Portland Pie Co hails from Portland, Maine and they've got some boujee pizza. Their large 16" specialty pizzas are a whopping $21.99. Whew, I can only afford to eat here right after I get my paycheck and feel like treating myself. The pizza is definitely good though and for sure some of the best Manchester has to offer. It's not my #1 place in Manchester but it's in the top 3. What sets Portland Pie apart is the fact that you can pick different dough flavors: basil, beer, garlic, and wheat. Being a bit of a dough amateur - I stuck with the beer dough and thought it was pretty tasty. I noticed that the majority of the low ratings were due to poor service and I can't really comment on that because I ordered delivery.

The "Merrimack River" is Portland Pie's version of the classic margarita pizza. The marinara sauce here is a bit on the sweet side but it's packed with flavor. I like their take on the margarita though and you can't go wrong with the classic combination of tomato, mozzarella and basil. Perfect trio that compliments each other well. The "Monhegan" aka Steak Bomb was also super tasty. I recommend it if you're looking for a pizza without tomato sauce - it's all cheese, onions, green peppers and steak. Delicious. I was also surprised to find that their wing game was solid! Their buffalo wings were cooked perfectly and wasn't drowning in buffalo sauce like most places do wings. The size of the wings was also substantial. Nothing disappoints me more than getting puny wings with barely any meat on them.

Great pizzas, unique flavors replicating flavors from other foods, nice extensive beer selection, good gluten free bread, and friendly helpful staff in comfortable clean environment make lunch an easy enjoyable time together. Full bar with great bartenders for those who like to imbibe as well.

We used to live in Maine and frequented the biddeford location. In comparison, this was much smaller, and definitely dirtier (see picture). That being said, we were pleasantly surprised to get a table on a Saturday night without a wait. Also, our waitress here in Manchester (petite blond with tattoos) was far friendlier and more attentive despite how busy it was than any waitstaff in the biddo location. Now on to the food...we ordered the same thing we always get: Merrimack pizza with sausage (this time on garlic but generally on wheat) and a a steak and blue salad. We found the salad to be as good as Maine, if not a bit skimpier on the blue, but with better steak, but the pizza to be greasier and more overcooked. There is no lot here but we found street parking fairly easily.

OK, so this was a disappointing visit. We used to go to the Nashua location and the food was way better. I'm not sure why, but it was. The location was better too... with a nice patio outside and views of the river.

I missed the pizza, so for my birthday we took the trip up to Manchester and, well... it just wasn't the same. While the waitress was very nice, we ended up getting beer crust on our pizza when we ordered basil crust. The waitress told us it was basil but we compared that crust to the small pizza we ordered in the beer crust and both were the same.

Not a huge deal, but when the pizza wasn't as good and we didn't get out of there for less than $70, even with 2 free kids meals (Wednesday's)... it was disappointing.

The rest of the food was just mediocre. The buffalo pretzel app was mostly just buffalo cheese with a few small pretzel balls and some veggies. There should have been way more of those. They're pretty cheap... come on Portland Pie Co!

We got a medium half meat lovers half Hawaiian pizza. Hawaiian is on the left meat lovers was on the right. Pizza was overly cooked and greasy. There was practically no meat on the meat lovers and the Hawaiian had a small amount of pineapple and ham. Everything was burnt including the cheese. This is a 25$ pizza.....

VEGAN CHEESE!!! Specifically, vegan cheese that actually tastes decent, and that itself is good enough of a reason for four stars. You can sub regular cheese with vegan cheese on any of their specialty pies (and also you can build your own pizza with it). I got Moosehead with vegan cheese on garlic crust and it was pretty delicious. Even my non-dairy-allergic boyfriend appreciated it. The cheese itself is a bit salty...but definitely satisfied my cheese craving! Good service, too, and my friends were happy about their calzone and sandwich.

Also we were here on Trivia Tuesday, and despite me sucking at Trivia, it was a good time!

We had a chicken and sausage pizza and it was kind of bland... The cheese, the chicken, the sausage...none of them had a deep, flavorful taste...

The crust was nicely done and crispy, but again, it was not very flavorful.

Overall disappointed...not my choice for pizza in Manchester...

We went here for lunch on a Friday. Our server was very nice and gave us some good recommendations.

We got the mushroom and goat cheese pizza which was awesome! Definitely recommend.

My coworkers got sandwiches and a salad and they were perfectly adequate but nothing to write home about. My coworkers focaccia on his sandwich got soggy from his fruit salad side and the kitchen made him a new one on the spot which was nice of them.

All in all a good atmosphere, great service and decent food.

Welp, I still haven't gotten my drink 20-30min after ordering, (much needed after 2 of the 4 apps I wanted they don't have). This place has a total of 4 tables filled right now. There are more workers (or should I say people who are getting paid to do nothing) than people eating.

This place, in a word. BLOWS.... I will day at least our server is somewhat nice.

To be continued before I send!

APP Update!!! The apps I really didn't want, (because the 2 I wanted were out, buffalo wings and Brussel sprouts) both came out burnt! SMH...

      Annnnd dinner....

Dinner actually wasn't that bad. Could have been much worse based on prior issues. So I'll raise it to 2 stars. Definitely not giving it 3 stars.... one employee just walked by totally reeking of weed....
