Fast casual sister of Centrolina- very bright and airy, not that many seats but enough for lunch quickly seated on a Saturday afternoon , quick service

Pizza with arugula topping and pizza white pizza with mushroom delicious, thin crust and both tasty without being salty

Chicken with escarole salad - I could eat every day. Juicy chicken and a perfectly dressed salad

Grilled calamari on a stick also perfectly grilled and I could have eaten 10 of these

Lemon olive oil cake moist and good size for sharing!

Can't wait to go back- perfect place for lunch after some hefty luxury shopping at city center dc!

In the heart of city center, it's a nice spot to drop by for a snack. My mom and I took our doggos on a day trip on my day off for some shopping and needed to brunch somewhere. We landed here for an outdoor meal.

The service was good but the food was meh. I got the Arucola salad for myself. The dressing itself tasted great but there was too much of it.

Got my mom a Puffy Egg on a Brioche - added on braised greens and crispy pancetta. They forgot the pancetta so they brought it out separately. She informed me the whole meal was lacking flavor, bland, and genuinely forgettable. I'd say we'd stop by here for the convenience but otherwise, there's really nothing to sing home about. The coffee was fine. My ice tea was fine as well.

What a fun place for a healthy brunch while walking and shopping in the city center. Walk on the alley was pretty and the restaurant joint Alana's a great ambience of Italian vibe. Friendly staffs and service were good. See pic below for the menu items we've devoured. All were tasty, especially the breads & light dressings on salad. We were bummed their specialty donut dessert was sold out, perhaps another time. Hope you get to stop by and enjoy! Bon appetite!

Fun, modern, city cafe as close to a European cafe as you'll get in downtown DC. Food is delicious - how many cafes are chef-driven?! - and the drinks always on point.

Picked up lunch to-go on a Thursday around 1 pm. No seats available inside and limited options outside. It took a few minutes to get my iced matcha (which was unsweetened and perfect) and about 10 minutes to get my porchetta sandwich. Sandwich was good (the porchetta itself was yummy) but for the portion size and overall gestalt (the flatbread left something to be desired), I would try something else next time.

Cannoli was great and coffee was good. Everyone was super friendly. Vibes are casual-- good to go to grab a quick coffee or dessert. Definitely coming back to grab some more cannoli when I'm in the area!

Fast service, cute italian cafe with adorable cannolis in city center - feels like a corporate coffee chat spot but it kind of has to be with its location! Would go again!

I have no idea why this place has less than 4 stars. The baguette here transports you to France, the pastries are delectable and the sandwiches are rock solid. Plus the location vibe is spot on. Go here rather than Tate across the street. This is wayyyy better. You won't regret.

Piccolina is a delightful place for coffee or lunch (and dinner, too, apparently as it is open until 9 PM). Located in Palmer Alley in CityCenter, it is prefect for a delicious menu of salads, pizzas and sandwiches. The full coffee bar is wonderful. And there is a happy hour from 3-6 pm daily. It's always so much quieter than the other coffee/bakery restaurants nearby. The staff and management are so attentive to the patrons from the time they walk in through the time they finish. Look at the photos - the food is delicious!
