Peet's Coffee

I enjoy the fact that you can get loose leaf teas. However the proportions of tea used and the temp of the water is way off. If you must order it; it's better to get it in person. If it's an online order it does not give you the option to order the tea bag on the side. In order to steep the tea it's a timed thing. Too little and the flavor is amiss; too long and it's bitter and not a good experience; not to mention the water needs to be steeping hot.
The cups and covers are not sustainable and I'm not sure why there seems to be a compromise on the vessel which is supposed to carry liquid and hot products which leads to the other problem... the drinks are at best luke warm even when you ask for extra hot!
As for the coffee options they are pretty good but I usually go for the tea options.
The ambience is as good as any coffee shop.

Location: This coffee spot is a nice location - close to downtown, el camino, parking and farmers market on Saturday.

You get a friendly hello when you walk in.. from somewhere in the store. I commend the person who does this because I imagine it could be exhausting after the 15th time.

Wait: The wait to order took 5 minutes and there wasn't anyone else in line... just me waiting on the staff. Drink took a little over 8 minutes, so it was fast. Looking for a place to wait for your drink may be difficult. Very limited space to wait for your drink. I guess my name is hard to pronounce, the barista that made it didn't even try calling my name out. I had to ask if the drink was mine.

Coffee: the coffee is good -- good balance of coffee and sweetness without the over encompassing coffee punch. I like their ice coffee more than I like Starbucks. I ordered the ice brewed oat milk but the amount was horrible. See attached picture. how come my cold brew is missing 15% from the top and that's me counting the foam too.

Summary: good location, wait time sucks, and good coffee. I've been here a few times -- mornings, weekends, and noon -- and the wait seems to be the norm. I'll try a few more times to see if I just come on bad times. Hoping to give a better review, If not, I guess I'll just travel a little further for Philz or Starbucks.

Great location, awesome staff! A perfect spot to work from on a rainy day. Loved the espresso with art.

I ordered three beverages. I ordered a large coffee, small fruit tea shaker (strawberry lemon), and a small chai latte with oat milk. I tried to use my credit on the app and the cashier said that I had no credit , but that's not what it said on my end. I was in a hurry and also didn't want to hold up the line. I just paid instead of using my credit. The large coffee dripped all over the place. There was a leak at the bottom of the cup. It made a mess. The coffee and the chai latte was hot. The fruit tea was refreshing.

This place used to be great, but now seems to be ran by people who have bever worked at a coffee spot before. The manager just walls around and is unhelpful.

Not only are they non existant when one asks for help, but the younger white guy making the drinks is downright threatening and passive aggressive, i asked him if my order was ready and he told me "to wait my turn or else" , what did he mean by that ????? I left fearing for my safety and plan to never come back. I will be sure to contact corporate regarding this matter.

I am a daily visitor of this Peet's coffee. I am always greeted warmly by the staff . Jen, Riya, Jess & Steve. Service is overall excellent and coffee is always made 2 my satisfaction. It's always nice 2 walk in the store & be greeted by name. A warm greeting & a friendly smile always sets the tone for my day.

There is nothing better than a great coffee together with an amazing service. There is always a great vibe at this location. Carol as always keeping everyone in a great mood and very efficient. I want to refer this yelp to Jen, as always very helpful but yesterday she when out her way to help me out with my peet's app. Thank you very much Jen. I love love my black T. Keep the good work Team Redwood City.

I asked for decaf and they gave me regular. Come on man... not that hard. Not going to to Philz for a while.

Convenient location. Spacious seating areas; indoor and outdoor. Good service, coffee and pastries. Glad their staff is more stable now. Better than Starbucks any day.
