I booked this online, late at night, right after I pulled off the highway, so I didn't read any reviews. Upon arrival I was nearly horrified by the lack of a hotel sign. The lobby was remodeled and the gentleman who checked me in was friendly and efficient. It's an old property as indicated by the doors and windows, but the room, carpet, etc was recently updated. I had a first floor room with a door to the outside. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The pool/indoor mini golf area looked great. Two hot tubs. The pub/restaurant is temporarily closed. They have a grab and go breakfast box. In room coffee.

Nice clean older hotel in Mitchell, SD. Ask for a room on the first floor as there are no elevators. Rooms open to the parking lot which makes loading and unloading easy. Breakfast bags with some prepackaged sandwiches, water, Sunny-D and a sweet roll are provided for guests. Face masks are required in public areas. Thanks, Mike, for a seamless checkin.

I stayed here a while ago, and despite it being clearly dated, it was a very pleasant stay. The indoor minigolf is a lot of fun, and the hot tub seemed clean when I went (in early July). It was a relaxing stay. Standard continental breakfast. Room was alright, nothing luxurious but comfortable for the price.

There's not really that much going on in Mitchell, so I was glad that there was this place with things to do besides the Corn Palace.

Spent last night (5/14/18) here as we were driving around checking out the prices & what the rooms are like. Came in and they honored my husband as he is a Veteran and gave us an amazing room.

The staff was very friendly and yes we got a call from the front desk making sure everything was satisfactory... didn't expect that as we don't normally have that when we stay at a hotel. Very nice touch.

They offered lots of amenities such as exercise room, huge pool along with pool for little ones, hot tub, miniature golf, game room, etc....

When we checked out, they were very gracious to correct a mistake from the previous receptionist as the military rate only applied to my husband and they wanted to charge us an additional $60 making it $120 for the room.... The room was great when I thought the price was only $59 but not for $120.... but again, they were amazing when the corrected it to the original amount of $59/night to which that is what my husband signed it as.... very glad they took care of that situation....

      Updated review

Decided to try again since it has been "remodeled" since our last stay. The rooms don't smell as much as before. The rooms were somewhat updated. The bathroom door touches the toilet which kinda creeps me out. I don't know who they hired to do the sloppy painting. The sofa bed was disgusting! My kids slept in it and thankfully had their own linens. The rooms weren't inspected thoroughly before our visit since there was a small purple baby blanket and opened bag of Cheetos left behind for my kids to find. The water cups in the bathroom ARE NOT individually wrapped so who knows how long they've been there or who's used or touched them. We didn't use the pool which was open. The vents didn't work at all in either bathroom,

The customer service was great but the hotel room was substandard.
It smelled of cigarettes and the carpet had many stains on it. The shower also had crud in the cracks that could easily be scrubbed clean.
I wouldn't recommend and none of the guests were wearing masks around the pool and bouncy house/ mini golf area.

What a gem! I had not been there since I was a kid! I got tired and needed to stop, and picked this hotel. The gentleman working (training?) at the desk was amazing, the hotel is lucky to have him. Cleanest hotel pool I've seen. Comfortable beds. Quiet. 2nd floor is outdated but very clean, first floor looks remodeled very recently. PERFECT for kids. I now plan to travel to Mitchell just to take my kids here for a night. How many hotels have a bounce house?!

      Needs updating and other improvements.

This Ramada is a bit dated, but has some elements that give it potential. For amenities, there is a large pool, two hot tubs and even an indoor mini golf course. Despite these, more attention to other details are needed.

I was put up in a suite that was very large. The side-by-side room had a living room with sofa on one side, with two beds in the other. Each room had a separate full bathroom. With that said, the room could use a makeover to be more modern. Everything felt at least 20 years old.

Maybe there is work being done, because I was woken up around 7 a.m. by a very loud hammering sound. This ruckus went on for at least a half hour and there was no way to go back to sleep.

It was raining and the parking lot flooded, suggesting that better drainage is needed. No one wants to slosh through three inches of water to get in/out of your car.

If they can do some remodeling (without being too loud early in the morning), this Ramada could be really nice.

This is an excellent Ramada. Good service at the front and a great pool/play area for kids in the holidome. Good location and friendly, efficient service. Grateful to be here this weekend.

This property was closed for months due to pandemic and is not ready to open. Room had peeling paint, malfunctioning heating system, phone was out of order and mold in the tub. Was scheduled for two nights there, checked out after one. Attempts to give feedback to Wyndham/Ramada are not functioning on website and phone customer care is not accepting calls. Will be avoiding any Wyndham property until customer care is reachable.
