively) new (i.e. zero wear-and-tear anywhere when I was here).

For our stay of just one night, our TWO QUEEN BEDROOM SUITE more than satisfied our needs. Aside from the usual room amenities (hair dryer, toiletries, iron/ironing board, coffee maker), the room as a whole was spacious, the in-room wi-fi was both stable and fast, there were several USB charging ports, the kitchenette came stocked (pots/pans, glasses, dish washer, microwave, fridge, etc.), the bed was super comfy, the bathroom was fairly large, there were two TV's, and there was plenty of space to do work.

As for the rest of the hotel's amenities, they're all pretty standard - a gym, a new restaurant/bar (Gentry, owned by the same group as the nearby Steins), a sitting area/lounge, a small convenience store, and a free, daily breakfast "buffet" where you can get your fix of eggs, bacon, waffles, cold cuts, cereal, bagels, muffins, and more (which actually tasted pretty good). In addition, they also have a BBQ/picnic area at the back of the hotel, as well as a wealth of nearby restaurants to choose from, including a half-dozen or so within the same complex (there's also a small Target, in case you need supplies).

Despite "San Jose" appearing in its name, though, don't be confused - this place is located entirely in Cupertino (albeit somewhat close to the Cupertino/San Jose border). The bigger benefit though is for anyone heading over to Apple; a few of their offices are on the other end of the complex, close to a couple of others up and down Stevens Creek, and less than a five minute drive from the main Apple campus/spaceship.

Considering how Cupertino is a little out of the way, this particular Residence Inn might not be the best place to stay if you're looking to do some heavy sight seeing around the Bay Area. However, for extended stays, stay-cations in the South Bay, or business trips (especially to Apple)? I'd definitely come back again!

MY FAVORITE PLACE TO STAY IN SILICON VALLEY!

I've stayed here multiple times, and continue to do so!
I choose it for it's location and value. Located in the heart of Main Street Cupertino, you can walk to many eateries within the square - Pressed Juicery, Lazy Dog, Pacific Catch, 85 Degrees Bakery, Oren's Hummus and SO MUCH MORE! On-site parking is also free.

The Studio King Suite is a perfect size. Has a kitchen with freezer/fridge, microwave, dishwasher and dual stovetop. Cooking and dining utensils all included, as well as dish soap and sponge. However, you might need to bring your own cooking oil.

The Studio King Suite has an L-shaped sofa and side tables. Some of the room variations include a dining table for 2 or a bar-style area with two high chairs. Rooms are equipped with smart TV's and you can login to Netflix, YouTube, etc. The bed is super comfy. There's plenty of storage space. I like that there's a makeup vanity/mirror area separate from the bathroom. The bathroom is nice and modern, with a walk-in shower and well-lighted mirror - very clean.

I love the outdoor patio/courtyard. This area is only accessible to registered guests. There's plenty of seating options and it's very peaceful, especially at night. During my stays, I also like to take walks and you can walk from the hotel to around the perimeter of the Apple Campus. It's a good 1-2 mile loop.

      COVID-19 Adjustments:
      - Fitness Center is closed
      - Breakfast is still served, but not buffet style: Staff members have food prepared in to-go boxes
      - Must be a registered guest to enter; all entry points require a room key to be scanned to open doors

Overall, staff service has always been great! Shoutout to Edwin at the Front Desk for quick and efficient check-ins, and friendly conversation. Always greeted and acknowledged by the friendly staff. The qualities of my stays have always been consistent, and that's why I love staying here.

I stayed in Residence Inn Cupertino for a weekend trip and I have to say it was one of the best hotels that I have stayed in South Bay. The hotel is conveniently located on Main Street mall which has so many food options including Alexander steakhouse, Hidilao, Somisomi, and Philz coffee. The room was very new as if it was newly built and everything seemed really neat. Front desk people as well as a person that was helping over the phone me was super friendly. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are planning on staying near Cupertino area!

Stayed here on our way from Cal Poly SLO to SJSU. A newer hotel, just opening about 9 months ago. The area is beautiful with a new plaza, restaurants/coffee/cafe, and a small city Target. Newly renovated in the last year or so.

The staff at check in was friendly and the girls loved the check in treats they gave us.

As usual RI does not disappoint! The decor and the furnishings were beautifully appointed. The usual conveniences of the kitchenette was en pointe. Breakfast was delicious and there was a large selection of food choices.

I LOVED the shower!!! The water control was located on an exterior wall of the shower not inside or under the water. See the pictures if I've confused you with my explanation. LOL!

No key slot to insert the key but the upgraded technology of tapping the key on the small circular pad on the door. Like using Apple Pay.

We would love to come back and visit San Jose to stay here again. We wanted to walk around and enjoy the surrounding retail shops.

Clean and spacious room. Convenient location walking distance to plenty restaurants, cafes, bakeries, ice cream shops and boba tea stores like Somi Somi, Korean hotdog , Ippudo Ramen , 85 C bakery, Phil's coffee shop, Lazy Dog , Alexander Steakhouse , seafood restaurant, hot pot , Pineapple Thai, sushi, bagel shop, and a Target store. Breakfast is grab n go due to COVID but pretty good selection of items. Free parking and wifi. Fully equipped kitchen with two stove tops , full size fridge , microwave, coffee maker , toaster , etc. Bed was super comfortable. Bathroom is spacious with plenty of counter space. Would definitely stay here again. Front staff were very nice, helpful and friendly.
