This place is beyond run down. First 3 rooms had carpet that was well past it's prime, was stained and smelled like my grandma's leaky basement. If you have allergies you should run from this place. The "remodeled" rooms aren't much better...the carpet is gone so it smells better but half the outlets don't work, there are random holes in the walls, pubes on the bathroom floor, random holes drilled into the work table, a microwave but the cord isn't long enough to plug into anything. There is furniture and lamps etc...scattered around the outside.

This place is just gross. If I hadn't pre-paid and under a severe storm warning would have left immediately. Live and learn.

It's just not what I would expect when paying $150 a night. The carpets are dingy, the tiles in the bathroom are falling off, there's a fridge and a microwave but no coffee. There's holes in the ceiling, the wallpaper is peeling.. idk just seems like the price should be cut in half.

Why is the air unit placed BEHIND the curtain?? Also the TV audio and picture are super low quality.

This place is OK. Not bad for just a 1-night stay before I went off to adventure in other parts of Montana. All i needed was a simple accommodation to get rest for the next day.

I came here straight from the airport roughly about 8:45 PM on a Thursday night. The customer service person at the front desk was friendly but pretty straightforward, got me checked in quickly.

The outside of this hotel isn't all that fancy, but the lobby was nice and welcoming. The room was nice and big, with an open floor plan, I had a pretty nice sized king bed for just little ole me. The double vanity was nice and the bathroom was nice, spacious, and clean.

The only issues i had - TV and drinks.

I am not for sure if it was user error or if there was something going on with the remote control? There was definitely a red light displaying on the TV to signal that it was plugged in and could be turned on. But when attempting to turn it on via the remote control, I got nothing. That was no big deal for me as I'm not really a big TV watcher anyway.

But because I came straight from the airport, I did become thirsty shortly after checking in and getting into my room. I did have a few snacks on me but no drinks. I did have a $20 bill on me so I went down to the front office asking if she had changed so that I could use one of the soda machines on the property. I was told that there was no cash available Because they did very few cash transactions and she had just given away the little bit of change she did have. I inquired about a possible convenience store within walking distance. I was told that there was a grocery store behind the property, but that it had already closed. So needless to say, I had to go the entire day (flying thru airports) and the entire evening with very little to no fluids at all. To say that I woke up the next morning very thirsty is an understatement. And because there's a time difference from where I flew from (east coast) to Montana, I ended up waking up super early in the morning around 5 AM, again extremely thirsty. Breakfast on the property did not start until 7 AM so I had very little to no options until I could get fluids from breakfast being served.

Had to cancel my reservation unfortunately, the front office team was professional and was able to assist me appropriately.

I would give a higher rating if the nightly rate was about half what it is. Unfortunately, this establishment over charges for below par rooms. This place has a very rinky-dink, run down vibe. Underneath our bed was filthy, and the bathroom floor trim was completely detached. The shower tiles have questionable mold, and there are holes in the ceiling. There's no in-room coffee, but at least there is a mini-fridge and microwave. The bed was moderately comfortable and clean. The soap was decent. Customer service was good. Other than that, there's not much to this place. I can tell it used to have its days, but that's far gone. The Red Lion Inn is in dire need of some updates.

On March 29th, 2023 my husband and I checked into the Red Lion Inn located in Missoula close to St. Patrick's Hospital. My husband was scheduled for open heart surgery the next morning.

This hotel is a dump! There were no services or amenities and it was not very clean or maintained.

Upon arriving we realized there was a very tattered, torn and unusable shower curtain in the bathroom. I went to the lobby to ask for a new one. In the lobby there were 2 people hanging around, homeless folks or vagrants, perhaps, and the clerk was asking them to leave. I did get a new shower curtain. The drapes were hanging off of the hooks and Ken and I climbed on a stool to re-attach them the best we could. Wall paper was pulling off the walls in places and the furniture was old and decrepit. The shower had mold growing in it. This room did not look like anything on their website, talk about false advertising!

The next day I asked about the onsite fitness center advertised on the website, it was closed. I went to the room after my husband's surgery and no one was there to clean the room or provide fresh towels or sheets. I had to do to the front desk, again, to get them. During the 5 nights there our room was only cleaned one time.

There was no coffee pot or alarm clock in the room.

The price of the room, even with the medical discount is way overpriced. It should be the same price as the local YMCA or camp ground!

Just checked in on a reservation made 4 months ago. We go over to have a nice swim on a hot day and both the pool and the hot tub are out of service. Made an enquiry with and all I got was it's closed for maintenance! I figured that out already. I then asked why we weren't notified? Crickets.

My experience at this hotel was one of the worst in many years for me. During the check In the front desk staff was yelling at another guest who could not enter his room. I finally get my key and the room was still occupied and dirty. I go to the desk and the staff said this was not their problem and wanted me to get with the cleaning staff. I said that is their job. Completely unprofessional. I was given another room and the room smelled and stained. I went and talked to another front staff and they said they were booked and couldn't help me. I spoke the manager the next day and at least she was pleasant. I was there two nights and I was happy that my room was not broken into. If I had not paid for my rooms in advance, ($150), I would have gone elsewhere. I travel a lot and will never stay at a Red Lion hotel again.

Do not stay here! Druggies everywhere. Dirty rooms that smell like a litter box. The room was so dirty I couldn't even sit down. They also double charged me and I am fighting to get my money back.
