About the Business
Craveworthy pizza by the slice and good vibes in a cave that's Fraggle Rock meets Scooby Doo. Extensive vegan options for those who care, and all the meats for those who are going that route.

After reading the reviews on several Jacksonville social media posts we knew we just had to see what this place had to offer. First, it's located in Riverside which is a little area with some bars and small local shops. The pizza cave itself is really a hole in the wall but inside is really a cool place to go to. Several tables and booths but not really set up for large groups. They also have counter service as opposed to a waitress or waiter style of service. So, you grab a table and order or order and grab a table. They have a few selections of sliced pizza or you can order a pie. We were a party of 5, so a few had slices and some appetizers and a small pie. Food was good; the ambiance was better than the food this time around. Cool place to go in for a slice and coke. We will return.

Neat little place. They have a wide selection of pizza along with what you would find in a movie theatre such as popcorn, nachos, pretzels, and if you are lucky... Fried pickles. We thought the food was good. It's self serve so you order at the counter and someone brings you the food.
My wife and I drank beer and wine so we had to keep coming back to the counter to order. Not a deal breaker but the options are very limited and it's quite pricey. Sort of like... Movie theatre prices lolHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 8, 2022
Had the opportunity to attend a private event here, had some yummy popcorn while I waited and a delicious pizza that had Kalamata olives and pepperoni amongst many other yummy ingredients. I had the 10" and did finish the entire thing because it was delicious, but then again anything with a Kalamata olive to me is perfection. The place looks like a place taken out of Disney world, it's really cool and different and I can't wait to bring my kids to experience this enchanted place! The Owner was there and she shared a bit of their story and how this place came to be, she is very colorful just like the cave!
If you are looking for a different place then this is the place to visit. Family friendly and they serve booze... soo fun for the whole family. LolHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jose H.Orange Park, FL61286Jan 7, 2024
Definitely not a good place waited long for the chip and salsa and then even longer for a pizza .. price is not too bad but yea definitely not a place to eat at night ..cool things on the wall and a little of the lighting but they should definitely fix up the place and get the food out faster

There's a lot of reasons to give The Pizza Cave high marks. Located right in the heart of Five Points, enjoy all the surrounding shops. Kid friendly. Vegan and gluten free options. They serve beer!
At first glance, you are stepping right into a cave. It's quirky and interesting. Definitely makes it memorable and picture worthy. The owners also own the Sun Ray Cinema, hence the movie theater food, but they put their own twist on it. And I'm here for it! Whole and by-the-slice pizza, finger foods like nachos, fries, pretzels, sandwiches.
On the table: Black Lagoon Supreme-sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, roasted garlic, kalamata olives. This made me so happy! I'm a big fan of whole roasted garlic and the crust was perfection. The Swamp Fries sounded unique, bowl of fries smothered in kimchi, marinara, queso, and fried egg. The egg is fried hard, I was hoping it would be a little runny for that "ooh ahh" effect. The flavors weren't melding together for me. The Rick and Porky Dawg was a hit. Bold and flavorful. Pork kielbasa topped with pickled red onions, roasted red peppers, and housemade Szechuan sauce. Served with chips.
The staff was friendly and colorful, just like the place. They mentioned that they don't get as much traffic for lunch during the week, that works for me! I will definitely be stopping in for a slice!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 4432571751Dec 7, 2022
I love NY style pizza, especially large thin pizza slices!
The taste is amazing. The atmosphere of the Pizza Cave is relaxing and welcoming. I had to show how large the pizza was by taking a close up comparing it to my head! I went here with a few friends and I can't wait to take my husband here since he's a pizza connoisseur!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 29, 2022
We have walked past this place 100x and has always said "we need to try there sometime" we'll finally last night we said it and instead of continuing on we went back and went it. Darn glad we did!
The decor is super fun designed as an actual cave. There are a ton of vegan meet and cheese options and they have some very fun pizza options.
The staff was super helpful and pizza came out quick. Boy o boy was it good!! Loved it!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 8, 2023

Pizza Cave! Pizza Cave! Pizza Cave!
Come on, come all to a unique dining experience that is inside this world. Walk in the door, BOOM , in a cave. Great interior design. Half creepy, half fun, all delicious! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Smooth jazz music playing in background.
The pizza is delicious, NY style, I enjoyed every bite.
Good music, good pizza, eerily fun atmosphere makes for a greatly unique dining experience. It wasn't on my bucket list but now I can say I ate pizza in a cave without bats or bears trying to eat me or my pizza.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Mitzi L.Woodbridge, VA06Mar 27, 2024
We were all hyped up, had our three granddaughters and went down there and they're having a special event and was closed to the general public if they are going to do this type of thing they need to advertise it on their site, so we know when to go. We are not sure we will go back.
