Delicious, delectable, delightful.
The interior was much bigger than expected. Service was good. Food came out quick. Fresh spring rolls (1A. $6.95) were tasty and paired well with the peanut sauce. The vermicelli bowl (76. $16.95) was packed to the top and tasted amazing. So many flavors and so many textures with the crunch of the carrots and daikon with the savory and sweet grilled pork slices and pork meatballs. Overall, a great experience and a great bang for your buck. Left full and satisfied. Definitely would visit again. Highly recommend!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 30, 2023Updated review
Definitely a go to spot in you're in Quincy . If you're craving for good authentic Vietnamese cuisine, this is the place to go. I highly recommend getting their rice plate special (Com Dac Biet). For $22 you pretty much get everything that goes on a rice plate. The pork chop is well marinated.
Tip - make sure to ask for a small bowl of soup on the side. Best combo.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jul 24, 2023Previous reviewI was totally impressed when I went here for lunch. It was around 1215pm on a Saturday. It wasn't too pack until 1ish. Immediately I was impressed of how clean the place looks. The interior was nice and the lighting gave it a bright clean look.
I wanted to try something other than pho. That's usually either Bun Mam or Bun Canh Cua. I kindly asked the waitress which is better but she couldn't answer and i completely understand why haha
It's been awhile so I decided to try their Bun Mam. I'm so happy that I did! It's probably one of the best Bun Mam I've had at a restaurant. The ingredients was all there, surprisingly. From pork belly, to all the seafood, to even the crispy pork and eggplant! The eggplant made me so excited because it's really good with it.
My cousins got their clay pot pho with short ribs. I'm definitely trying that next time. Everything came out piping hot because of the clay pot. They present you everything on the sides like your noodles and thinly sliced beef.
Overall, it was a really good experience. I'm definitely coming back! - Feb 4, 2023
Pho So 1 offers comforting Vietnamese cuisine in Quincy Center. Parking is somewhat easy to find with a small lot next to the building and a handful of street parking.
APPETIZERS: A group of 7 of us shared the app combo which consisted egg rolls, fresh rolls, escargot meatball, fried shrimp balls, and pork patty rolls. There was definitely a variety which was a great dish but I recommend sharing with 4-5 so you have to try more!
BUN RIEU: So flavorful! Easily the best dish here - the bowl is packed with all the crabmeat and fishcake goodness. This is my comfort food meal and perfect on a cold day.
PHO: The bowl of pho was standard - great broth though I wish it came with more meats!
SERVICE: I think a service is either a hit or a miss at times but generally very friendly!
SPACE: The space definitely can accommodate large groups! They have room off to the side with 3 large tables that can sit 8 - 10.
RESTROOMS: Clean and easy to find!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 327124314Nov 22, 2022
The food here is actually very good. In terms of flavor, portions, taste, it's quickly become one of my favorite Vietnamese spots in Quincy. However, the service does not match the quality of food here. I've visited in person a few times and have spent a lot of my time waiting around than actually eating. It takes a long time to order and I've had to flag a worker down every time for missing items or the check. This would happen even if the restaurant was more on the empty side.
In terms of the food, I have yet to meet a disappointing dish here. Their broth is rich and flavorful without being too oily. Rice plates have always been filled to the brim and all parts of the plate is very well-seasoned and tasty. I recently tried the bun rieu and I loved it as well. It's definitely saddening that the service isn't too great, I'd be here all the time otherwise! But for now, I'd only be able to come visit in person if I have a lot of time on my hands. Maybe take-out is the way to go?Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Dec 25, 2022
This is one of the better Vietnamese restaurants in Quincy. I've been here twice with large groups with positive experiences.
This restaurant is very conveniently located on Hancock Street and has a parking lot right next door that can fit about 20 cars plus street parking. The restaurant is pretty big with lots of tables. There is a private section on the left side of the restaurant that can seat large parties that is partially separated from the rest of the restaurant.
Their vermicelli dishes are good, but I find their pho broth to be a bit bland. I recommend the Special Combination Pho or Vermicelli with Shrimp Balls and Grilled Beef. For the pho, you can get the kids to an extra large size. Their menu is very extensive and has about 90 items among their appetizers, special dishes, drinks, soup dishes, and rice dishes.
The service here is pretty fast. Usually after we order, the food comes out in 10 minutes or less. The restaurant is very modern inside and has a very clean aesthetic. The bathrooms are clean and they have free Wi-Fi with password.
Their prices are on the higher side compared to the traditional Dorchester Vietnamese restaurants, but average for Quincy. The portions were a fair size for the price.
Overall, this is one of my go to places for Vietnamese food in Quincy.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sovana P.Silver Lake, Providence, RI1115589Feb 24, 20241 check-in
Food is good. But you really have let them know what kind of meat you want in your soup or dish. The services was great. We got the food really fast. The drinks were delicious. The place is beautiful. Clean and very well decorated. I recommend.

I have had Vietnamese all over the country.
Now I'm rating this according to the choices I've had in Mass.
Was it the best I've ever had? No.
Does it have good flavor? Yes!
The pho didn't have the depth I like but the flavors were there and it was pretty good.
The soup was great. All food flavor was good and would definitely make this place a regular if I lived a bit closer.
Even the egg rolls weren't skimp on the meat!
I appreciate that.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rima L.Boston, MA432720Oct 1, 2023
Pretty great Pho. Great service. The broth was a little bit too salty for my liking, but its personal preference. I am not sure if this is associated with Pho So 1 Boston in Randolph MA. Personally love Randolph spot more than this one. It was also more expensive for all the right reasons of course. Check it out for yourself!
