I wouldn't buy free water from this location. The customer service is horrendous and a skunk has better interpersonal skills than the management.
Purchased tires nearly 75 days ago and two of them have started to show horrible damage. They state it's due to the alignment--which they failed to offer at the time of purchase. Additionally they have failed to honor the warranty.

Friendly atmosphere, and I had no problem with the service experience. The general manager of the Mobile, Alabama store gave awesome customer service.

Service manager said a tire patch would take 30 minutes to an hour. Took them nearly 2 1/2 hours. Never go to this place. Horrible customer service.

I would not recommend this location. I had new tires installed a month ago and ended up back at the store when one was completely flat. I took it to different shop to have them try to patch it first and he said it was an installation issue and I needed to take it back up to Pep Boys. The customer service was terrible throughout the entire process. When the manager called me the next day, he insinuated I and the other mechanic (who spoke directly with the store) were lying and that the other mechanic had done something to it. The manager refused to help, or even try to find out what was wrong with my tire, we just went in circles with him telling me the store did nothing wrong and they wouldn't do anything for me. He was extremely condescending and unhelpful. I am now taking my car elsewhere to have it repaired to avoid further interactions with this store.

Be careful if you go in to get a tire fixed. Went in to the store Friday because the tire I bought from pep boys two months ago was leaking air. The technician comes out and tells me I have a nail in the "sidewall" of my tire and it can't be fixed and not under warranty of tires. Tells me I will have to buy a new tire. I'm not from Mobile and told them I would go to my local tire store. Went in and they fixed my tire with no problem. I even questioned them about it and the technician I trust told me it was in an easy place to plug. So if you are told they can't plug a tire check somewhere else before buying.

We are from out of state and down in Mobile for the truck show. Our truck blew a tire (among a million other thing). It was almost impossible to find someone to mount our tire in a timely manor so we can get our truck to the truck show before judging. The guys at Pep Boys here in Mobile, really helped us and made it happen when nobody else was willing. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Highly recommend this location based upon there awesome staff and speedy work!

I showed up a little before noon on a Wednesday to get a standard vehicle inspection. Immediately, an angry woman was banging on the manager's office window, yelling that she'd been waiting for half an hour just to drop her car off.
I should have known then to just go somewhere else. Over the next two hours, I heard various other customers complaining between themselves regarding the time they'd been waiting just for service to begin. Most had been there for hours.
Even as I'm typing this, I'm staring out the window at my vehicle, and there is not one employee in sight.

Dec 20, 2018Previous reviewI was at Pep Boys yesterday to get my brake pads worked on and a oil change I tell the sales rep that I didn't know which brakes pads I needed if it was front or back I thought front but wasn't sure so he said it would be awhile till they finished so I went next door come back and still waiting going on 3 hours now then I started watching them through the window work on my car and had a young man come up and asked me which car was mine I said the Land Rover he said oh you know that you didn't need front brakes you needed back brakes but we put on front brakes anyway so my response was wait do what that is observed why would you do that never heard of such I of course go tell the sales rep what he told me well he gets mad goes and gets on to the young man and then come back and told me that he was lying that I did need front and back brakes so I asked him to see my brake pads well of course there was nothing wrong with the brake pads and wouldn't give me the brake pads to take with me did let me take picture so now I have just paid $225 for an oil change and front brake pads that I did not need and wasted 4 hours of my day and money an still have brake problem

I went online and made an appointment for a basic oil change for noon the following day. I made sure to mark that I would need to wait for my vehicle. They did their best to talk me into synthetic even though I told them that I had contacted the dealership the day before and confirmed that they did not put synthetic oil in my car when I purchased it a few months ago. It is now 1 o'clock and my car is still in the parking lot. I was told by two employees that making an appointment really does no good. No apologies were made although one service lady (Amy) did say she would do her best to get my car taken care of as soon as possible. I went to get my keys so I could go somewhere else and they basically just keep saying I was next and wouldn't acknowledge my request for my keys.
